Nokia c2 unboxing and brief overview (English)

Hey, what is happening guys? It's, the South, African tech, YouTuber yeah, and it's a new day and a new unboxing for my side. Today we have the Nokia c2 in front of me about three months ago. I did the unboxing of the Nokia c1. That phone was announced in December 2019 and was released in South Africa in my country in around February 2020, and this is the Nokia c2, which is basically the updated version of the Nokia c1. It's a little more expensive, obviously, but slightly better specification. So, as we can see in the box here, the color here on the box is this: it's called a cyan.

Basically a blue color. The one I got here is the charcoal color. So it comes in two colors, which is the charcoal, which is a blackish kind of color and the Scalia. The Nokia c1, on the other hand, came in charcoal as well in my unboxing I had the charcoal color as well, and it came in a red color. So if you look at the box here, we can see that this phone also is running, unfortunately on Android 9pi.

So this phone is released in 2020, and it's a pity that Nokia couldn't put Android 10 on this phone, but hopefully I'm sure, because this is a new phone, it will be getting. The Android can update quite soon. So this phone has a 5.7-inch, HD Plus display. So that is one big difference between this phone and a Nokia c1, because a Nokia c1 had a 5.45 inch display, which is a little smaller I. Don't think that's a big difference, but the big difference is that this is an HD blast, displace or 720p display, so you'll be able to watch YouTube videos and videos etc.

in 720p, whereas that phone, the Nokia c1, was only a 480p display again here, slight spec bump. This phone has a 2800 William hour battery, whereas the Nokia c1 a two thousand eight hundred two thousand five hundred million power battery, but I'm sure the battery life will be similar because there's a 720p display, so it will consume more battery life, and that is a 480p display going on to the these specifications. It's exactly the same as the c1 one gig of ram 16 gigs of storage. I. Think this one gig of ram is really disappointing or expect Nokia.

Even at this price point of 1,000 sundered South African trends, I would expect at least two gigabytes of ram and maybe, if also maybe, 32 gigs of storage. However, if you're having a problem of storage which moo most likely well with this phone, my suggestion is to put a micros card you'll, be able to put one for 64 gigabytes in here and then the cameras. There is unfortunately, no improvement on the camera from the Nokia c2 to the Nokia c1. They both have five megapixel front and back cameras. So let me open the box and see what we get inside here.

As we can see here. It's basically exactly the same unboxing to the Nokia c1. You can see here. We've got first the device itself here open it here. You can see the device here, a little of a bigger screen.

I can see, but I'll get that switched on, and we can see the back here where, if somewhere, it feels a little, but it looks the same, but it feels of quite a little different to the Nokia c1. The Nokia c1 had a little of a texture on it, but, generally speaking it looks the same. So I'm going to put this to the side, and we'll get back to you in a minute I'm going to open the box. Here we see this. This is what I missed out on my last unboxing Nokia c1 we've got the removable battery here.

So you see this is a little of a bigger battery in comparison to that. Thank you. So this is a two thousand eight hundred million power battery, whereas that one was a 2500 William hour Pesci, it's just C yeah there we go two thousand eight hundred million powers, and then we've got the get started guide and the sorry about that and the product info. Here we go sorry I'll just put that to the side, and then, if you know this is something that we didn't get on. The Nokia c1, which is really, really nice I, actually want that.

This was a. This is a silicone case that was not given on the Nokia c1, and it seems like it's given here on Etsy to a little cutout for the cameras and I cut out here for the speaker. So the speakers are at the back of the phone here, not on the side. Usually the speakers are and yeah yeah, but you can see on this phone it's here. So, if you're listening to something in your phones like this, the sound will be a bit muffled anyway, see.

What's underneath this little box here, we can see that we've got a hoping. This is USB, really hoping. This is USB, no really, really disappointed here. This is a microUSB cable, so I mean 2020, yes, I understand that's easy, cheap phone, but to have micro, USB, cable, even on a cheap phone, is, in my opinion, Alex unacceptable, and then we've got some cheap in-ear headphones and, of course, the power brick which again is the same power, brick that was on the Nokia c1. It is I, can't focus here, but it is an it's a 5, volt, 1 amp, so 5 watt power, brick, so I'm going to get this phone switched on now, and I'll be back with you now.

Ok, so I've taken this backup off. It is removable back cover. I just wanted to show you. This I put the battery inside here. The Nokia c1 that I had the unit that I had was a dual SIM model.

