Apple  OFFICIAL Smart Battery Case - iPhone XS / MAX - Hands on Review...MINES BROKEN!

What's up guys random user here with another tech video for guys today and today, where I check out Apple's official, new smart battery case for the iPhone, tennis and tennis max so of course, low for you, let's slice, this open check it out and give us my quick, in-depth review. So this is the first time Apple has introduced a battery case for the iPhone since the iPhone 7. This case is available in two different colors. We have this black model as well as a white model, and normally I say pick whichever color you like, but in this case after reviewing cases for almost a decade now, I definitely recommend a black one for off one obvious reason: this will stay cleaner than the white one. Because of this rubberized textured coating, the minute you get a stain on it. It would be very difficult to remove, especially if you wear blue jeans, so the first and only thing that we get is the case here and on the inside of the case, we have a quick picture of how to install the case, which is pretty interesting, looks like you just slide it in.

As well as some warranty information and no Apple stickers, so that is pretty much it's so taking a closer look at this case here, it's very similar to the silicone case that Apple also sells, except that this has a built-in external battery pack. The outside does have this rubberized coating to it. So it does offer a good amount of grip as well as resists scratches, and one thing I like about Apple cases is that they also have this microfiber lined interior, which helps protect your phone from scratches. So here's the iPhone 10 I, do have a glass screen protector on here, which I really hope does work with this case and according to the specs, your soul, so just bend the top back and slide your phone in, which is a pretty interesting way of doing this. Normally I, don't like sliding my phone in cases just because your wrist scratching the bezel and press down, hopefully the ports line up, and once you press the phone down into the charger port, just snap, the top piece on, and I think that's pretty much it and once you have it installed.

This is what it should look like. I'm, also astonished that my edge to edge glass screen protector works with this case, so thank you, Apple for making it really compatible with tempered glass screen protectors. Anyways take a quick overview of this case and what a has to offer starting off with the top here, we do have an excellent amount of bezel protection and, unlike Apple's, silicone in other cases, the batterer case does protect the bottom portion of your phone were those other cases is just the left as a wide opening on the side of the case. You'd have a cut-off for to vibrate and ringer switch covers for the volume rockers, as well as a power button on the other side and I still feel like actual buttons. When you press on them on the bottom.

Here with Apple position, you do have exact perforated cutouts for both the mic and speakerphone. You can also see there is a lightning port built onto the case, so you can still charge and sync your phone we've on to the back. There is a giant hump for the battery. Unfortunately, Apple doesn't state how big of a battery it is in terms of million hours, but according to Apple you're supposed to get 37 hours of additional talk time or 20 hours of additional Internet use or 25 extra hours of video playback. There's a precision cuddle for the dual camera and flash and pretty much the only case I can legally do this is to put on an Apple logo on the back so overall guys, first off as a standalone iPhone case, it does a pretty good job at protect your phone.

All the sides are covered up, really happy. That's compatible with my tempered glass screen protector, and one big feature that I mentioned earlier is that it also protects the bottom of your phone in regard to having an external battery built on into this case, it's actually pretty decently, designed, even though it's not the prettiest looking iPhone case out there. The one upside with having a big hump on the back is that for those of you with larger hands, it will probably feel a little more comfortable to hold your phone and check on the Internet. It seems like the battery pack. That's built into this case is a 1300, some odd million our capacity battery.

It won't exactly give you a double with the battery life of your iPhone. There definitely extend it quite a bit. One of my favorite features of this battery pack is that the battery pack itself is also wireless charging compatible. So if you have a wireless charger and yeah the iPhone, tennis or tennis max, which are also while this charger compatible, will work with this case and will charge your iPhone first and then charge the battery pack in terms of any cons for things. I, don't like about this case, because there is an external battery pack on here.

It does add a bit of heft your phone, so in other words, it makes a little heavier. The other con with this case is quite obvious. The price point this case Rico's, were 129 dollars in the States and a hundred and seventy-nine dollars in Canada here and when you look at other cases like the Sophie Juice Pack, it is a little more expensive than those cases, but nonetheless you're definitely paying an Apple premium like any other Apple product. The one advantage of having the Apple version of this battery cases, two things it is wireless charging compatible. So you can use a wilds' charger with this case, and also we can view the battery status on your phone to see what the battery life is left on your solar battery case.

The final con I want to mention with this case in particularly with my case here, is the fact it just stopped working. It won't charge on this wireless pad here, I plugged it in with the cable, it still won't charge restarted. My iPhone made sure it's up-to-date and for some reason, the extra battery pack just stopped working kind of another thing to throw in a view, but just one of you guys my honest experience with this so far is that it just not working I, don't know why I've also taken my phone in and out to ensure that the Lightning port is working I plugged my phone directly into the Lightning port to make sure that's, not the phone, and it charges fine, so yeah. It's another thing that my battery pack just stopped working, and I'm really not sure because, like I literally add a loss, this is the first time I ever bought something where it was kind of dead. On arrival from apples so yeah.

This is definitely something going back to Apple and me. Probably won't try it again, just to make sure that it is not my phone, and it's the case. That's defective, but just again wanted to share with you guys that my case for some reason stopped working here. It is again I'm plugging my lightning cable into the case. You're still so hear a little ping see some charging happening, but, as you guys can see here, nothing so I took the case off just to make sure it's not my phone I'll plug it in again and the charges, so definitely not my phone something's wrong with my battery case.

It's going back to Apple, so assuming all the other Apple smart battery like this I, do recommend this case, as is pretty nice concept. Pretty much. Extending the battery life of your iPhone without having to fit around with a battery pack and having it built right onto the case is very convenient. In addition, the fact that you can also charge this case via wireless charging is also a nice bonus. Anyways thanks for watching guys hope you enjoy the video and that's my quick look at Apple's brand-new smart battery case for the iPhone, tennis and tennis max.
