Samsung Galaxy A32 5G - Pros and Cons!

How's it going everybody. This is Andre here with the Kevin breeze channel, and this is pros and cons for the Samsung Galaxy a32 5g. This is a relatively new phone and the successor of the Samsung Galaxy a31, and today we're going to be going over some of the best and worst things about it. To get more information on the pricing, availability or just general info on the phone itself definitely check the link in the description. That being said, let's get started, so my first pro for this phone is that it has a big battery. This phone has a 5 000 William hour battery that supports 15 watt fast charging.

So this is pretty much the biggest battery you can get in a phone these days and having a big battery has a bunch of different advantages. So, if you're out and about all the time but still have to consistently use your phone, it's going to give you a lot more life per charge than something like say, an iPhone that has a tiny, 28 15 William hour battery. The difference is huge. It's going to last so much longer, so you're going to be able to get a lot more done with it, and you won't have to worry about your phone dying when you're not near a charger, not only that, but also over time as the battery degrades you're, not going to notice it quite as much as you would with a phone that has a smaller battery, because the battery is so large that it's just going to have a lot more longevity than a phone with a smaller battery and, of course, the fast charging it does help as well. If you do have a 15 watt, fast charger, you're, definitely going to be able to charge your phone even faster.

Now my first con for this phone is, it has a pretty mediocre display. Now this phone has a six and a half inch TFT display with a resolution of 720p a PPI of 270 in an aspect ratio of 20 by 9. There's also an 81.6 percent screen to body ratio. As you can see here, even though the bezels aren't the thickest, they are a little bigger than phones. We might be used to seeing these days, especially most of the 5g Samsung Galaxy.

A series phones do have thinner, bezels and sleeker looks in general than this. So it's a little disappointing in itself. The display is definitely a downgrade from its predecessor as well as the Samsung Galaxy a31 had a 1080p display, whereas this phone only has a 720p display and being that this phone can shoot, 4k videos and 1080p videos in the front camera. It's pretty disappointing that, with such high quality videos, you can shoot on the phone you're not going to be able to view them in anything even close to the resolution that they're shot in since the display is 720p. It is gonna, be limited to that.

So if you shoot a 1080p video with your front-facing camera or a 4k video in your rear camera, I would hope to be able to view a 4k video and at least 1080p. So that's definitely a disappointment. My next pro for this phone is the processor. This phone is getting six gigabytes of ram with the MediaTek density 725g processor, and it is really powerful. We ran a geek bench, 5 benchmark test on the phone, and it came back with a single core score of 472 and a multi-core score of 1520.

So it's going to be able to accomplish a lot for you, whether you're using the phone for basic activities, something like web browsing. It is going to be really fast for that or, if you're doing photo and video editing it's going to be able to handle that pretty well, even some gaming. It's definitely going to be up there. To put this into perspective, I believe the Samsung Galaxy note 8 also had a multi-core score on geek bench 5 in the 1500 range, and that was at the time it was released, one of the most high-end flagship phones in the industry. So even though times have changed and technology has advanced since then it's still a great comparison to really see how high up there.

This phone is. When it comes to processing power. The high ram is also going to help you with things like multitasking you're, going to be able to run multiple apps a lot better than some of the other phones that don't have as much ram. This phone actually does have more ram than the iPhone 12, which only has four gigabytes of ram. So, even though that spec in and of itself, doesn't necessarily mean the phone is faster, it is a good indicator to show really how capable this phone is of doing many types of tasks.

Now my next con for this phone is the front-facing camera. Now this isn't really about the performance of the front-facing camera, because I do think in that regard it is pretty good, but this notch right here is really not very good. Looking at all water drop notches on front-facing cameras, in my opinion, should be done away with. Manufacturers are moving away from that, as it is, they're moving towards hole, punches in fact, even Samsung itself, with the a51, for example, have moved to the hole, punch design for the front facing camera, and I think it does look a lot better, especially considering the bezels of this phone are a little on the thick side as it is. It doesn't really make the phone look any better to have a random little notch in the middle of the top of the screen.

Just for the front-facing camera. It doesn't make a lot of sense, whereas with the hole punch look, it makes it look a lot cleaner and a lot more modern. Combining this with how mediocre the display is, it definitely does give that cheap phone kind of vibe, which is really not what you want out of a 5g phone now. That brings me to my next pro for this phone, which is the cameras now the front-facing camera for this phone is 13 megapixels, and on the back here we have a 48 megapixel, rear camera, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide, a 2 megapixel depth, sensing camera and a 5 megapixel macro camera, so you're really getting all the features. I think it's great to be able to have all of this in the cameras, especially considering that, even though this is definitely getting up there as far as the level of the phone being a 5g phone and all that it is still definitely on the budget side, it's not a flagship phone by any means, but at the same time it not only has all the features of the cameras, but it has really high quality features too, for example, the ultra-wide camera being 8 megapixels.

