OnePlus 8 vs OnePlus 6 | Time to upgrade!?

This is the 1+8, and this is the one plus six I've been daily driving the one plus six for almost two years now, which I recently upgraded to the one plus eight because of some reasons so stay tuned as I. Compare these two great phones of all time and even answer the big question. Is it worth it to upgrade to the one plus eight series, if you're already one plus six honor, also have separate videos on these two phones, so I'll leave links down below the like button, so check them out. If you want to hey guys what's up, this is Philips future welcome back to the channel, hope you're staying safe wherever you are and if you knew here consider subscribing for more tech content on OnePlus, just like this one anyway, without wasting much time. Let's get started, I've categorized this review into two main parts, one similarity into the differences between the 1 plus 6 in the 1 plus 8 kicking off with what the 1 plus 6d first, the most from the 1 plus 8, and the huge difference you'll notice, even without holding the phones, is the design language.1 plus 8 is a tad bit taller and narrower compared to the widest 8 of the 1 plus 6. It's a compact phone made possible by heart stole 20 by 9 aspect ratio that makes it feel smaller in the hands and makes 100 operation slightly easier, even though it parks a slightly bigger display at 6 point 5, 5 inches compared to 6.28 on the 6 and talking about the display they share most things in common, like a 1080p display, with both having 402 pixels per inch. So media consumption is kinda same on both devices.

One thing with the 1 plus 8 is that I really like that curved display and another thing most of you are going to agree with me on this, but I haven't experienced savvy accidental touches with this phone at all. Don't get me wrong. These two displays are gorgeous with just a slight win to the 1 plus 8 for color accuracy and brightness, because this phone gets really bright outside auto brightness is also fine-tuned on the 1 + 8, which is something that I never used that much on the 1 plus 6, because it didn't get the calibration right where I wanted it to be. The biggest difference, of course, that will make you hit the 1 + 6 is that high refresh rate of the 1 + 8 at 90 highest compared to the 60 has on the 6 scrolling is really smooth on the 1 + 8 + animations are just much quicker. That feels really natural to the eyes.

On the other hand, the one plus six kinds of feels like it's keeping some frames when scrolling and general navigation from app to app also feels slightly choppy I, guess I'm, just spoiled by that 90,000, the one plus eight- and this is one of the reasons that might make you wanna- consider switching to the one plus eight series. Another huge difference is the notes. Implementation, one plus six has that old knot style placed in the middle that brings out some symmetry are supposed to the one plus eight, which has a bunch cut out in the top-left corner. I personally prefer that hole-punch to any other kind of notes, implementation, pop-up, selfie mechanism, included the one plus six as a physical capacity of fingerprints ends on the back. That is quite faster compared to that in display fingerprint scan on the one plus eight I get it.

Yes, it's the future, but I'll still prefer physical capacitive scanner to this one right here on the one plus eight for that extra speed. Both phones are face unlock though so yeah. You are not limited to fingerprint scanners alone. When it comes to security. One thing you get with the six and not with the eight is the headphone jack one plus six was the last one plus phone to come with the headphone jack, which is a big win here, because audio coming out of wired earphone sounds slightly better than wireless earphones.

Zero latency, plus most people, still have wired earphones lying around and talking of audio the OnePlus 8, on the other hand, has the best of the best sound quality because of that stereo speaker setup, built in it, I'll always press the one plus eight for the best sound quality plus Dolby Atmos support here makes a very huge difference again. If you're someone who strings a lot like I, do then having stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos will change your life. A human is great on both phones with just a slight advantage to the 1 plus 8, the on plus 8 bucks, a snapdragon 865 with 5g versus 845 on the C, which is two generations Alma, but don't get me wrong. The OnePlus 6 still holds up pretty well in RAM, demanding ABS gaming is still excellent. Plus day-to-day tasks are handled pretty.

Well through my own classics. He has 8 gigs of RAM compared to 12 gigs on my 1 plus 8, with your phase 3.0. That makes a very huge difference. So can you even feel the difference when it comes to performance? Well, yes, there's a difference when it comes to multitasking, but, as I said, is a slight difference that you won't really notice unless you're looking for the only difference here is that 60 has will make you feel like your phone is slowing down a little, but this will happen if you have already used a 90 has phone before both phone runs on oxygen, OS 10 on top of hundred 10, which is basically the oxygen OS that you are used to. The newer features here on the OnePlus 8 includes Dolby Atmos support, optimized charging and live caption feature that might come to Moldovan + phone through a feature software update, the on plus 6, has received a couple of software updates, including under 9 and 10, and I still think that the OnePlus 6 will receive under the 11, because the OnePlus 5 series are receiving under gen right now.

On the other hand, the 1 plus 8 comes with under 10 out of the box, and if you follow OnePlus update policy, that means that the 1 + 8 will receive one word: 11 12 and most likely 13 + 3 years of security, patch updates so yeah. This is something that will make this phone even better. Over the coming years, the one plus six bucks, a 16 megapixel main camera, plus a 20 megapixel depth sensor compared to a forty, eight megapixel main 16 megapixel ultra-wide under 2 megapixel macro lens on the 1 plus 8, and here I've, taken great shots with my 1 plus 6 for the terms that have been daily driving it, and this changed the day that I launched the camera up on my 1 plus 8. For the first time the 48 megapixel camera on the 1 plus 8 is great GS, but I. Don't really use it that much because of less sharp images with less accurate Karla's.

That comes out 2 feet, but don't get me wrong. It is still a great camera to have that macro. Camera on the 8 is trashed because of taking better macro shots with my 1 plus 6 before, even though it doesn't have a dedicated macro lens night. Photos are also much more visible on the 8 than on the seats because of newer sensors and improved nights cape on the 1 plus stage I'm, not a selfie type of person, but one plus eight produces much more detailed and amazing selfies, even though they both share 16, megapixel camera, so yeah. Basically, the 1 plus 8 wins in the camera department, but not by much battery wise, the 1 plus 8 as a much bigger 4300 William hour compared to 3300 William hour battery on the 1 plus 6.

This is a 30% increase in capacity which, by the way, translates pretty well in real life. I get around 6 to 7 hours of screen on time on my 1 plus 8, on a single charge with the 90 highest on, and I'm also heavy user, which isn't the case on my 1 plus 6, which ends my day with about 3 to 4 hours of screen on time. On heavy usage, that's not awful, but if the battery dies, we have faster charging speeds on both phones with 20 watts, discharging on the 1 plus 6, and a chop child 30 T on the 1 plus 8, which juices up the phone faster, but not really noticeable. If you're coming from an older one plus form similarities between the two phones include lack of an official IP rating, no LS charging, regardless of glass box, both often ATP displays with 402 PPI both of our first experience and that's all. Let me know down in the comment section if there's something that I've missed and let's have a charge now to the final question: is it worth it to upgrade from the 1 plus 6 to the 8? I mean there are way many advantages to do that, like new processor, with the 5g capabilities, better cameras, better battery life, higher refresh rate and better speakers, among others.

On the other hand, the one plus six still has not performed takes. Average photos retain a headphone jack and you might find great deals on the one plus six right now. So it's up to you to decide on whether the changes are really convincing. But if you want the greatest out of a phone, then you can grab the flagship, one plus eight Pro, or wait for the HD if you're not in a hurry, but that comes with a huge price. Anyway, that's a wrap, guys hope you've enjoyed this video drop a like if you did smash that subscribe button, because that helps a lot and until next time guys goodbye and most of all stay safe.