So those of you who are buying this phone- this is going to be specific in South Africa, you're gonna. If you buy it from a carrier like Viacom or MTN. Unfortunately, those carriers don't give you some. So if you look on my Nokia c1 boxing I leave the Nokia c1 unboxing in the description below you'll see, there was one some stuck here and another one here so here we see that it's covered there's only one some slot here and then the micro SD card slot here, but if you're going to buy this phone elsewhere in the world, most likely you're going to get a dual SIM, and I'm sure in South Africa they're going to release a model which has dual SIM in it. So let me just get this phone switched on which I did say just now, but I just wanted to show you the back, though, with the cover removed, and then I'll just I'll, be with you know: okay, guys, I've completed the setup of this phone before I get into it.

I'm just gonna. Ask if you guys could please subscribe to my channel. I would really appreciate it. Also, if you enjoy this video hit the thumbs up button and share this video with other people that you know so right off the bat. The first thing I realized with this phone, is that the 720, like you, can just see the difference between the display of the Nokia c1 and thus Nokia c2.

The 720p display is definitely noticeable and also I. Thought I thought that a 5.7 inch display won't make a big difference, but little the slightly bigger display does actually make a difference. So, as we can see here, this is the screen on the top. Here, we've got a've got the front five megapixel camera we've got, and we've got a flash as well with the camera. I think, there's a there's a notification light years.

Well, I just have to check that out on the side of the phone. The switch is the left-hand side of the phone. We have something that we did not have on the Nokia c1, which is a Google Assistant button. So if you click here, you'll see that it Google Assistant opens up. If we look on the right-hand side of the phone, we've got the power on/off switch and the volume up and down on the top of the device.

We've got a headphone jack, which is a rarity in 2020. However, on these super cheap phones, we see it quite often and at the bottom of your device there is a micro USB for the charger micro USB slot for the charger, and we've got a noise-cancelling microphone. Sometimes we do get a microphone on the bottom and the top on this device. Unfortunately, it's only at the bottom and another thing that I notice is that this phone is much not much but a little thinner and then the Nokia c1, because it's a bigger screen, the phone is a little taller. So even though it has a bigger battery, it doesn't add any thickness, because the phone is a little taller and at the back of the device we can see the have its Nadia branding, and we've got the five megapixel rear.

Camera was of left and the side. This entire back cover is made out of plastic, so the old phones bless it and obviously the front of the device is made out of glass. Another thing is: when I set up the phone there was a software update, but not an Android software update just a normal security update in terms of security for this device, I was given the option to set up my face, so I did set up my face, and I'm going to show you now how quick it is to unlock the phone, what the face unlock so as we can see. If I unlock like this, it's not looking on my face now, so it obviously doesn't unlock, so I have to use the pen lock and if I lock it now I'm gonna I'm going to put my face like this. There we go took a little long to uh, to use my face to unlock it, but at least it has a face unlock feature.

So looking at the software one thing I like about Nokia devices, is that you get this clean, Android software on it. So we can see that there's no bloat way, it's just all general Android apps, because this is in the cheap one of the cheaper Nokia devices. We can see that the applications there are only all Co application, so gallery called Google code. Gmail, chrome, apps Co, all of these Co applications. However, you can, you can actually download the full versions of these applications.

The reason why they've put these applications is the storage wise. They take up less amount of storage, and also they don't have all the features as the full version of the applications, because these phones don't have a lot of storage. Unfortunately on it, they that's why they've put these applications on it. If we look at the storage here, it's a 16, gig storage, 4.32 geeks is used out of the box, so 27 percent use out of the 16 gigs. My suggestion is, if you're going to buy this for definitely put a 64 gig memory card in this phone, because you're going to have a problem with storage, so I'm going to be using this phone in the upcoming days and hopefully in the next one or two weeks, I'm going to be releasing a full review of this phone, which includes you know the camera test, gaming tests, etc.

, etc. So if you guys want to see that video, please subscribe to, my channel also hit that Bell notification little sign on YouTube, so that you are notified whenever I make a new video and, more specifically, when I make a new video of this phone. Also, if you enjoyed this video hit that thumbs up button and share those videos with other people, I really appreciate you guys. I appreciate your time as well. I've reached a thousand subscribers recently and hopefully reaching 10,000 in the near future.

Thank you for watching, and I'll see you in the next one.
