REALME 7 5G: O CELULAR com 5G MAIS BARATO no Brasil é também a MELHOR COMPRA? | Análise / Review

Subtitled by Paulo Montenegro - @pmontenegroreal (Twitter) TudoCelular has already analyzed the realme 7, a great phone that delivers good performance coupled with good battery and cameras that capture beautiful photos - now we have the 5G version in hand, which brings a faster processor but it comes with a lower resolution camera. Is it a fair exchange? However, you can check the cell phone with all the details of the Realme 7 5G, the cheapest 5G cell phone in Brazil. The two versions of the really seven are almost identical - from the front we have a notched hole in the left corner while at the rear there is a wider camera block in the 5G model. Even the chromatic pattern of the painting and the name of the line stamped on the back remain the same on both. Although more expensive, the 5G model does not have a more refined body - it is also made of plastic at the rear and sides. The build quality is good for the premium-intermediate segment, despite being slippery due to the smooth finish.

Both versions of Realme 7 have the same screen size but the 5G model manages to be a little more compact due to the thinner edges. This contributes to greater ergonomics and the curves at the rear also help to make it comfortable to use with one hand. The biometric reader is located on the right side, integrated with the power button. it responds quickly and rarely fails. On the left side we have the volume control keys and the SIM card tray, which in this version is hybrid and does not allow using two SIM cards and extending storage at the same time.

In terms of connectivity, we only have the 5G present in this model, while Wi-Fi 5 GHz and NFC are present in both versions. You may even find that the two realme 7 models have the same 6.5" IPS LCD screen and full HD Plus resolution, but there is a crucial difference between the two: the realme 7 5G comes with a 120 Hz panel while the other has 90 Hz screen. The realme 7 5G screen has decent brightness for good visibility in bright places, but not enough to compensate for excess light on sunny days. The contrast level is enough to guarantee good colors without exaggeration, but when the maximum brightness tends to make black very gray. One point that we complained about in realme 7 4G was the absence of stereo sound present in realme 7 pro.

This is the same case of the 5G version that only has a sound output at the bottom. to make matters worse, the speaker chosen by the manufacturer has weaker power and worse calibration that comes to distort the average when the volume is at maximum. the 5G model comes equipped with chipset Dimensity 800U of Mediatek 8 GB of RAM, a configuration powerful to guarantee r good experience with any application or game for Android. Despite the faster processor we did not see a gain in our speed test and the realme 7 5G practically tied in multitasking compared to the 4G model. In benchmarks is that we feel the gain of a more powerful processor and the realme 7 5G achieves higher numbers; in AnTuTu we have a difference of 10%, which guarantees more than 300 thousand points.

In games there is nothing to complain about - if the other realme already did well when running games with good fluidity, this one also takes away the lyrics; all the games that we are running were smooth, of course not at maximum quality but as the realme 7 5G is not a gamer phone itself, you cannot complain about it. The 120 Hz screen helps to go beyond 60 fps in some games but few titles take advantage of that. The really 7 5G comes with the same battery as the 4G model but the Dimensity 800U chip is more energy efficient compared to the older Helio G95 - the result of which is that the battery yields much more, giving a difference of 20% in our standardized test of autonomy. This means that those with a more moderate usage pattern will be able to use the realme 7 5G for two whole days without having to worry about looking for an outlet and even those who play hard to take advantage of the 120 Hz screen and the powerful hardware will have a hard time zeroing the battery in just one day. Another good news is that the 30-watt charger makes the battery and 0 to 100% in just over an hour while rivals Motorola and Samsung still take almost twice as long to recharge.

Xiaomi is one of the few who care about chargers and we already have intermediaries from the company recharging in less than an hour. The realme 7 5G comes out of the box with Android 10 interface realme UI. The appearance is pleasant and with few modifications. It is possible to change the icons and darken the interface with the dark theme, just don't expect to see any battery gain as the screen is not AMOLED like the one in the Realme 7 Pro, however, there is an option in the battery settings that reduces consumption energy during the night. Realme's software is full of shortcuts and there is a side menu similar to Samsung's EDGE screen.

There is also a bubble that features a floating menu and resembles the Galaxy Note line's S-Pen access menu. Here you can configure shortcuts like locking the screen or taking a quick screenshot. There is a dedicated interface for games and many extras that enhance usability and without weighing in performance, which is an important feat that deserved to be followed by other brands. The only complaint we have to make about realme is that it is not one of the most agile in Android updates. The realme 7 5G comes with the standard camera set for today.

It has a main sensor of 48 MP with a camera with ultrawide lens, one dedicated for macro photos and another for background blur. The main camera records good pictures in any kind of scenery but it could have a more efficient HDR. At the end of the afternoon and we lose details in the shadows and the photos tend to appear darker than they should at least the realme 7 5G does not suffer to shoot at night and records photos with good sharpness and contrast but loses some details in darker spots in the attempt to eliminate noise. You can activate the night mode which really improves the general appearance of the photos but it is not quite as efficient in the ultrawide camera, in fact, the wider camera is only useful in the day since the night photos come out very dark. Don't expect too much from the macro camera - the sensor is of low resolution and the focal length is not the best, which ends up resulting in pictures with low sharpness.

The blurring one has few flaws in the cutout, staying within what the rivals deliver. The front is the same as the realme 7 4G and here it also records good selfies, be it day or night. The photos have good colors and contrasts although there are not many details of the skin. A curious part is that when using portrait mode the resolution is not reduced to 4 MP as with the other model and with that we will have better results in selfies with background blur. The main camera is capable of recording videos in 4K while ultrawide is limited to full HD resolution.

The audio capture is stereo and has good quality, while the footage has a good level of detail but suffers a lot in dark places - at least, there is not the reddish tone problem that we saw on the realme 7 4G camcorder. The realme 7 5G is a good phone for those looking for 5G connectivity for a small fee, but how does it do against some rivals? You can find the Mi 10T Lite in national retail, which ends up being a little more expensive but delivers better cameras. On the other hand, it is slower in multitasking and its battery lasts less. Want a more agile and better phone for games? The Moto G100 is not so much more expensive than the realme and its battery lasts almost as well but ends up taking longer to recharge. Motorola's has extra desktop mode but the cameras are more limited.

The realme 7 5G is more than just a 5G version of the traditional realme 7. Here you have a faster screen for greater fluidity and a battery that lasts much longer. Despite the indoor camera, the difference in the quality of the photos is not considerable and we don't have the problem of a reddish tone on the camcorder. For those who are already looking for a 5G phone and are not willing to pay dearly on a cell phone, the realme 7 5G is one of the best options today - it has a good set and software full of features, all we really need is to speed up Android updates to make its the even better middleman.
