One Month Review With The Poco F2 Pro

Yesterday was the global launch of the Redmi k30 pro known as the Poco f2 pro I've been using this device now for well over a month, and I've had some kind of international firmware on it or like internationally focused firmware on it. Now, for over a month as well, I've essentially been using a homophone f2. At the same time, I still have my Redmi k20 pro, and I was a homophone f1 fan. So today I'm going to talk about the Poco f2 pro from two different perspectives. Now the first one is that of a Redmi k20 pro owner. The second is a homophone enthusiast right, the homophone really kind of went away from the trend, and it focused on like pure specs, and then that was pretty much it.

The k20 pro, on the other hand, focused a lot on specs, but giving us this near flagship, build quality that was lacking in some areas, but still much better than the Poco f1. So, let's start off this review talking about the cameras now, the Poco f2 pro is going to launch with the same cameras as the Redmi k30 pro non-zoom. So no is, no telephoto camera, but we're going to have a macro camera an ultra-wide and a bigger, pretty good imx686 sensor. Now from the perspective of a homophone owner. This is a huge upgrade in pure homophone style.

Maybe we would see the mix 686 and then maybe the Xiaomi 20 megapixel ultra-wide and then nothing like no macro cameras and just give us kind of the bare essentials. But from the perspective of a Redmi k20 pro owner, we now have the top of the line Sony sensor being the IMAX 686. We have a good ultra-wide camera, although I would say that the ultra-wide camera on the k30 pro isn't that much better than it is on the k20 pro and instead of the telephoto camera, which wasn't used for video only for photo, and it didn't even use the telephoto camera in low light. We have a macro camera. In my opinion, the cropped images that we're going to get from the mix 686 will be of as good, if not better quality than the actual telephoto camera we had on the Redmi k20 pro.

So in that regard um. This is a usable upgrade, although if this is a homophone, this seems extraneous now talking about my experience with the camera on the k30 pro, it's been pretty good. A lot has been released from the camera, with the Guam mods that we have out for it right now, and I am pretty happy with the stills' camera performance. That said, the lack of OAS still hampers us, and we only recently got 4k 60 with as and that's only from g cam, and that's only on the main sensor, which doesn't give us any of the manual video controls, but is pretty good overall quality so again for photo, it's quite acceptable for video. It's still hampered and does not really compete with the 10.

Now, let's talk about the screen now compared to the screen on the Redmi k20 pro the Redmi k30 pro screen is a higher touch, refresh rate which addresses most, if not all, issues that I've had with the touch jitter on this device. If you guys want to see more videos about touch jitter, you can check up here and the screen is ultra bright, and it's really, really nice to use outside the high touch sampling rate is extremely, extremely nice for doing like precise stuff on your phone, and it makes the device feel really, really fast. I feel like with the homophone style of things we would have had a high refresh rate display and like a notch on it somehow, but I think that, from the perspective of a k20 pro owner, this screen um follows kind of the philosophy behind the k20 pro from the perspective of the homophone, which had a pretty terrible screen um. This is better than a pretty terrible screen, so it's kind of neither in the spirit of the homophone, but it is definitely a successor to the screen on the k20 pro now. Let's talk about the internals.

Now the homophone f1 had top of my internals. The Redmi k20 pro had the top of the line processor, but it still had UFS 2.1 storage, and it didn't have LP ddr5 ram. So from the perspective of the homophone f1, this homophone f2 is right in line with that um. At that point in time, UFS 3.1 storage was kind of a really, really new thing. So this definitely follows that line of top-of-the-line internals uh now compared to the Kate.

This construction is going to drive me crazy now, from the perspective of the k20 pro um. This kind of follows that as well as the k20 pro was like the flagship soc, but for storage and stuff, like that it wasn't uh as flagship. So this is definitely kind of following that same philosophy and upgrading that of the Redmi k20 pro now build quality. Build quality is something that the homophone f2, in my opinion, absolutely fails at coming from a homophone, f1 buyer. If I'm buying a homophone, I want that device to be made as cheaply as possible.

I want to be all about specs all about performance and all about just kind of functionality and making the device like better to actually use um. It does totally fit the build philosophy of the Redmi k20 pro, but the Redmi k20 pro was never meant to be a homophone successor, so in the philosophy of the Redmi k20 pro. This totally follows that and even upgrades if it's got a stepping motor for really, really good haptics, and I have an article on my website about haptics. Personally, I would have rather seen a plastic phone and a high refresh rate display, or instead of a pop-up camera, a notch like the homophone originally had, and a high refresh rate display so build quality if you're coming from a Redmi k20 pro is, is a step-up. If you're coming from a homophone, I feel like you, wouldn't care so much about this.

Build quality, and you'd care more about specs or having a high refresh rate display, which unfortunately, this does not have design. Now the design of the homophone f2 is beautiful, like this is a really felt device to use. It's really, really nice. The materials feel great. At the same time, it doesn't feel like it carries the homophone tradition at all and, unfortunately like the in-display fingerprint scanner like it just doesn't feel like they're, giving me pure specs.

It feels like they're trying to give me an 80 flagship or 75 flagships, which still is perfect, but it's its not like the homophone experience. So overall, like my one month using the homophone f2. This is an upgrade from the Redmi k20 pro in many ways, and it's a good device, but coming from a homophone and being a homophone buyer, I would expect less in the way of cameras, just an ultra-wide, like the 20 megapixel ultra-wide and the mix 686. None of the other cameras. From the perspective of build quality, I would have been happy with plastic and instead of having a pop-up camera, I would have been happy with a small like notch, so that it follows the homophone tradition and that's not to knock this device's performance.

This device performs flawlessly and, in my opinion this just isn't a homophone and to call it a homophone is kind of misleading. It's not to say that. I dislike the device or it's bad. I just don't think it should be called a homophone okay. Now to read your comments from my hundred dollar Samsung s20 ultra video link to that video up here.

Oh, man trouble with that fingerprint scanner was brutal PS. It was awesome to hear you speaking Vietnamese. I think that was very cool. I actually have a whole Vietnamese channel I'll link to that up here. Bottom Goswami, do you frequently face problems with the k30 pro fingerprint scanner? Not detecting correctly? My response was yes.

Will it be a worse reason to skip this k30 pro model just want to know your thoughts um. I don't think that the fingerprint scanner is really a reason to buy or not to buy this device uh it. The fingerprint scanner works a lot of times. If my hands are moister, um Carl solos, what neckband headphones are you using? It looks fun. Those are the Sony, WI c 400s.

I think uh they're, my favorite motorcycle neckband headphones and I actually have a video about only using neckband headphones for a week coming up. So if you guys want to see that video subscribe, why are you even reviewing fake phones, or you can even tell it's fake from the back just start? Reviewing Xiaomi products, not fake phones, I'm working on a review of a Xiaomi toothbrush right now that video is just fun. Logan wants to be friends, yeah. Of course, I do uh hey. Are you uh Constantine fishers of hey? Are you using Microsoft, launcher 2, I'm doing a video about leaving the Microsoft ecosystem of apps for the Google one? You can see that first video link up here.

That's gonna, wrap up this video today. I've really enjoyed using this device. I just don't feel like it's a homophone f2. If you have a Redmi k20 pro, I don't think that you should upgrade to the k30 pro. It's not a big enough upgrade in my opinion.

Again, these are just my thoughts and opinions until next time guys it's been Mitchell coming to you guys from mono peace.
