Huawei M6 Gaming Tablet - Unboxing - Is it worthy of your Cash? By Sonic Love

Hi guys and welcome back to my channel sonic love in today's video we're going to be unboxing and taking a first look and impressions of the Huawei m6. Now this is been promoted as a gaming tablet. So I think it's a chip behind at the moment. I think it's, the caring 980, I think yep, the Karin 980 with PC cooling, so we'll get to see what this is all about, but first impressions the box is lovely. I don't know if you can see the reflected pattern on the box itself, which is really nice very nice. Furthermore, I like it, okay, so let's make sure that the camera is in view skis okay.

So here we have just a normal standard box. Nothing spectacular, nothing to write home about it's a box, but it's nice that they've got a lovely little pattern on it. So on opening we have the tablet itself. We've got a lovely little pull tab here at the top comes in a nice little package. Okay, so it tells you what's on their turbo mode power, sound sim card.

It's got it, it's not dual sim, but it's a micro sim. For, obviously you can use it as a phone, or you can put your SD card in and obviously put some cheeky ROMs on there. So that's quite nice. Actually, so on the side we have micro, SD card and sim card, the top. We have a speaker which is quite nice, a couple of microphones volume, power, turbo button, the bottom we have a second speaker and also charging port on the back.

We also have this very beautiful. I don't know if that's coming across that you can see it in the light pretty much like the box itself, but obviously a lot better. But it's got a lovely patterned. It's got a sticker on there. You know what I'm like with my stickers.

I don't really want them on there. One sticker off two sticker off nice. Give it a little rub nice. This thing is lovely. I absolutely love it.

First, impressions really nice. So, as you can see, it's not a huge tablet, guys it's um. I know there's a lot of people out there that think that you know the likes of the iPad Pro 12.9 inch. Then you've got the new Samsung. They are just a little too big to actually hold in the hand, especially to play games, and, if you, if you, if you like playing games for a little while like more than an hour, then it's it can be quite tiresome on the wrists and obviously the fingers as well.

They can cramp up quite easily, which is never good. So, let's just set this aside just for the moment, comes with some stickers transport stickers. I think we have a little box here. So you get the sim tray ejector, we got a booklet and leaflets. Never read them comes with a adapter for your headphones, which is nice.

Obviously it doesn't come with one, but you get an adapter anyway. It also has the charging cable pretty much as standard I'll check, that we got the power brick, because it's from our good friends from China we're going to pack this one in normal standard charging, brick first impressions guys it looks really nice, it's a nice size. Looking really nice, I will boast off some specs, and then we'll get into some powers of YouTube and, let's add some emulators native android gaming, and then, let's see what the screen looks like, I will see you in a moment hello and welcome back the good old powers of YouTube. So just let me read over the specs guys. I know you guys are just spec heavy, so it's an 8.4, 2 560 x, pixels. It's got a 13 megapixel camera 1080p.

It's got six gigs of ram. Furthermore, it is the Karim 980 chips that is powering this beauty. Furthermore, it's an IPS LCD touch panel with 16 million colors, really nice beautiful display. Furthermore, it's got, android 9 pie, PewDiePie, and it is emu 9.1. Furthermore, it's got the key room, 980, seven nanometer chipsets! Furthermore, it's got an OCTA core at two times two point: six gigahertz cortex a76 and two times: 1.9 gigahertz cortex, a 76 and a four times: 1.8 gigahertz cortex, a 55. The GPU is a Mali g76 mp10.

It does contain a micro SD slot. It has 128 gigs of internal memory and 8 gigs of ram it's a little powerhouse. Now I do believe there is a new key room chip chipset. I think it's, the Karim 990, I think in the latest flagship models. This was released on September 2019, and you can roughly get it for about 300 anywhere between 300, pound and 350.

I have seen them go up to 400 for 399, but if you shop around and look around, you can get it for a minimum of 350. I'd say your best bet is, but you can't get them for 300. Furthermore, I have seen them. As you can see. The display looks absolutely gorgeous it's very vivid, it's really nice.

Now there is a downside to this system and it is only yeah. It's its. It's only a dealbreaker if you're not willing to do a workaround. So unfortunately, this doesn't have any access to the Google Play Store. You can side load applications if needs be, and there is a work around out there, where you can literally yeah.

Add the Google Play Store to this. I will be working on that over the next couple of days, and then I'll do a video on that. If you wish to see it, let me know in the comments guys and then obviously I will do a video on that which will then give you full access to the Google play, store and lots of other stuff. So what we're going to briefly do? Am I've only managed to put on PSP and dolphin emulator we're going to play a little of asphalt, 9 so a bit of native gaming, and then we're gonna, try out uh, median, melee, bang, so we're going to see and what we're going to use guys I'll tell you what is really nice? Obviously, you've got the Apple Pencil 2, with the iPad Pro 12.9 inch. You have the s pen for the Samsung tab, s7, which I've also reviewed on this channel, but I now have this little beauty now, normally predominantly if you use a stylus or if you get a stylus, they're, normally horrible, but I've seen this for 17 pounds, don't know how good that is.

