If there are any parts in particular, you want to jump straight to, but first, let's take a quick look at some updates and news.

The date is now official for the Apple event spring-loaded, which is going to be held on April 20th. This was initially leaked by Siri. It is rumored that we may see some new, updated iPads air tags and new iMacs apple's, 24-hour free music video streaming service Apple Music TV is now available in the UK. This can be found in the Apple Music app in its own section. Labeled Apple Music, TV, the service has started in the US in October 2020, but has now been released in the UK and Canada and finally, Nintendo has released a new color for their switch light blue, but this is being debated because it does look purple.

I actually think it still looks quite nice. Okay, so today we will jump straight into the Sony event, with the tagline speed and beyond. Sony have announced three new phones, the flagship Sony, Xperia 1 mark iii, the Xperia 5 mark iii and the Xperia 10 mark iii. Let's take a look at the Xperia 1 mark iii. I'd like to start off by saying that Sony has a great reputation in the camera world, and I'll be honest, I'm using a Sony alpha 6600 right now, so I was kind of hoping that some of that magic would be given to the experience camera too.

So Sony have improved on their autofocus technology in the mark iii, with greater tracking capabilities introduced by a world's first variable, telephoto lens in a smartphone. The variable telephoto lens ranges between 70 millimeters and 105 millimeters. There is also an ultra-wide camera, ranging between 16 millimeters and 24 millimeters, and finally, a digital zoom called AI super resolution, zoom, which can zoom to up to 300 millimeters. It has 12 megapixel sensors, as well as dual phase detection sensors to balance between the quality of the photos and the speed. The autofocus accuracy has also been improved by having 247 autofocus points within the frame the burst photo mode has been improved by performing 60 calculations per second having the focus and exposure be calculated three times between each individual frame, giving a more accurate final result.

It has 20 frames per second continuous, burst, shooting, which is a feature that was engineered by the same team that made the Sony alpha camera series low light burst. Photography has also been improved because of some enhanced algorithms. A dedicated shutter button has also been added to the phone to give that real camera feel pressing it down. Halfway will enable a continuous autofocus feature to stay in focus on a moving subject. Real-Time tracking is also a feature from the alpha cameras that is now in the opera.

This allows the focus to remain on the subject, even if they are moving quickly. This is enabled by tapping onto the screen on where you'd, like the camera, to focus on basically similar to how you'd focus on most smartphones. These days, you can also shoot in raw photo mode and for video. You can now record in 4k HDR from between 24 frames per second up to 120 frames per second, so for the display, the Xperia 1 mark iii has a 4k HDR OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 hertz, which is great to see the refresh rate was something I was really hoping to see on the iPhone 12 Pro lineup, but it looks like it won't be until the iPhone 13 or 12 s. When we'll see that it is great to see that both Sony and Samsung now have 120hz displays, it has a 6.5-inch screen with no notch intruding onto the screen when watching videos it has a 21x9 ultrawide display, which is great for both watching media and gaming. The resolution is 3840x1644 for the audio Sony started off by making a point that the phone does have a 3.5 millimeter audio jack. So you can plug your headphones right in this used to be a big pain point for me when the iPhone took it away, but with wireless earphones and headphones increasing in popularity, availability and affordability is not having the jack still an issue.

I'd have to say I'd, probably be on team 3.5, millimeter headphone jack to avoid having to carry around those different adapters. Are you for or against having headphone jacks on new smartphones? I'd love to know your thoughts? If you leave a comment below 360 spatial sound, which mixes two channels to give a 360 degree experience when streaming with tidal the speakers on the Xperia 1 mark iii now have 360 reality, audio with upgraded hardware decoding. The speakers are 40 percent more powerful than that on the Xperia 1 mark ii, the processor in the Xperia 1 mark iii, is the Qualcomm snapdragon 8885g. The battery is said to last three years longer than conventional batteries using a 4500 William per hour battery. It has QI wireless charging as well having pop-up windows are now possible and the Xperia now uses corning gorilla glass victors.

Its water resistance is rated at ip65 to 68. The next phone Sony announced is the Xperia 5 mark iii. This is in essence the same as the Xperia 1 mark 3 only smaller having a 6.1 inch display instead of 6.5. It has a resolution of 2520 by 1080. One other difference is that the Xperia 1 mark 3 has 12 gigabytes of ram and 256 gigabytes of storage space.

The Xperia 5 mark iii has 8 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of storage. Space both can be upgraded with SD cards. And finally, we have the Xperia 10 mark iii. It's described as being a mid-range model with 5g. It has a display size of 6 inches and the same resolution as the Xperia 5 mark iii.

Furthermore, it also has the 21 by nine ultra-wide screen as well, and a four thousand five hundred million per hour battery. The refresh rate, however, is 60 hertz and not a hundred and twenty. There is also a difference in the rear cameras and also no 5-axis stabilization on the front camera. The Xperia 10 mark iii has 6 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of storage space. It also uses a different processor being the Qualcomm snapdragon 690 5g.

These are some main differences in the lineup I'll leave some links to the full specs in the description, if you'd like to compare them, so no specific release date has been given for the three smartphones. Yet, however, they will be available early summer. The Xperia 1 mark 3 will come in frosted, black frosted gray and frosted purple. The Xperia 5 mark iii will come in green, black and pink, and the Xperia 10 mark iii will come in white, blue, black and pink. No pricing information was given yet, but the Xperia 1 mark ii costs 1 099 pounds.

We will have to wait and see if the mark 3 will have a similar price tag. I hope you enjoyed this video and if you did, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe.
