Realme 7 Pro Unboxing: Priced at Rs. 19,999, Is This an Important Upgrade From Realme?

Hey guys welcome to gadget360, and today we'll be unboxing a brand-new phone from real me. It is the realm 7 pro, so, let's quickly take a look at what you get in the box and also first look at realm's brand-new smartphone. Now before we go ahead, don't forget to subscribe to our channel if you haven't and also hit the bell icon, so you're the first to know whenever we push out a new video now the Realme 7 pro comes in a similar packaging as the Realme seven at the back. We have a few highlight features of the phone that's mentioned, including support for the 65 watt fast charging. Now, let's quickly open the seal and see what we get inside now we have a little paper sleeve here, which has the instruction leaflets and a case. Next up is the Realme 7 pro itself now this is the mirror blue color that I have let's place it aside and see what else is there? This is the super dart fast charger and, as you can see, it has an output of 65 watts.

Next is the USB cable and finally, it's the sim eject tool, and that seems to be pretty much it okay. So now, let's take a look at the realm 7 pro, as you can see, I've gone ahead and set it up and installed a bunch of basic apps and uh. First, before we get into uh some features and stuff, let's take a look at uh what the phone has to offer on the outside. So over the right. We have a typical placement of the power button.

We have the volume buttons on the left uh down at the bottom. As you can see, we have the 3.5 millimeter, headphone jack, USB port and the speaker there's also a sim tray over here. This can accommodate two NATO sims and a micro SD card all at once, which is cool, and we'll take a quick look at the finish. So this is something that a Realme calls a mirror, a finish or a mirror: blue color at least, and it's pretty nice, it's similar to what we saw on the real me. Seven except this is a darker.

Almost navy blue shade- and it's got that similar split design down the side, and it creates these uh funky patterns when light hits it which looks pretty cool uh. The camera module is also very similar to the Realme seven uh. In the sense there are four cameras but uh, and I think the sensors are also pretty similar as well, but we'll take a closer look at that in just a bit, but one thing that's new uh is compared to let's say the real me. Six pro is that the 7 pro is now actually a bit slimmer and lighter, so 7 pro weighs around 182 grams. So it's a tiny bit lighter, and it's slimmer as well at around 8.7 millimeters, so which is nice, and this is something that is kind of noticeable, especially if you have the six pro and the seven pro side by side, you will notice that slight uh difference in the weight and thickness of the phone uh, but a big addition. I think that realm has made a two big couple of big additions, and one of them definitely is a stereo speaker.

So finally, the Realme 7 pro or at least our real new phone in this price range, finally gets stereo speakers, so you have the bottom firing one, and you have the one on the top as well. The earpiece also doubles up as a speaker and not only that if you go into the settings uh, these speakers also support Dolby Atmos announcement. So here you can see. Dolby Atmos is active. Currently, for the two speakers.

You can select a bunch of different modes, similar to what we've seen on higher end realm phones, which is really cool to have now. The second big change, of course, compared to the realm pro, is the display itself. It's not the size, it's still a relatively large display. This is a 6.4 inch panel, but instead of an AMOLED, I'm sorry, instead of an lcd, realm has switched to a super AMOLED panel, which is really nice to see so uh. The bezels are fairly slim.

There is a bit of a chin, but it's not that much of a bother, and we have a hole punch cut out in the display. However, if you remember, the six pro had dual selfie cameras and the 7 has just a single one, but again we will get to the cameras in just a bit. Now. Speaking of the display, the AMOLED display is obviously uh. Pretty nice, the colors are punchy.

Uh brightness gets perfect as well, really high as well, which is all good to see, however, uh, because it's an AMOLED panel and realm wanted to hit a particular price budget uh. It does not have a high refresh rate screen, so this is a full HD plus display uh. So everything is sharp. However, it's only running at 60 hertz at not 90 hertz, or you know, 120 hertz, so that is a bit of a bummer. So another little thing that's missing is of course there is no HDR support.

Sadly, now, if you open the Netflix app and go into app settings- and we have playback specifications and over here, you can see that it does not have any HDR capability again, not a huge dealbreaker in my opinion, but again it's something that would have been nice to have. So let's now switch gears and talk about uh, the processor. That's powering the phone over here uh there's, not a lot of change. In fact, it's identical uh, this realm 7 pro is still running on the snapdragon 720 g, which don't get me wrong, is still a good chip. I don't have any major complaints, but it's just something that, if you're expecting a performance upgrade as well from the 6 pro to the 7 pro, that's not going to happen so performance wise.

I think we should expect a very similar result to what we got from the Realme 6 pro now. The 7 pro is going to be available in two variants: you're going to have a 6 GB of ram and 128 GB of storage and there's also going to be a second variant which will have 8 GB of ram and 128 GB of storage, and, as you can see, the one that I have here been the higher end variant now in terms of software. Of course, this is Realme UI, which is running on top of android 10. So again a similar set of features. You know your game space.

You have Realme lab where you have some experimental features and stuff like that, so again, very similar they're not much to talk about on the software front. At least now we come to the cameras which have gotten uh some big changes. So, first, uh we, let's just start with the front here we have a single selfie camera instead of the dual hole punch cutout, which we had on the six pro now. This one is a 32 megapixel sensor uh, so you should be able to get some good, highly detailed selfies. But again I will be putting that to the test to really see how well it performs and a quick look at the back.

The sensors have also changed when you compare it to the real me. Six pro so gone is the telephoto camera, which is there on the six pro, and instead we have a very similar setup to the Realme seven. So here also the primary camera is still a 64 megapixel sensor, but realm has switched it from the Samsung gw1 to the Sony, mix 682 sensor uh. Then we also have an 8 megapixel ultra-wide. There is a 2 megapixel macro camera and there's a finally a 2 megapixel depth camera and of course, you have the LED flash so again, um a little I'm a little bummed out that we don't have the telephoto camera since, given this is the pro model, however, realm has added a few new features in the camera app so uh.

If you open the camera app and go to video first, you'll see there is a new ultra night mode. Now this should give you brighter footage, I'm guessing when you're recording in low light. So that's something that I will be testing and even if you look at the night mode now, some features are similar to what we saw on the Realme x3 super zoom. You have your tripod mode. You have your starry mode, uh! Furthermore, you have pro mode for night as well, but you also get a bunch of new filters this time and these are modern gold, cyberpunk flamingos.

So again, these are some new color filters that you can use in night mode again. Similar looking filters are similar named similarly named filters to what we recently also saw on. Vivas phones, like the x50 series, so again interesting stuff definitely will be checking that out uh when I'll be doing the full review as well. Now, a couple of other things that I want to go over before we wrap up this first look: video uh, you do get an in-display fingerprint sensor, because this is an AMOLED display. So, as you can see, there is an always-on display, as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor, which seems to work decently.

Well, um. You also get a 4500mah battery in the 7 pro, which, according to real me, should be able. You should be able to charge it from zero to full in about 34 minutes. Thanks to that massive 65 watt charger again, another feature that I will be testing out to see. If that claim is true or not, so that's it for a quick unboxing and a first look at the realm 7 pro stay tuned for the full review coming soon, and as always for all things, tech log on to gadget360.
