Samsung Galaxy A11 vs Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra - Who Will Win?

Which is better the Samsung Galaxy a11 or the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra well, in this video we're going to find out hi everyone. This is Kevin here coming at you with my comparison between the Samsung Galaxy a11 and the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra now the a11 is a relatively high-end device from Samsung being offered at under 200. , whereas the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra has a MSRP of 1300, so you could buy five or six or even seven galaxy a11s for the same price as one galaxy s20 ultra and in this video we're gonna check out how these devices are similar and different, and I'm sure no one would necessarily cross shop one over the other. But if you are considering getting an a11, then you're probably curious what you're missing out on and that's the purpose of this video. Now with the Samsung Galaxy a11, we are getting a decently large display at 6.4 inches compared to a very large display at 6.9 inches with the s20 ultra. You can definitely see here that the two displays are different, but at the same time it's not like the a11.

Is that much smaller. So nowadays it doesn't even matter if you're going for a high-end phone or a high-end phone they're going to have very big displays. Now the a11 display is TFT, whereas with the s20 ultra we're getting a dynamic AMOLED display, so we're going to be getting much better colors and viewing angles with the s20 ultra compared to the a11. The a11 features a 720p display compared to the s20 ultra, which has 1440p we're getting a PPI of 268 with the a11 compared to a PPI of 511, with the s20 ultra we're getting a 19 and a half by 9 aspect ratios with the a11 compared to a 20 by 9 aspect ratio with the s20 ultra, which means that the s20 ultra is a little more narrow but taller. But both phones do feature tall and narrow form factors here and with the a11 we're getting an 81.6 percent screen to body ratio compared to a screen to body ratio of 89.9 percent with the s20 ultra and one other thing that I did want to mention as well. Is that with the a11 we're getting a refresh rate of 60 hertz, but the s20 ultra can actually do a refresh rate up to 120 hertz.

So that will give you a more smooth experience here when navigating around the phone, it's kind of hard to show on camera. But when you use the s20 ultra in person with the 120 hertz, you can certainly tell a difference, and it makes the phone feel a lot more premium. Now, as far as the display quality goes. Of course, I talked about the specifications, but the s20 ultra is definitely way better. We're getting a much crisper display here, definitely getting better colors and the a11 does have a good display, but it is certainly better, though, with the s20 ultra now, both devices do feature hole, punches for the front facing cameras, but the hole punch is a bit bigger with the a11 now, with the a11 we're getting an 8 megapixel front-facing camera compared to a 40 megapixel front-facing camera, with the s20 ultra with the a11, we're getting 32 gigabytes of internal storage and with the ash 20 ultra.

At least this base model we're getting 128 gigabytes, so we are getting four times the amount of internal storage with the ash20 ultra. Now, both phones do feature micro, SD card expansion, which is nice and with the a11, there's no wireless charging, but we do get wireless charging with the s20 ultra now with the a11, we do have a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device, and it's actually very fast and responsive and with the s20 ultra, we have an in-display fingerprint sensor, which is also very quick. Now. Both devices do also feature face, unlock, which is nice to have now. Taking a look at the cameras on these phones, there are similarities, but also differences.

So with the galaxy a11, we have a 13 megapixel main camera, a 5 megapixel ultra-wide angle, camera and a 2 megapixel depth. Sensing camera, whereas with the s20 ultra we're getting a 108, megapixel main camera, a 12 megapixel ultra-wide angle, camera a 0.3, megapixel depth, sensing camera and a 48 megapixel periscope camera, which gives us 10x, hybrid optical zoom. Now we also have space zoom here and basically, what space zoom is that that can go up to 100 x, but that uses both optical and digital zoom. To accomplish that, so we're certainly getting way more camera features when it comes to the s20 ultra. That's for sure, however, both phones do give us portrait mode with the front and rear.

So that is very nice. Here's how things look through the cameras on both phones with the standard camera right here, then we can switch over to the ultra-wide angle, camera and the ultra-wide camera with the s20 ultra does fit a bit more content into the frame and then with the s20 ultra. We can then switch over to that periscope camera, and then we have options here up to 100 x, so pretty extreme there, and you know it can come in handy for sure in certain situations- and it is a nice thing to have that's for sure, and then here's how things look with the front-facing cameras on both phones. Definitely a lot better here with the ash 20 ultra. Now it is a bit interesting that, with the ultra, we do have a smaller hole for the front-facing camera, despite this camera being significantly better compared to the a11.

