realme 8 Pro Unboxing & First Impressions | 108MP CAMERA?

What's going on guys today, I've got my first video in quite a while. I mean it's been a bit of a while, because we've changed buildings and obviously covered with everyone working from home. It's been a bit difficult to record an actual video, and we didn't want to just try and quickly get one out. We know rather quality videos and bring a new. You know introduction to what we usually do on this channel, so we didn't want to stray too far away and do something completely different. So we thought let's wait until we're in the new setup, which is what we're in here we'll have a video coming very soon about what this new setup looks like it's not completely done, yet it's still a bit bare bones, but hopefully not too soon, we'll have it completely done in here yeah.

On that note, if you hear any noises, the sound quality isn't perfect. That's because we haven't completely finished our brand-new studio just yet. So that's something to look forward to and stay tuned. Hopefully our video quality will get even better than what it was previously but yeah. I know it's been a while, but we have another good video here for you today guys we have the all-new realm 8 pro now we might be a little late to the party in terms of reviews and unboxing, but this phone actually fully releases and should you know, arrive to your house if you've pre-ordered one tomorrow so from when this video is recorded so yeah I mean, obviously it's a real phone.

It's going to blow you away, it's going to be great, so we'll just jump straight into a couple of specs on the back of the box. Here you have a couple of breakdowns about some key specs of the realm 8 pro, so it's got 108 megapixel ultra quad camera. This is something Realme is dubbing the best rear-facing camera on a smartphone now 108 megapixels is you know a camera megapixel quality that we've seen thrown around with a couple of different manufacturers, but Realme have delivered it on their eight pro. When you consider the price point that this phone is at, it's pretty incredible now a couple of the other specs it has in the box a 50 watt super dart charge. Now this is something I found a little confusing, but the phone can charge at 50 watts, dark charge, so super super super quickly, but the actual charger inside the box, with the roomy 8 pro specifically this 8 128 gigabyte versions that we have here been a 65 watt charger, so that capability is actually slightly higher than what they're actually saying on the box here now.

Obviously, there are limitations within the battery just keep it preserved, but the actual charger you get in that isn't a 50 watt. It's a 65 watt, which is your know a pretty nice bonus. I think now. Some other things listed on the back here is a 6.4 super AMOLED full screen, so you're going to get those great crisp, colors and 6.4 inches is more than enough for a smartphone. I think in fact I think, that's around the best size for a smartphone that you can really have perfectly fits in your hand and perfect.

Do you use without any sort of awkward comfortableness you get with some larger size phone? Then we move on to the processor inside this Realme 8 pro, which is the incredible infamous snapdragon 720 g processor. Now I know one of the questions you guys are going to be. Having is that processor, the chipsets that you have is this phone 5g. Unfortunately, that is one of the drawbacks of the 8 pro is. It does not have 5g functionality within it.4G is still the primary LTE bands that are used currently, even now. I still don't think in the UK, specifically we're going to have 5g coverage all over the UK for quite a while.

So 4g will work perfectly fine just now, but we've heard rumors of some 5g variants coming out, and I think there is something going on in India specifically for a 5g variant of this phone, but obviously nothing's confirmed just yet, and this phone is currently 4g. Only the battery size of this is obviously reflective of another button here, which says super slim and light. You would think that it's going to have a tiny battery in order to keep that thinness and those tiny dimensions, but you would be incorrect. The battery is 4500 my and that is dubbed the massive battery. Now that is a humongous battery for a smartphone.

I know we see five thousand nowadays a hundred mile batteries, but four and a half thousand is going to last you basically forever and combined with that 50 watt super dart charge. Charging time is not going to be a worry for you, and battery is basically you're, never going to think about it again. So I'm going to go ahead and open this up now. Obviously, you've all seen it before this yellow Realme box. It's got that eight pro on the front there, and you've got all your information as you go around.

This was obviously what I was referring to on the back, and you have this android with easy access to the Google apps you use the most. Now, I'm not saying that's a dig at some of the manufacturers that don't have access to google, but I do think it's kind of a little funny. That's on there now, anyway, let's open this up, and we can have a better look at the phone inside as always signature, yellow everywhere and if you're new, to real me. This is the phrase that everyone knows and loves the most hey welcome to the realm family. Now there is a little different here that I noticed I mean unboxed, a fair amount of roomy phones.

It has this little pool tab here, and I think you know fantastic now. At times, I've put my thumb trying to catch underneath here. This is a nice addition here to more of a luxury size of an unboxing of real meat, and it has this little booklet style thing that is new as well, that you didn't use to get inside. That you've got your case, obviously, which comes with the quick start, stop guide and all your warranty information if you ever need it, so we'll pop this to the side for now here's the phone itself. Now I just want to continue through some other box contents quickly before I get to the phone, so I'll put that to the side for a little as well.

