iPhone SE (2020) REAL Battery Test + Who Should Buy it? The Truth! By Chigz Tech Reviews

What's up guys, chicks there from chicks tech reviews, so I guess you guys have already seen a bunch of iPhone SE videos. But the real question is what is the iPhone SE good for and who should buy it? And to answer this question, we need to first check out the positives and negatives. So, first, what is it good for? Well, it's compact, 4.7 inch display 7.3, millimeters thick and weighs only 148 grams. So that means it's easy to use with one hand, and you're less likely to drop it, and it will fit in any pocket without weighing you down. So what else is good? You got Apple's most powerful chip, the a13. The pricing is quite attractive.400 pounds for a brand-new iPhone model, which is very rare, you've got great cameras for photos and videos, and you can shoot 4k at 60 frames per second with optical image stabilization. You also get a fast touch ID and the very latest version of iOS, so those were kind of the main positives.

Now look at the negatives now the camera has no night mode at all. So, even though the processing chip can handle it, Apple decided that you are not getting night mode in the iPhone SE. Now the second and the most major negative is the battery life. You have around 1800 William hour battery, which is very small, but what actually affects the battery life? The most that is the question I've seen so many videos of people playing games and making the battery look a lot worse than it actually is this iPhone, although it has the power to play any game from the Apple App Store, it's definitely not designed as a gaming phone. You will not look at the iPhone SE and think to yourself.

I can't wait to pick that up and play some games on that tiny screen. So it's not ideal smartphone to play games in the first place. It's not been marketed as a gaming device. Instead, it actually looks like it's been marketed as an old-school device. So how does the battery life last in each scenario? Well, I ran multiple tests, starting with a full hundred percent battery, and I was able to play Call of Duty mobile for around two and a half hour before the battery got to 0% I, then charged back up to 100%, and I ran the next test, which was a 4k at 60 frames per second camera test, and I was able to shoot 1 hour and 50 minutes of video before the phone died on me now.

The next test I did was navigation software, so you can use GPS software like Waze, and that lasted me around 5 hours of constant use. Now the best performer from the bunch was watching. YouTube I actually achieved nearly 9 hours of non-stop YouTube on a full charge and the only test that could beat that was playing music, so I played music on speaker on medium volume, and I was able to play music non-stop for 36 hours now. I also did a fast charge test, so I used the fast charger that came with my iPhone 11 Pro max and after 30 minutes, the iPhone SE was at 57%, but the total charge time to get to 100% was 1 hour and 47 minutes, so nearly 2 hours to charge that tiny, 1900 William hour battery, so I wasn't too impressed with the fast charging capabilities of this phone, so very interesting results for the iPhone SE. It means, if you're considering to buy this smartphone.

You need to be someone who does not play games at all. You need to be someone who uses a camera, occasionally so pull out the SE snap, a few pics and videos, no problem, also someone who uses sat-nav software like ways to maybe commute to and from work, which is absolutely fine. Furthermore, if you're someone who likes watching videos online, then I have good news for you. You can watch videos all day long and the battery will not drain that the a13 is very well optimized for video playback now browsing the web will also not drain your battery. Sending text messages and WhatsApp is also not a problem, and video calls with WhatsApp and Skype is also not an issue, so the takeaway here is.

You need to put yourself in a different mind frame when using or considering the iPhone SE Apple has given us all the hints. The design is old so straight away. It should appeal to the generation of people who might be still using the iPhone 6, the iPhone, 7 or older. It's a gesture of goodwill from Apple to these old iPhone users, an affordable upgrade just for those guys now. The main reason for that is probably not just the price.

It's the fact that it looks familiar to them, so the same old school design that they used to plus spruced up colors, so you've got a very nice red white and black, so you're, getting power, features and camera for only 400 seems like fair play to me. Also, there are many people out there who rely on iOS as it's super, easy and user-friendly to use. Someone with no technical knowledge can pick up an iPhone and within a few minutes, will be able to do many things with it. You have your average consumer who plays games enjoys the latest and greatest tech, and then you have the modest consumer who nobody talks about a completely different category of people. This iPhone is brilliant, upgrade for the modest consumer.

The person who never plays games you get the best 813 power. Great camera compact smartphone, use with one hand great for watching videos, web browsing and video chatting now for us tech lovers. This smartphone ticks some boxes, but leaves you underwhelmed with the design and the battery department, but it looks like Apple's aim or something else with the iPhone SE. Apple is targeting the people who we teach, YouTubers, no longer think about so bottom line for 400 you get the most powerful iPhone chip in the world, a battery life that suits the lifestyle of a modest consumer and that will last them easily a full day. So, just for a day, I became a modest consumer, and I was able to achieve 9 hours and 17 minutes of on screen time doing the following: 5 hours of YouTube 2 hours of web browsing one hour of was, sapping 30 minutes of ways, GPS, navigating 15 minutes of shooting, 4k video and a handful of other tasks, including phone calls, and after that I still had a 15% battery left, so not bad at all.
