Pixel 5 vs Pixel 2XL - Short Screen and Photo Comparison

Hey there welcome to the channel. I've had a couple of guys on here asking for a more detailed screen comparison. So here it is. I did a full comparison video a couple of weeks ago, if you're interested in that. Like always, if the video helps you please consider dropping a like or subscribe, it helps me out a ton anyways, let's get started eh so right off the bat I noticed the pixel 5 screens definitely has a brighter max brightness than the 2xl. This won't be much of a difference indoors, but if you're outdoors it'll be a little easier to look at one of the huge selling points that gets hammered over and over again nowadays is the high refresh rate displays.

Although the pixel 5 doesn't have the highest refresh rate out there at 90 hertz, it's still more than the pixel 2 XL had at 60 hertz. If you're just using your phone like normal, the change is going to be very, very slight. All it's really going to do is get rid of the motion blur when you're swiping back and forth. At some point, your eyes can't really process the difference, and the majority of content like TV and movies are all filmed at 24 frames per. Second, the only exception would be video games, but that's only if your phone has the hardware to output the higher frame rates.

So to me, it's just not a big deal. I filmed this comparison, video at 60 frames per second just so you all can get a better feel for what it's like having the phone right in front of you. Here's some slo-mo to show the difference between the refresh rate, but I personally don't see life in slow motion eh, so uh. It's not really going to help me now. The pixel 2 had one glaring screen issue.

It would have a blue cast to it. If you weren't, looking straight on, I personally had to send three phones back before I got this one, which is still just okay. The pixel 5, on the other hand, doesn't have that same issue. You can view it from the side without any problems whatsoever. It's really wonderful.

The pixel 5 has an OLED display with HDR and the pixel 2 XL is PO led. This was one of the more surprising benefits it wasn't until I played the videos side by side that I realized just how good the image was on the pixel 5. , while the pixel 2 XL is good. The 5 just looks fantastic eh. I would definitely say that the screen on the pixel 5 is a nice upgrade from the 2xl, but it's not night and day change, and you do lose out on a little of screen space when watching content, which is a little annoying, but not too bad.

As for the cameras on these phones, they're both still absolutely fantastic, even though the hardware hasn't had a huge improvement, the phones handled themselves really well. The 5 definitely gives you more options because of the wide angle lens, but, as you can see, both phones produce really similar images with great colors and contrast when it comes to video and photos. I was curious to see if the 5 had any improvements when it came to autofocus, and it does in fact feel smoother, but the pixel 2 XL still has great autofocus. They really knocked it out of the park with their software. The pixel 5 also has some voodoo type image stabilization for video one of the best I've seen I genuinely don't understand how they get away with stuff.

Like that, it's crazy anyways. I know this is a short review, but if this review has helped you in any way, please drop a like or subscribe. It helps me with take. If not, I still hope you have a great day and take care. Singapore.
