YouTube, what's going on Kevin the tech, ninja and aunt my man's aunt or as your mother call you Anthony look man you didn't hit subscribe to my channel, yet I'm not sure why make sure you hit subscribe down below and tap on the bell notification to be notified when I make another video in today's video we're doing a speed test between the OnePlus 8t OnePlus 8 pro Galaxy Note, 20, ultra lg wing and pixel 5. These are the best phones that these manufacturers have to offer, and we're going to see how fast these phones are when completing basic tasks. The way it's going to work is pretty simple: going to launch a variety of applications. When I'm done with all the tests, I'm then going to go and check the ram to be sure that these phones weren't closing apps in the background to achieve these speeds, so we're going to make sure all the apps open back up from memory, anyways guys if you're ready, like I'm ready, hang on to your butts, we're doing a speed test. All right, we're going to start the speed test. Videos off with the Galaxy Note 20 ultra.
Let's take a look at the specs, it has a snapdragon 865 plus processor, which is the most current processor available, eight gigabytes of ram a 1440p display, and it is rocking android 11, with one UI skin. On top of it coming into the test, you can see, things are running really fast. As expected, a phone with this type of hardware should run pretty, pretty darn fast. Okay, we're closing in on the one-minute mark here, we're just launching this last game PUBG. So the overall time was one minute and three seconds with all these tests.
I run it again off camera to ensure that is a proper score, and it was I'm really impressed with the speeds of the note 20 ultra, but I do want to see what OnePlus will provide, even though it's a little slower chip, but there is more optimization with software, and also I feel that more ram would help this test. Okay, this time we're going with the OnePlus 8 pro snapdragon 865 12 gigabytes of ram 1080p display with a 90 hertz screen an android 10 with oxygen OS 11, and it is on the clock as we speak so far, the phone is pretty snappy, but it does look like it's taking a little longer to load into these apps versus the note was pretty much instantaneous, okay, we're at the 50-second mark, and we're at Call of Duty mobile. So it looks like it's going to come in behind the note all right, just finishing up here, we are at one minute and seven seconds the apps are staying in the background I can go between apps and everything is still running, which is good one minute and seven seconds is not too shabby, but that is definitely slower than the note 20 ultra next up is the pixel 5 has a snapdragon 765 processors, which is a mid-range processor, 8, gigabytes of ram, a 1080p display, and it's using android 11. , of course, before every test. I do a full reboot and clear all the apps from memory, even after the reboot okay.
So we begin the test now, as you can see, things are running pretty fast. As expected. You know, since the pixel is made by google and Google makes android, so it makes a lot of sense that this phone is gonna, be optimized for software, so the sneakers' app does hang up just a little as it pulls in the latest sneakers from the site, and this app does take a while to load, but it doesn't seem like it was too bad coming down. The home stretch is where we load in games, and this is where the difference really shows up between these phones. Launching Call of Duty mobile was pretty darn fast.
I will admit, I thought it would take a little longer. I even struggled a little trying to close it and get into another app, but uh. It actually was pretty fast, and now we're loading up pub g mobile as well another game that has an extremely long load time, and we'll see where we end up at okay. Overall, the score was one minute and 10 seconds, and now we're just going to launch other apps here, just to make sure it didn't close any apps and memory and, as you can see, every app is still loading up perfectly. It didn't have to relaunch any apps.
We are here at the OnePlus 8t. I was thinking this video was going to be easy. The OnePlus 8t would beat everything, but I'm not quite sure anymore, snapdragon, 865, 12, gigabytes of ram 1080p screen or android 11 oxygen, OS 11. I am concerned that it's not even going to beat the pixel 5, but only time will tell, and the time is now so far out of the gates. It seems to be pretty fast, but it just feels like the note, was a little faster, but this is just going off the initial eye test.
Okay, it's going to be pretty close, we're coming to the 50-second mark in this phone and the note 20 ultra we're neck and neck. At this point, let's see which one comes out on top, it lands back at the home screen at one minute in two seconds, which comes in a whole one second faster than the note 20 ultra okay. This is one I just added after the fact this phone just came in, so I said you know, might as well throw it in here. This is the lg wing. This is a snapdragon, 765 processors, eight gigabytes of ram.
It has dual sliding displays, and it has android 10. This is the Verizon variant of it, so it does have Verizon software on top of it, but I'm doing my best to work around that to get a stock-like experience, we'll see how it fares. When we do our test right off the bat I am noticing the animation speed on the lg wing is just a little slower than what we saw on the note or even the OnePlus, I'm not too sure if it's going to affect the overall score, but that is something I am noticing when I just launched a couple of apps. Overall, it looks like it is loading apps a little slower, especially apps, that need to pull data down like Reddit and YouTube and then even prime video, whereas the note just popped those things up pretty much instantly: okay, we're at the 52nd mark, and we're just on the play store. So we still have to go through those two large games.
Okay, coming down the home stretch, we are at the one minute and 20 second mark, and it looks like it's pushing right past that, so we're going to be around one minute. I would say in 32 seconds one minute and 30 seconds is what we landed at, which is the slowest one we've had so far yeah. There was a little of hiccups here and there when launching some apps, but I was pressing on the app it just wasn't grabbing my press. I ran this test two other times as well, and I landed at 131 and 128. So I'm going to split the difference and keep it at this 130 mark and checking the apps once again to make sure they're in memory, and it looks like they were now before.
We get out of here is a very quick recap: note 20 ultra one minute and three seconds, one plus eight pro one minute and seven seconds: pixel 5 woman and 10 OnePlus 8t, one minute and two seconds in the lg wing, one minute and 30 seconds, and there you have it guys. Those were the results. What did you think about that test? Like I said, I have more videos coming out for tech this month. We're going to try to pump out as many videos as possible. I'm a one-man team here doing the best I can so make sure you hit subscribe and go ahead and hit that bell notification to be notified.
When I make my next video anyways guys Kevin the tech ninja have a great day, stay safe, I'll, see you guys later peace.
