Redmi Note 10 Pro Review - The Php12,000 Flagship Killer?

Last time we put to test the camera and gaming capabilities of the Redmi Note 10, and today we have the pro version of that device. A lot of you are asking for this review, and before we start the review, there is a question on everyone's mind: is this the best mid-range phone you can get right now or is it really a flagship killer? My boy manila? This is pope from manilashaker. com, and today we will review the Redmi Note 10 pro the Redmi Note.10 pro is one of the Redmi Note 10 series that was released in the first quarter of this year. This device is equipped with most of what we are looking for in a device it is powered by snapdragon, 732g, 120 hertz AMOLED display a 5020 million power battery and the quad camera setup, with 108 megapixels for its main cam now housing. Those specs are a gorilla glass back with a glossy finish, a plastic frame that has dual speakers an IR, blaster, a headphone jack and a fingerprint scanner integrated into its power button. A great feature you can have in a sub 15 000 price range, but it is prone to fingerprint smudges.

It is also thicker and heavier compared to its vanilla version, but this device has better premium, look and feel for its display. It has corning gorilla, glass, 5 protection, and it boasts a 6.67 inch, full HD plus AMOLED display it is bright crisp, and we also get richer, colors, deep blacks and better viewing angles. Furthermore, it has a smaller chin compared to the Redmi Note, 10 and also a tad dollar, but the main highlight on the display is the 120 hertz refresh rate, although it doesn't have an adaptive feature that adjusts the refresh rate based on how you are using the device to save up battery still it is AMOLED and the 120hz is a cool feature to have on a not so hefty price tag now heading to its cameras, the camera module of the Redmi Note 10 pro is a bit taller compared to its vanilla version, so you will get a wobbly device when it is placed on a flat surface. Even if you put the case that comes with the package again, we have a quad camera setup with 108 megapixel main cam 8 megapixel ultra-wide 5, megapixel macro and 2 megapixel depth sensor. The outputs of the 108 megapixel main cam sometimes have a warm tone due to scenery.

It also has deep shadows, though. The colors are true to life. It is sharp and detailed as well with HDR on colors gets a little saturated look but more on balancing the exposure. The blacks are now lifted and details pop up ford's night mode due to the 108 megapixel lens. The output is pixel bin to 12 megapixels.

This means that this photo at night is bright and doesn't have a palish look even at low light. Night mode does drastically improve the overall exposure and details are much more visible. Compared to what I see with my naked eye. Now on for the macro, the 5 megapixel macro or what they call, the Italian macro is equipped with a telephoto cam. It has an autofocus that works between 3 and 5 centimeters.

It adds flexibility for your macrophotography. The results are quite impressive. Images are sharp, it outputs, good, colors and details. The depth sensor has good subject to background separation, and it does output good colors, since it uses the same 108 megapixel sensor now. Switching to selfies it has a 16, megapixel, f, 2.5, selfie camera photos are been down to 4 megapixels. It also has night mode on its selfie camera and the overall quality is quite amusing.

Photos are sharp, detailed and outputs true to live skin tone. Moving on to its video recording. It can shoot up to 4k at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. This set of cameras are impressive in their own ways. The 5 megapixel macro is not gimmicky, and it has reliable features like pro mode, clone movie effects and so on so forth, with the cameras out of the way, let's head to its chipset and performance.

As I said earlier, it is powered by snapdragon 732g with an 8 nanometer process. It is a g series. Therefore, it is optimized for gaming. It is paired with 6 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of storage. If that storage is not enough for you, you still have a dedicated micro SD slot that is expandable up to 512 gigabytes for its software out of the box.

It runs on android 11.0, with mini 12. On top the 120hz display, plus its interactive and lightweight UI, is really a smoother experience for me, and it is tutor. Free here are the geek bench and an tutu benchmarks. As for the gaming benchmarks, our first game is Call of Duty mobile for our settings. By default, we are set to high graphics, quality and high frame rates.

We will set it to max frame rates and try it out. The game was smooth. I did encounter a bit of frame drop on the loadout selection right before the countdown, but all in all everything runs smooth. I can do a 360 without any problem. Our second game is PUBG.

Mobile by default. Settings are set to HD, graphics and high frame rates, but you can go up to ultra with balance and smooth graphics. Quality gameplay is smooth, no stuttering or frame drops occurred even with settings set to high graphics and high frame rates. Now, let's head to some other esports titles, let's start with League of Legends, wild drift by default settings are set to quality with 30 fps on. Although this device has a 120hz display for our settings, it turns out 90hz and 120hz.

Don't support our device, so this will be probably available in later updates. So for now we will set it to performance mode with 60 fps on the gameplay is smooth, and I didn't encounter any frame drops. Our fourth game is mobile. Legends by default, high frame rate and HD mode is on graphics. Quality is set to high, but this time let's set it to ultra and test it.

The gameplay was smooth, even though we bumped up the graphics quality to ultra, I didn't encounter any stuttering or frame drops throughout the game. Next is photo devs and their heavy games. Let's start with genuine impact. Our settings by default is set to low, not the lowest just low. I did change the fps to 60 and start the game.

Gameplay is somehow smooth, but we get some stuttering or frame drops during battle. It is not that drastic though, so it is pretty much playable. Our last game is honkies impact. Our settings by default is set to medium video, with everything turned on and 30 fps in combat, with 60 fps out of combat. I set the fps combat into 60 instead of 30 and test the game.

The game runs smoothly. I didn't encounter stuttering or frame drops as well. Out of all the games we tested, the only stuttering we did encounter was on Gandhi impact, and it is bearable again. This device is packed with big numbers and those big numbers are backed with a 5020 million power battery, which is paired with 33 watts. Fast charging juicing up the device from 0 to 100, takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

It isn't bad since it can charge up to 50 in just 30 to 40 minutes. So it can keep you running if you are always on the go overall. The Redmi Note 10 pro is not comparable to flagship devices. It doesn't have wireless charging nor waterproofing. It doesn't come with 5g connectivity as well, which is one of the features we see for future proofing our device, and it is also not equipped with a flagship chipset, and it doesn't have the flagship feel.

But if you are new picking a device with unique abilities and specs with almost what other flagship offers fast, 120 hertz AMOLED display huge 108, megapixel camera with good qualities and a large 5020 William hour battery. For me at the starting price of 12 590 pesos, it has large numbers at a much cheaper and affordable price, and this Redmi Note 10 pro, should be one of your choices on picking a value-wise mid-range device. So that is a review of the Redmi Note 10 pro. What are your thoughts about this device? Let us know in the comment section below.