Continuing through the box, you have that 65 watt super dart charger that I was talking about earlier. You can see on the bottom here that it is actually a 6.5 amp max 65 watt mat charger. As I said, this phone is not able to get to that level and that's just for battery preservation. You would basically burn through that battery and destroy it. If you were to use this constantly on a faster battery, so it's not to say slow charging.

I mean you're still getting over 50 in under 20 minutes with this 50 watt supercharge charge, but it does also come with this 65 watt charger. So if you had other devices that took a 65 watt, you could just you know plug it into the back of this and use this as well. So I think it's a good nice little addition there as well and then obviously finally, you've got your USB type-c cable and that's just generic with most smartphones. Nowadays, you get an USB type-c. That's all you're, boring and box contents over and done with now.

Going to move on to the actual phone itself. Now, a few things to note, while I'm going around the outside of this phone and opening it up, this is the infinite black colorway, and we have got the eight plus 128 gigabyte variant. This is also a dual sim variant as something people look for nowadays in smartphones, just easier to switch through both those numbers, both their sim cards. Here's the device itself, you can see on the back there if I try and catch it well, with the light you can see, it says quite bold and quite clear dare to leap now. That is the Realme catchphrase.

If you're a seasoned veteran at roomy devices, you'll know that phrase all too well, as we all do here. Another thing to note is the clear, obvious, quad camera. Now this is a huge camera on this device. Obviously, 108 megapixels absolutely massive you're going to get some absolute fracking photos, and that is something that we will do and explore in the next video we'll do some photography for you, so you can see how this camera actually performs in some real life scenarios and obviously, as always, you can view that video, that's our one-week later review on our second channel and that'll, be linked in the description for you, so just click there, and you'll see how one week later, if it's already uploaded, if not it's one week from today, we'll hopefully have the more in-depth review out for you talking about the rear camera, I'm just gonna break down what each camera module actually does in the actual megapixel of each camera, so you've got 108 megapixel main focal camera. Absolutely that is the key selling point of this phone.

You've got that massive 108 megapixel camera for those great quality photos. Then you've got eight megapixel camera there as well, and two megapixel cameras, so getting all around great photos, but obviously the key feature of the camera is that 108 megapixel camera speaking about cameras. There is a soul, poke hole camera in the top left of the display on the real m8 pro, and that is a 16 megapixel selfie camera, so not a bad camera, pretty good. In my opinion, as we've seen in the past with real me, selfie cameras, the 16 megapixel camera performs very, very well, and I think in all sorts of light scenarios and other scenarios, the 60 megapixel realm camera always performs fairly well, in my opinion, on the bottom of the device here, I'm not sure if you'd be able to see it too well, but you have an USB type c port here. Obviously your speaker module and a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. Now who would think that a headphone jack would be so controversial? A lot of people in the smartphone community are always worried about whether they're going to have a headphone jack now you're, not to worry if you're, one of those audio pioneers, because you have a 3.5 inch headphone jack on this device here. So don't worry at all.

You can still use that there on the subject of speakers along the top. Here you have your sound bar for all your audio calls and then a more surround sound experience. If you're watching movies on the left side of the device, you've got your sim card tray and on the right side, you've got your volume knockers, and your on off sleep switch one thing: you would note with this phone if you had it in your hand, is how incredibly thin it is now this camera really doesn't do it that much justice. But that is incredible. That's thinner than my finger.

It's an insanely thin light phone without sacrificing quality, because what you see with a lot of smartphones, especially in the competitive, lower end of smartphones. Now this is more of a middle range phone, but specifically in the lower end one is you get thin smartphones as they're trying to push down the size, but you do sacrifice quality. You end up with a phone that rattles or a phone that just doesn't feel right with the weight distribution, but this phone feels perfectly fine, perfectly great perfectly balanced in my hand, and the quality is there, it doesn't rattle, it feels solid and overall, it looks and feels like a very, very premium phone on that premium notice. You have all the high-end specs, but the price tag is so low. I mean you have a 279 pound price tag currently on this rookie e8 pro, but you have the specs of a phone.

That's pushing a thousand pounds, a thousand dollars insane value for money. In my opinion, just on the outside. Looking at the specs, I think you're going to have a great phone here. Thank you guys for watching. Obviously, if you want to see a more in-depth breakdown, this was more of a spec insight and my first impressions of the device.

If you want to see a more in-depth breakdown and if my opinion, changes or molds, please make sure to check out our one-week later. Video and that'll be linked in the description below. Thank you guys for watching, and I hope to see you in the next video uh.
