iPhone 7 vs iPhone 6S Plus vs iPhone 7 Plus vs iPhone 6: Battery Life Comparison/Battery Test By Brandon Butch

What's up guys, my name is Brandon, and today we'll be testing the battery life on the iPhone 7 and the 7 plus, and comparing it to that of the iPhone 6 and the 6s plus. Now when the iPhone 7 was announced, Apple claimed that the iPhone 7 battery will last an average of about two hours more than the 6s. They also mentioned that the iPhone 7 plus will last about one hour more and then the iPhone 6s plus. So let's go ahead and put those claims to the test. That's what the battery capacity of each phone, the iPhone 6, has an eighteen hundred and ten million power battery. The 6s plus has a twenty-seven, fifty iPhone 7 1960 and the iPhone 7 plus 2900, all four devices have cellular, turned off and will be running on the same Wi-Fi network.

All four also have Bluetooth, enabled brightness turned all the way up automatic downloads off, reduce motion on male push off and location services off. As for the age of the devices, the iPhone 6 is a couple of years old, so I definitely SPENT that to finish in last place, while the iPhone 6s, plus the 7 and the 7 plus, were all purchased less than a week ago. So for this test, we're going to be playing the same YouTube video on each device and keep them running until the battery completely dies before we get started. I do want to mention that the timing will be off on the devices as time goes on, due to the different ads being played on each video. So each video is going to get a different ad than the other device, or it could- and you know those ads can range from 30 seconds to you know up to 12 minutes.

So it's going to vary I just want to get that out of the way and mention that before you start alright, so let's go ahead and get started, Oh you! So there you have it guys. We now have the results, and they're pretty much exactly what I expected, but it's really cool to be able to put an exact figure with the battery life. I couldn't do that before, and it's really cool to put it to the test. So the iPhone 6 got 4 hours and 14 minutes of battery life. The 6s plus got 4 hours and 55 minutes.

The iPhone 7 got 5 hours and 12 minutes and the 7 plus got 5 hours and 48 minutes now. Obviously, these results will vary as each person uses their device differently on a day-to-day basis. So this is just really an insightful test really just to see how long the battery would last the brightness turned all the way up and playing a video, so I hope you don't plan on watching YouTube videos for 6 hours straight, where the brightness turned up all the way.