A lot of the phones at this level are more around 5, sometimes even less in the macro camera as well. I typically see macro cameras around the level of the Samsung Galaxy, a32 5g being around 2 megapixels, but this one is 5 now that in and of itself doesn't really determine the quality of the pictures, but it does go to show that Samsung did put a lot more effort and resources into making sure that this phone really does have a nice and usable camera that you can use in pretty much any situation. Not only that, but the design of these rear cameras does look pretty nice. In my opinion, I do like how it's just the camera lenses no box around them or anything like that, and again it really makes me wonder why they couldn't have done the same thing for the front-facing camera and just added that hole punch. I think it would have really made the look of this phone and definitely would have helped to make up for having thin bezels and a lower quality display.

So my next con for this phone is that it has no dust or water resistance, dust and water resistance is more of a thing that you typically see with flagship phones and higher end phones, but this is a 5g phone and at this point in time those really aren't so commonplace that you'll just see any low-end phone with 5g capability. So being that it is one of those phones that has more features than the average phone, it has a faster processor, better camera features and lots of other things. That really would put it above the average budget smartphone. So it would have been really nice if it had some sort of dust or water resistance to go along with that, because, while I'd be careful with any phone, no matter what it would be nice to know that a phone that is this nice does have some extra protection as well now. Another pro for this phone is the storage.

This is definitely on the high end. As far as storage goes, this phone is getting 128 gigabytes of internal storage with micros card expansion. So this is really a lot. Apps are getting larger and larger these days, and nowadays, the system is also huge. I think it takes up around 14 gigabytes.

So actually I was wrong. It takes up more than 14 gigabytes. You can see here. The system actually takes up 17.92 gigabytes of storage. So imagine if this phone was one of those smaller storage phones that a lot of phones in this type of range do have some of them have as little as 32 gigabytes.

Imagine having that big of a system on a 32 gigabyte phone you're going to have no space for anything. The apps are going to be questionable, not to mention photos and videos, and all of that, so it's really important nowadays to have as much storage as possible. My limit personally is 64 gigabytes. That's my threshold to where I can think. Okay.

This is decent, maybe not great, but decent, but this phone has double that so with 128 gigabytes of internal storage and micro SD card expansion, unless you have insane amounts of super large apps or lots of photos and videos, you're pretty unlikely to actually run out of space, and even if you do, you can use the micro SD card, so you can increase the storage just a little more so overall, the storage is definitely really impressive on this phone now. My next con for this phone is that it has no wireless charging. Now again, this is a feature that you typically see with flagship phones in some rare occasions. Other phones that aren't flagship phones do have it, but it's typically a flagship feature, but at the same time again this is a 5g phone that has a lot of features that you would expect on a higher end phone. So I would really like to see wireless charging on this phone.

I do think it's a pretty nice technology to have, and it's a feature that I think in this day and age- phones that aren't flagship phones should have as well now. My final pro for this phone is its fingerprint scanner. Now this fingerprint scanner isn't just any old fingerprint scanner. It's in probably the best possible spot here on the power button. I don't think you can go wrong with this location for a fingerprint scanner when you're going to unlock your phone, even if you're using face unlock or a pin or whatever it may be, you're going to press the power button most likely.

Some phones even require you to press the power button. They won't wake up from you just tapping on the screen now this phone, I believe it does so. No it doesn't. So you have to press the power button in order to wake up the screen anyway. So when you do that having the phone just automatically unlock is so nice, it's really convenient.

It's not going to accidentally unlock in your pocket or do anything weird like that. But when you do want to unlock it, it will unlock, and I think that's great now. My final con for this phone is the materials when a phone is a 5g phone, whether it's a super high-end 5g phone or a really low-end 5g phone, the materials are a little more premium than their 4g equivalents, but this phone does not have very premium materials, it is made of all plastic, and it has a super light weight to it, which I guess could be considered a good thing, but at the same time it just doesn't feel nice. It doesn't feel premium. It really doesn't feel like a 5g phone.

Now, don't get me wrong. I do believe it is really sturdy, and it doesn't feel like it would break easily, but at the same time it doesn't have that 5g phone feel. It really does feel like it's made of cheap plastic, which it is so that is a disappointment. I would have liked to see some nicer material, maybe a little metal on the sides or some glass on the back or the screen. I think that would have made it a lot better, but unfortunately it does go along with the mediocre display, thick bezels and the ugly notch for the front-facing camera.

Furthermore, I do think that design-wise they definitely could have done a lot better, but this is pros and cons for the Samsung Galaxy a32 5g. Furthermore, I hope you guys enjoyed the video if you did definitely leave a thumbs up and subscribe and again for more information about the device, whether it's pricing, availability or just general information about the phone itself definitely check the link in the description, but as always I'll see you guys in the next video.
