POCO M3 Unboxing & Review - Best Budget Phone?

What's happening everyone, my name is Alex and welcome. Back in today's video, we are checking out the latest budget-friendly device from Poco called the Poco m3. So this is a phone, that's powered by the snapdragon 662, that's paired with four gigs of ram and 64 or gigs of internal storage, depending on what the version you buy. I personally have the version: 128 gigs of internal storage, that internal storage can also be expanded them with a SSD card, so the device can take two sim cards and a SD card. At the same time, the sim card slot is located on the left hand, side of the device, and I know that a lot of people do like seeing the benchmark scores for these devices and this device gets an an tutu benchmark score of just over 180 000, all right. So, starting with a super quick unboxing, the device comes in a decent looking box, a box similar that we've seen in the past from other Poco devices and inside the box, you're, obviously going to find the device itself.

We have a fast charger for it. We have the USB ck balloon. Furthermore, we have the user manuals and a clear case, and that's always nice to have because it's a bit difficult finding cases for these devices. The phone itself is mostly made out of plastic, but it doesn't look or feel bad by any means. So the frame here is plastic.

The back is also made out of plastic, and the back also has this texture on it, almost like a rubberized texture. So whenever you're holding the phone like this, it's not going to slip. Out of your hand on the back that we also have three cameras. We have the main camera. We have a macro lens and another camera used for portrait mode pictures.

Furthermore, we have the massive Poco logo and looking at the top of the device there, we have a hole for the microphone. Furthermore, we also have a 3.5 mil audio jack. So if you want to connect some headphones to it, you can. We also have the IR blaster, so this device can be used as a remote control for your TV, for example, and then we have the holes for the speaker, so you have a speaker at the top and a speaker at the bottom. That's very important, because this will get better sound and this is a quick example.

So you can hear how those speakers sound going back to our device at the bottom. Here we have another hole for the microphone. We have the USB charging port and the holes for the second speaker that I mentioned earlier. On the right hand, side we have the volume keys and the power button. The power button is also a fingerprint scanner.

So every time you unlock the phone, you basically touch the fingerprint scanner and the phone will unlock. It takes less than a second for the screen to unlock. Once you touch that fingerprint scanner, so I'd say, the fingerprint scanner does work, pretty good moving to the front of the device. Here we have a 6.53 inches IPS panel. That has a 1080p resolution.

We get great vibrant colors. We have perfect viewing angles, but I wish the screen of got just a tiny bit brighter, because if you go outside in direct sunlight, it is a bit difficult seeing the screen. The screen is also covered by gorilla glass 3, so that should protect it against scratches. As I mentioned earlier, this device supports fast charging as well, but inside it, we have a massive 6000 William hour battery, so you're. Definitely not going to have to charge this phone very often, so you can easily get 10 hours of screen on time.

So it really depends on what you do with the phone, but you can probably push it more than 15, depending on how you use it, how the screen on brightness is, and so on so great battery life from this device, but that was to be expected because we have that power efficient, snapdragon CPU and that massive battery. So if you want the phone that you don't have to charge daily, this is definitely one that you should consider. As for the cameras on this device, they are decent. If you take into consideration the price of the device, because you always have to take that into consideration when talking about cameras on a device now, if you have plenty of light, the pictures do look. Okay, I actually did a camera comparison between this and the Xiaomi mi 10 tea light, and I've included a bunch of pictures and sample videos in that camera comparison, and I will leave a link to that in the video's description or the top right corner.

So, if you want to see more pictures, more videos definitely check out um that camera comparison. The only downside that I found with this device and the cameras are the fact that whenever you're recording videos, there is no IMF stabilization or there seems to be no IMF stabilization. Hopefully that can be added in a software update in the future, but as of now on the 1080p at 30 frames per second recordings that I've done with it didn't have any image stabilization and once again check out that camera comparison. If you want to see more um sample pictures performance wise, this runs mini, 12, that's based on android 10 and once again for the price of the device. I feel that it performs perfect.

You can play some games on it. You can um use it for social media apps like Facebook, Instagram, chrome, etc. , etc. So for the price, I feel that it does really, really good, but once again, if you want something faster, if you need to game a lot on your device non-stop, you may want to spend a bit more money and get something with a faster CPU, but once again for the price, I feel that it does decent enough. One thing worth mentioning is the fact that there is no NFC chip inside this device, so you're not going to be able to make payments with it.

I did try up the GPS unit inside, and it only takes like a couple of seconds to find your location. It doesn't seem to lose it once it's found. So, of course using any application like Google Maps or Waze works great, and we also have a bunch of sensors available. So there you have it. This is the Poco m3 another budget friendly device from Xiaomi.

Hopefully you guys enjoyed this video. If you did like it, don't forget to press that, like button, don't forget to subscribe, and I will see you guys in the next one thanks for watching.