Now internally, with the Samsung Galaxy a11 we're getting two gigabytes of ram and the Qualcomm snapdragon 450 compared to the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra, which has 12 gigabytes of ram and the Qualcomm snapdragon 865, so we're getting six times the amount of ram here with the ultra and also with the ultra we're getting 5g support and that's due to having the snapdragon 865. So if you do want a phone that supports 5g, you only have one option here out of the two now I did run a benchmark test with both phones- and here are the scores so certainly with the ultra we're getting a much better score, but with the a11 we're getting a score of 89650 with the s20 ultra we're getting a score of five: five: zero four, so the s20 ultra is one of the fastest phones out at the moment, and certainly the score appears to reflect upon that. But later on in the video we will be doing a side-by-side speed test comparison. So that will definitely give you another look at how these two devices compare speed wise now the Samsung Galaxy a11 can take video at up to 1080p, but with the Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra, we can actually take video with the rear camera at up to 8k at 24 fps and the front camera at up to 4k at 30fps. So that's a very big difference here and without a doubt, the s20 ultra is the better phone of the two when it comes to using it as a tool for content creation.

So if you are trying to make perfect quality videos for YouTube, for example, then you might want to go more. The route of the s20 ultra. However, for me personally, I'm using the Galaxy S10 if you can see it in the reflection- and I feel like that- works perfectly fine as well. So you don't really need, like the best phone camera out there to make YouTube videos, that's for sure now, with the galaxy a11 we're getting a 4 000 William hour internal battery with 15 watt fast charging and with the s20 ultra, we are getting a larger battery at 5 000 William hours with 45 watt fast charging. Now, in my opinion, the snapdragon 865 is a lot more power efficient, which is why, despite the s20 ultra being way more advanced, the battery doesn't have to be that much larger to still give you good battery life.

But now that we've talked about the specifications of these two phones, let's take a closer look at the hardware. It's already talked quite a bit about the front panels here. I am curious to know your thoughts about whether you prefer the hole punch for the front-facing camera to be situated on the left. Side like it is with the a11 or, if you like it in the center like it, is with the s20 ultra, or do you prefer for it to be on the right side like it is with the Galaxy S10, it seems like Samsung can't decide quite where they want that front-facing camera to be now, you can see on the bottom of the two phones, we're getting a way, thinner bottom bezel, with the s3 ultra compared to the a11. But despite all of that, I feel like the a11 is still a good-looking phone now build quality is a lot different.

With these two devices, I will say, though they both do feel very solid. So neither of these phones feel cheap, that's for sure, but with the galaxy a11, it's all plastic minus the display- and it's actually one giant piece of plastic here on the back, whereas with the s20 ultra, we have metal around the sides of the phone and then the back is glass. Now taking a look on the left side of the two devices with the a11, we have the slot for the micros card and sim card, then on the right side, with the power button and volume button and then on the top with the a11. We have the 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, and we have the noise-cancelling microphone and with the s20 ultra, we have the noise-cancelling microphone, and we have the slot for the micro, SD card and sim card. Then taking a look at the bottom of the two phones.

They both feature an USB c port for charging and data transfer. They both have the microphone and they both have the speaker. So the a11 is the only phone of the two that has a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. So if you want that feature, then you're going to have to go with the a11 now taking a look at the back side of the two phones, definitely with the s20 ultra we're getting a way larger camera module and then with the a11. We do have that fingerprint sensor on the back, but both phones do look nice.

I think they're both stylish in their own ways, so Samsung typically does very good job, in my opinion, with designing their phones to look aesthetically pleasing. Let's now do a speed test comparison between these two devices, so we're going to start by pulling up the camera app, so one two three go and way faster there at the s20 ultra. That's for sure. Let's now go to Google Chrome on both phones, one two three go and near instant with the s20 ultra. So a lot faster there, let's go to yahoo.

com one two three go and also a lot faster with the s20 ultra as well. Let's now go to end gadget. com123 go and faster there at the s20 ultra as well. You can also see here in this side by side how much better the picture looks. There, with the s20 ultra much brighter better viewing angles as well and really better in every way.

Let's do some scrolling there I mean you know the a11 still works, even though it has two gigs of ram. You know you can browse the web with no issues at all and then with the s20 ultra, it's super smooth. I mean this is a flagship experience right here, so very fast. Let's now go to this article, one two three go and also a lot faster there with the s20 ultra very cool. So in conclusion, is it worth spending the extra money on the s20 ultra? Well, the s20 ultra is better in pretty much every single way, so it really comes down to your budget and I suppose, how often you use your phone.

I mean. If you are someone that basically lives on your phone, then the s20 ultra might be worth it because you really are spending enough time with the device to justify the additional cost. But, on the other hand, you could buy quite a few a11s for the price of one s20 ultra or if you just buy one a11, then you'll have a bunch of leftover money to spend on other things like an entire computer, for example. So I'm really curious to know what you think about these two devices which direction you'd prefer and if you are considering the a11, is there anything that the s20 ultra has that you wish the a11 had I'm really curious to know, or are you completely satisfied with the a11? I know that for me personally, I do like the a11 quite a bit. I feel like it's a really solid budget phone and really does offer quite a bit for the money.

That's for sure I feel like as the prices go up and up and up the benefits you get go further and further down so, but anyway hope you enjoyed the video, give it a thumbs up. If you liked it, and I'll see you in the next one.
