Razer Phone 2 Review! Is it still worth it in 2020?

Hi everyone back with another video, so today I'm doing a little of a review. This is my razor phone ?, so the specs of this phone is it has a 120 Hertz display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, dual cameras with image, stabilization on the back wireless fast charging, ip67 water resistance and a four thousand William hour battery. So many people might not know what the razor phone is, but it's a product made by Racer, it's the second phone that they have made. So this phone has been my daily driver for about 6 months now, so I'm, just gonna talk a little about what I like about the phone and what is not so great, alright, so the things that I love about this phone. So this phone is perfect at media content and listening to Netflix or YouTube or any type of videos. So if I go to YouTube right now, and I pull up one of my videos, so it's got perfect speakers.

The speakers are dual firing. There's one speaker at the top and there's one speaker at the bottom, so this phone does have all their technology. In it, but it still does most of the things that a flagship would do today, also fun fact: this phone also does not have a headphone jack, just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 10th, so that automatically makes this a flagship smartphone. So a couple of things that are not so great about this phone is battery life, so I find it hard to get through a whole day with the battery on this phone, even though it's so big. So it says that it'll last till about 9:00 p.

m. and it's about 12 o'clock right now, but it'll, probably last till maybe 3 4 o'clock, if I use it so until 9:00 p. m. is, if I don't use the phone, and it's just sitting in standby mode. So I've noticed that the battery is a little weaker.

I am running a 120 Hertz just because it is so much smoother when you're going through different, apps and I know, you can't see it as well on the video, but you can see that it's a very smooth, silky response. So if playing games on this is what you're looking to do with the razor phone, it is also very good at that I noticed it doesn't get hard if I play rise of Civilizations balloons or any other games. So the load time is pretty good for any game because of the 8 gigs of ram that it has within it. So just going throughout the games, you can see it's very, very smooth. There's not much like the Wi-Fi calling activity.

I find is very, very good on this phone, it's one of the best phones for Wi-Fi, cognitive 'ti that I've ever had the camera. So even though this is a gaming phone, the camera is pretty good on this phone. Only a couple of things that I noticed is, if you zoom in sometimes, and you're, using the telephoto lens. Sometimes the camera will not zoom back out, but it seems to have been fixed over software update. So some people might ask what is so popular about the razor phone and is it still worth it to buy this phone for $1000 I would say it's still worth it.

It's worth it if it's on sale, because sometimes razor has the phone on sale for about five hundred dollars on their website, so you're not getting the most top-of-the-line Snapdragon CPU, but it is a fairly recently updated CPU, and it's better than most budget smartphones. So if you're getting this phone on sale, you're, actually getting a better phone that you would have if you got a cheaper phone like a Samsung Galaxy a Series, this phone does have a boxy square design to it, and you can see that it's very, very square, but that's one of the things I like about it. So many phones are starting to become very bezel as', but this phone has two grips where you can actually hold the phone and hold on to it, while you're playing a game or, if you're, watching a video. It just gives you a nice spot to put your thumb. So the screen is still pretty.

Bezel is from the top to the bottom, when it's sideways, but the bezels on the edges just give you a little spot to rest your hand, kind of like a switch or a PSP go overall with about six months of use using this telephone I think it is a great daily driver, and I'm going to continue to use this cell phone as a daily driver for as long as it lasts, and I hope that Racer will come up with the razor phone three eventually, but this phone is actually very, very good. It does have a fingerprint sensor on the side, USB type-c connection on the bottom, with fast charging and the charging is actually very fast with it. One thing about the phone that some people might not like is that fingerprints do get really caught on it, and you can see this is just for taking off my case for just a few minutes here. So the case that I've been using with this phone is the speed razor phone two case, and it's a perfect case. I, like if it's not too thick and it kind of keeps the aesthetic of the phone without interfering too much, so I'll just put it in there.

So you can see what it looks like when it's installed. So this is what the razor phone to looks like with the Sabine case installed. It's actually a perfect design. It does show you the RGB logo, and it does light up. So that way you can still see if you have a notification.

If the phone is laying flat on the table, I've seen a couple other videos on YouTube, saying that the screen is not bright enough with indirect sunlight, but I haven't had any issues with this, even using it outside all summer long I'm from Canada. So it's not too hot here, but the screen performs well III think that they really fixed the screen on the second phone. I did have the razor phone one for a little, but the razor phone too they've really stepped up their game, and it's waterproof. It has everything that you could ever want in a phone, but in a boxy, Android style design. So if you don't like Android, you probably won't like this phone, because it's very much like a Google phone, because it's very plain, simple Android.

But if you do like Android phones, and you don't want to buy a pixel, this I would say is probably your next best option because it's not modified like Samsung phones to have Samsung software you're using all the regular Google software that comes on the Google devices. So with this phone the Edition they have is Android, 9 I. Believe yes, Android 9, so they have the newest PI update, and they do push out updates for this phone once in a while. So the last one was in February, but I'll get one it probably around September, October and I haven't had any issues. The speed of the phone has stayed the same since I started using it which I really like.

Sometimes it needs a little of a restart, but after that, it's good to go so overall. My viewpoint on the razor phone is that it's a perfect phone and that I think Racer is doing something very special with their gaming phone idea. A couple other phones have tried to do it. Do it the past and are trying to do it now, but I think razor had the best gaming phone per se out of the different phones. So my overall opinion of this is that it's a great phone, and it's not only made for gaming, but it's also made for regular productivity tasks like day-to-day use.

Ok, thanks for watching hope this video helped you like and subscribe.
