OnePlus 8 Unboxing and hands-on

Okay I'm, just gonna, have a look at two phones today. This is the one plus eight on the right hand, side and the one plus eight rope on the left boys have one person sent us some lovely cases to go with it, so you can have a look at those. This is the sandstone bumper case on the left you can see. Obviously, the camera arrangement is different on the 1 + 8 Pro and one of these carbon bumper case. We also got on the right hand, side for the 8. We get sandstone bumper case.

It's Sam, both science of these both ways to do the same, but this one here is a nylon bumper case slightly different to the carbon-14, the I-pro. So we're going to give those a try, perhaps in a separate video, but let's show you the two phones side-by-side, so they obviously come in exactly the same boxes, and I'm gonna. First, do an unboxing of the Quick-start guide. You've got an invitational mess, and we got some warranty information and tech support information. If you need help, so you just pull those.

This is the phone itself beautifully presented the device from want. Let's really do present their phones very well, indeed, here's the phone and that's where those cards came from in the box, and we got that infamous red Warner charge cable here- and it comes with the bumper case here this sort of flexible case that can go over it, and you've got never settle written on there, which, hopefully, you can see, maybe in the dark for my hand behind it. You can see that and napkins are on the phone to protect it, because it is very shiny. I'll show you in a minute: how shiny is this red cable? Again it's beautifully presented in the box as per normal- it's not just stuff it in there or cable tied together, cable twisted together. This is actually presented very, very well indeed, and we've got the 30 charger.

It does look a bit bulky, but definitely keep and use this one, and it will charge due to its 5 volts and 6 amps output. It will charge this incredibly quickly, and it means it goes from 0 to 50 percent in just 22 minutes. Furthermore, it's really fast the phone itself here, look at that one windy today, but you can see this place your green. This is a glass of green. This by the way, is a 12 gigabyte memory version with 256 GB of storage.

There is an 8 gig version with 128 gigs of storage. This one, the higher-end 12 key and 256 gig versions is in this color. Only the other version is available in onyx black as well as this version this color, it's small, smaller and lighter than the 8 pro it's basically 180 grams, but it dusts on there should have fix that. We've got this pin display camera, but this has got a lot of overlap with the 8 pro. So don't think this see.

You know that the one that you should avoid because, it's definitely not I mean this. One still got the Snapdragon processor, the 8 6 5 CPU got the 5 g chipset that flexible I mean even with this. On the back. It still looks really, really nice, so I'd advise keep this plastic bumper on rubberized bumper, on the back on the phone you're gonna. Really, it still looks like a very beautiful phone, even with this cover on there.

So that's I'll show you around the phone and so on the front.16 megapixels, selfie camera, which is there in display version here, is a Sony lens, I believe and on the back so yeah it's hole punch. They call this the hole, punch, selfie lens on the front there. This is a screen protector on there, which is well from, but you can take them off. Leave it on this one, because it's not mine in this back, so in here is four thousand three hundred million power battery, which gets you from 0 to 50 percent in 22 minutes with that charger, as I mentioned on the back, is a forty, eight megapixel main Sony lens, and then we've got a 16 megapixel ultra-wide shooter and a two megapixel macro lens, there's no real zoom, but you get 4k video slo-mo, and it's not waterproof. Sadly, but you do get Bluetooth 5.1! You get dual stereo speakers, such as sure this be for the bottom here. Hopefully, you can see that in camera focus on it, let's hold up.

So there's the external speaker: there is USB-C charging. This is a sim tray. Obviously you got a sim removal tool in there, and we've got the volume control on the beautiful. This phone is. The reflection in the sunshine is gorgeous.

So, on the right hand, side we've got this three position switch here which changes it from vibrate to silence and then to ring mode. You just flick that it's easy to find, and it's just one two three, and we've got the power button to wake the screen or put it back to sleep, and then we've got the secondary microphone up here at the top, so that screen is an AMOLED 1080 by 2 400 pixel 402 PPI AMOLED screen running at 90, Hertz I, see of the difference between this and the eight pro the eight pro runs at 120 Hertz. This runs at 90. No wireless charging here, unfortunately, but like I, say you get some the 3d Corning Gorilla Glass USB, you get the dual stereo speakers, pretty fine one which comes with an X in the couple takes HD NFC GPS do you'll, buy a dual-band Wi-Fi and you get the 5g x, 55 chipsets and the Arena 650 GPU. You also get an in display fingerprint sensor and the eight six five CPU alright.

So that's the one plus eight, and you can see here that it really doesn't detract much put in this case on it. Nice to me, it looks very nice. The reflection on that is really nice. This is a higher-end model, so that's one plus 8, so I'll have a look at that in more detail in another video review.
