Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Still Good? - 2 MONTHS LATER!

Okay Samsung Galaxy tab, a7 two months later review video here now, if you're watching this video on Christmas day, merry Christmas to you and your family, and I appreciate you taking a second to watch this video now, if you're watching this on any other day, let's go ahead and jump into the video all right. So, as I mentioned, this is a two months update video on the Galaxy Tab, a7, along with the very well-known issue, surrounded the transferring of apps from the tablet to the SD card. Now, if you want more details about that issue, or just about this tablet, make sure to check out my full review video on the channel, I'm going I'm going to go ahead and put the links in the description there for you to get to them, but anyways design. That's only been two months, so I should imagine it's been holding up just fine! You have that same metallic back. There that's been very solid over the past two months, so no scratches no dents, no dings. Anything like that on the back.

The front also is not covered with a screen protector, but I still don't have any scratches on that now. I also have to add that this particular tablet. I don't use it as much as I do all of my other tablets, but still I use it often enough to be able to give you an update after using it for two months and with that being said, it's been nice using a wider tablet display. You know, although it doesn't make a huge like a gigantic difference from the original tab, a 10.1. Now this one does stand at 10.4 inch and the resolution here is 1200 by 2000. Now a couple of people have said that on that display they tend to get kind of like a greenish hue or like an orange hue.

I've gotten some comments saying that they get kind of like a slightly different color, where this place is kind of leaning towards that color. Now, in my case, I've been getting more of a bluish hue like the majority of people, because the color on this tablet seems to lean more towards kind of like a cool side, look they're cooler compared to any of my other tablets that I have here, which tend to be. You know, kind of on the warmer side, oh by the way. This is the time that I take here to see if this is your first time to the channel first time visiting channel. Welcome, of course, if you like the content so far, please do me a huge favor hit, both the like and the subscribe button there.

It's a tremendous help to the channel here, and I truly appreciate your support here. Now it's been nice using it to watch videos and things like that, no matter, the type of display that this is it has been pretty nice for videos and other entertainment types of media and having a headphone jack here has been actually very useful, and you may know this because I've said this in some of my videos before you know I prefer devices that have a headphone jack right. So but anyways, that's just me personally, I know you could kind of go around that with devices that don't have it and use kind of like a dongle to do. I just don't like using docker. I just like when you have the headphone jack there to just plug that in directly but anyways.

My favorite thing about this tablet has, you know, is still the speakers right. You get quad speaker, you kind of like that. Quad speaker look now they're not tuned by AKG, but they sound, really nice they're pretty loud and the sound may not be as full as you know, something that was tuned by AKG, but I just like the fact that they are really nice and because of that volume. What I do sometimes is, I would just you know, put YouTube on there and then put stop playing music videos on YouTube and just have that sit in the background somewhere. So it's kind of like using it as a portable speak, not a speaker.

This portable speaker, I guess a portable speaker with a screen on it. So it's been very nice to use it that way. Now. You may also be familiar with the specs on this tablet already. This is the base unit, and you have android 10 here with one UI sitting on it.

It's running a snapdragon 662, and it is also loaded with three gigs of ram and so far it's been handling multitasking at pretty decent speed. Right now granted I have encountered some crashes, especially if I'm playing like, let's say a video, and I have a few games like Call of Duty or PUBG. You know heavy games in the back or heavy apps all over the place, and I'm trying to toggle and try to like do split screen. Do a bunch of things, not necessarily because that's the way I use a tablet, but just to test out the limit of this tablet, then it would crash you know, or it would lag. But with that being said, it's not a productivity tablet right.

So you don't really expect it to act like a productivity tablet, so it has decent speed. So these are pretty much decent specs that offer you decent performance and this same base model does come with 32 gigs of internal storage expandable at up to one terabyte via micro SD card. The reason I'm talking slow now is that this is where we stopped to talk about this issue affecting the app transfer from your device to the micro SD card. It just doesn't happen now you may be aware of it. You know there's been kind of a back and forth about this issue.

You know quite a few people suggesting things to try, but no one has come up and said: hey I've done this, and it has worked for me, no one. So the issue is still there now. It doesn't really stop me from doing other things, because I have quite a few tablets that I can just you know. I could just pick up one and start working on that, but I just wanted to see you know, get in touch with Samsung and really see what they're trying to do here. So guess what I called them now I called them and spoke the guy I talked to at first he wanted to go through some troubleshooting with me.

He was asking me to restart the tablet reformat the SD card. He was asking me about the SD card and all that good stuff- and I told him- listen, I know all of that. I've done everything you're saying right now. I know one or two things, I'm not claiming that I'm an expert, but I know one or two things about tech, and I can tell you that none of this stuff has worked. Are you sure that this works? So he put me on hold for a couple of minutes, and then he came back, and he said.

Oh, you know he started claiming that he thought I was talking about a different tablet and that on the a7 it's no longer available, you can no longer transfer your apps to your SD card and blah blah blah. He told me that you can transfer everything else. You know photos pictures, you know videos and all that good stuff files, but that as far as the apps go, you can't transfer that if you're experiencing that same issue, which I'm pretty sure, if you have a tab, a7 you are experiencing call them and see what they say. I actually had a comment. Someone commented and said that he called them.

I actually pinned that comment on one of my most recent video on the tab. A7. He called them and they told him something. I guess they told him kind of the same thing. You know that it's not available or something like that, so you can go ahead and give them a call and see what they say.

They may come up with something either way it comes down to this. I personally think Samsung put this there to encourage people to go for the next tier. Like you know, 64 gigs, or to encourage you to. I don't know it just doesn't make any sense for them to block that ability to transfer your apps, because that's why most people would go get. You know the base version, because they know that the know you can expand that storage and be able to transfer your app.

So I'm thinking they did it on purpose. Now, don't quote me on that? I'm not saying that! That's exactly the re, that's exactly what they're doing, but it's very possible the way I see it but anyways. What do you think? Let me know in the comment section now other than that nothing new with this tablet. Really it hasn't slowed down on me. Yet you know it still performs pretty well at the same speed I would say from when I bought it.

It's still a decent speed and no complaints. So far, gaming is still playing at the same level so light to medium gaming. You know plays perfectly when you go towards those heavy games, whether it's Call of Duty or PUBG mobile things like that, you know it might slow down. You know Call of Duty, you can adjust kind of the graphics and be able to still enjoy that again. This was supposed to be kind of a short video, and I know I may have gone kind of like a rant there.

But how long are we yeah we? This is the video is getting longer but anyways. This is more of a quick update, hope you enjoyed this video again if you're watching this on Christmas. Merry Christmas again to you, I hope you found this informative. If you do call Samsung, let us know in the comment section what they say or what you did or, if you're going to return the tablet and go for something else, either way go enjoy your Christmas, hey by the way before you go, make sure that you like, if you're, not subscribed, make sure you subscribe. Of course, I'm going to catch you, the next video and up until then stay safe out there.
