Hi guys it's Frankie from Frankie tech good to see you guys again and here's my unboxing and review of the Poco m3 pro now this phone is being touted as more speed, more everything, and it's coming to the poker event on May 19th. Is this the best low-cost 5g phone on the market? Let's have a look, so let's go down the laundry list, design, display performance, quick, audio test, sharing my camera samples, but before we get started, let's have a look at the unboxing talking about design at 8.9, millimeters 190 grams. This one is in line with what we've seen from another of previous Xiaomi releases, and now, let's address the elephant in the room. Here. Is this the Redmi Note 10 5g? We do have a map pack on the note 10 5g, while poker's elected for this kind of two-tone look, which I have to say is the one reason I appreciate the design of this phone, especially in that yellow color. It looks very striking, but when you really start looking at the camera modules, you will realize that this is a very similar phone with the same location for the speakers.
Ir blaster 3.5, millimeter, headphone, jack USB and the speakers and the side mounted fingerprint scanners and volume rockers as well. Now I do actually like this Redmi Note, 10 5gs matte back, but the Poco with this two-tone design does look pretty striking, and I know some of you won't like this larger Poco branding, but I do think it does fit. Overall with the aesthetics, I would have much preferred to have reviewed the yellow version of this phone, but all in all, I do appreciate at least that they've tried something different with this distinctive black section and is the one highlight of what is a pretty generic phone design and talking about display. We have a 6.5 inch, 90 hertz lcd on this Poco m3 pro now I would have loved to have seen 120 hertz, but at the very least you're getting 90 hertz with this Poco m3 pro, and I have noticed that the m3 pro's display is a little brighter than the Redmi Note 10 5gs, but one issue both of these phones have guys is that they're just a little washed out. The displays are not as vibrant on saturated mode, and you can barely notice when you go from auto to saturated it's, not my favorite display on a Poco device.
I think you get a far better display on the Poco x3 pro or even the Poco x3 NFC. But despite that, you have pretty small bezels top and bottom. The chin is manageable, and you see you have a slightly larger ring around the punch hole, but you still have a pretty decent immersive viewing experience on this Poco m3 pro and in DRM info there. You see it l1 security level, and that means it's a l1 party on Frankie tack and talking about performance. We have the same density 700, which is a 5g chipset, similar to the Redmi Note 105g.
But with one big difference and there you see it, six gigs of ram is what you get on this m3 pro, and I think that is a very good move here, and generally I've experienced less lag on this Pok?mon 3 pro versus the Redmi Note, 10 5g and gaming on this phone will be decent if you're playing at medium settings in games. Like dungeon impact or PUBG, but of course it's going to be more of a casual gaming device compared to a flagship phone and in terms of software, we see mini 12.0.5 and this phone should get mini 12.5 in the future. Now, what I'm more excited about, though, is seeing what Poco does with their UI and if we do start seeing Poco UI and as a new, more distinct design language from me UI. I think it will be a positive thing, but essentially right now, you're getting mini 12 with a few additional wallpapers and the Poco launcher and talking about battery, we have a 5000mah capacity on this Poco m3 pro with 18 watt fast charging and charging for me has taken pretty much two hours to complete. So it's not going to be a superfast charging experience on this phone, but overall the m3 pro is lasting me easily two days on a single charge and that's including using it on 5g networks as well, and we have a side mounted fingerprint scanner on this Poco m3 pro, and it's pretty fast, pretty responsive.
But I do think polo's gotten pretty good with these side mounted fingerprint scanners and this one is no different and the vibration motor guys it's all right, pretty standard in what you would consider good for a phone of this price point, and you'll have all the latest comms on this Poco m3 pro, including Bluetooth, 5.1 NFC and all the latest 5g bands, including LTE bands, 20 and 28 support. And of course one of the highlights is that 5g connection. As you can see in Hong Kong, I almost got 230 down, which is pretty impressive, but honestly guys. You know how I feel about 5g. If you're in a certain country where it's available, it definitely can lead to great improvements.
But I don't think it's a necessity still. But if you do value 5g, this photo m3 pro is delivering one of the lowest cost 5g options on the market, and here we go with the audio speaker test on the Poco m3 pro. We don't have dual speakers just single bottom firing, but we do have a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, which is good to see. Let's have a listen. What can I say in terms of audio? It's not going to wow you with sound, but right here.
Next to the Poco f3, the m3 pro did a solid job at least capturing a similar, sound and decibel level. Now, of course, the f3 has dual speakers, and it just has a more immersive sound, but I think for casual listening, you'll be all right with this Poco m3 pro and wrapping up with the cameras. We have a 48 megapixel main camera f 1.8 on this Poco m3 pro, and we have 2 megapixel macro and def sensors, which, let's face it guys. I wish, did not exist on this phone and if we had just gotten even an 8 megapixel ultrawide. That would have been a better choice in my opinion.
But you know, despite that, in good lighting, this Poco m3 pro should take some solid shots and, of course, at nighttime, you're going to get quite a bit more noise, but it offers still pretty respectable results for a phone at this price point, but go ahead and have a look at these samples both day and night, and hit me up in the comments. What do you think do so? This is rear-facing video on the Poco m3 pro shooting at around 6 p. m, in beautiful harbor, north section of Hong Kong looks pretty good, but you know at this time you're probably going to see a little of a little of shaking but hit me up in the comments. What do you think- and this is front-facing video on the Poco m3 pro and shooting in 1080p 30. , I'm just gonna, say guys? The cameras on this phone aren't very good.
They're. Okay, but you know, I think a big miss was not including the ultra-wide, but you know at least it's 1080p, just like every other Xiaomi phone on the front, but listen to the mics here, how they sound and hit me up in the comments. What do you think? But what about those an tutu scores? Well, let me share with you now my mini and to do thralling test of this Poco m3 pro we're going to go ahead and test it two times here on an tutu and see how it does overall in this test- and so here we go folks, I got Anthony and the CPU monitor opened up, ready to go and, of course, measuring the external temp with the thermometer. Let's get started. Alright there we go first score for the Poco m3 pro 324 000, pretty solid score overall and let's go and check the CPU monitor, 43 degrees, not too bad, and the external temp is 37.8. Let's go to test number two on this phone, so there we go test number two completed and finishing up with 321 000 this program, 3 pro and the density 700 have done a solid job in this mini an tutu, throttling test 41 and an external temp of 40.3. So considering how warm it is, this dimension 700, definitely runs cool.
Now, while I do think the demand c800 would have been the better choice for this phone. You can't deny this still a solid mid-range 5g chipset in this Poco m3 pro. So that's it for this video and my final verdict on this Poco m3 pro. Look, I'm not going to lie. This is not the most inspired and most exciting release that I've seen from Poco because, let's face it, they have gone to the well once again by doing another rebrand phone in this Poco m3 pro.
But despite that, there are a few things that I appreciate that they've done to try to differentiate it from this blackened area to the yellow, color variant, which is the one guys. I would recommend you pick up if you're trying to get this phone. So all in all guys, I think, what's going to make or break this phone is going to be the price and knowing Poco and how aggressive they are. I don't know what the price is going to be as of this recording, but if they are able to price this phone right, then it will be a great option for a lot of you to consider as a low-cost 5g phone here in 2021. I, for one still think there are other phones that are more inspired, like the Redmi Note, 10 pro or even the Redmi Note 10.
But if you are looking for that lowest cost 5g option, then this Poco m3 pro if the price is right, maybe just the one but hear me up in the comments. What are your thoughts on this Poco m3 pro and now that the event has been unveiled? Did they get the price right hit me up in the comments? I'd love to hear about it and that's it for this video.