I haven't tested it out yet, but we'll test it for the first time here today I have charged if it's Bluetooth, so you just turn on. As you can see by the little LED light, you charge it through the end there, and then you can, actually. Hopefully this should work. Yep there we go. Can we go into an app yep there we go? Can we swipe twice yep there we go so yeah? It works quite well, actually to be honest, yeah really nice, but be interesting to see how it handles median with drawing applications.

Interesting. Okay. So for the purposes of the video guys, I am going to be using a controller. My controller of choice is going to be my Xbox One controller, which I am about to set up now, so we will go to, and we will go to Bluetooth on Xbox wireless controller pairing that was effortless. I like that swipe out of it.

Okay, so we're going to use turbo mode guys, so I am going to flick the switch for turbo mode. What this does? It stops any type of activity in the background, so the CPU and GPU will solely only use for gaming, nothing exciting. So it puts you into something called game space and once you're in there, as you can see it kind of, brings up everything game related. So it's brought up the PSP asphalt, 9, dolphin emulator and PSP gold. So let's kick things off with a bit of PlayStation emulation.

So I'm going to go into settings, I'm going to use Vulcan backend, I'm going to go to resolution times.10! Yes, you've seen that right times, 10 reference, the same, I'm upscaled by times three filtering is 16 times no hacks on. Let's see how it performs. Let's turn the volume up a little welcome the king. I am get ready for the next battle sounds really nice. It does have dual speakers, so it is stereo, and it looks fantastic.

I've absolutely never used this before in my life, but we'll see what the script is. So I don't know, is there uh, and we're going to be testing out the new stylus anyway, we can make it full screen. Okay, let's see, there's definitely no pressure sensitivity. How do we choose their colors where's? The brush? That's the opacity I'll be the size of the brush itself. This is to erase quite simplified.

I don't know whether, yes, we can move the canvas around, which is nice. We can add layers. Ah, here we go, so we can choose, and we've got our color pickers here. Let's quickly, just do quick, sketch nothing exciting. Where was the opacity? This was the size.

This was the opacity. Let's go fifty percent with a bigger brush. I wonder if this is actually meant to go this way. Aha, now we have it. That is a lot better.

Okay, let me push this back a little more, so you can see okay. Now we get. Oh, that's a lot better. Okay, that's cool! So I'm going to draw a quick sketch of sonic, who else say who else? Probably thinking what are you doing? Sonic? Well, I like just to throw a few colors down on it, the same value but different shades. Okay.

So now we need to go a bit darker a little darker there do we have a smudgy brush, probably not maybe let's go with color picker. I like you, so we'll have you? Okay, that's actually quite nice, the transparency a bit more though um- I don't know if you can see guys, but I'm trying to just create the actual sphere itself. So I'm going to go here lower the no full opacity, it's very small, and then we can start to create nice sphere, not going to win any awards, but it's just testing it out to see if you can paint on this tablet- and I think you can okay so go back to colors- everything seems to be straightforward here. I like it, let's go with some darkness: okay, oh that's too big undo easy! So if you're gaming fans out there that will probably think what the hell's this sonic shut up. It's my channel do what I want.

No, it's um good 30 percent of my guys on my channel are fellow artists, hello, welcome, and it will be good for them to actually see. Not only can you game, but can you do a little of a sketch? Also, okay, don't really like using that just at the time being, okay, so let's go with blue first time in using this guys. So please bear with me uh, because I've never used it before right. How am I supposed to get the bloody gray all right? Okay, here we go here, we go! That is better okay. There must be an option to have it full screen, but in landscape mode.

I will test it out. Guys remember. This is literally the first time that I've used it so um, I wouldn't, I'd, say critter was better as a drawing app, but the problem is with drawing apps. You've just got to get used to it. That's the problem, but once you get used to it, then obviously it makes it a lot easier.

That's just saturation, not sure if I find it easier picking from the colors itself and then choosing here. Hmm, do this. Stylus isn't bad, you know guys. Excuse me, sorry, rumbling! Okay, I'm gonna, leave that there it's only a quick test, but, yes, you can draw also with median, okay, guys. First impression, I really like it.

I think, for a cheap tablet. Not only can it perform perfect with emulation, but you can obviously draw as well sketch on it 300 pound guys it's an absolute bargain. In my eyes, as I say, I will do another video on how to get google apps side loaded onto it. So you can have full access to google play store, love to know what you think guys don't laugh at my drawing. It was a literally a five to ten minute sketch yeah and I just wanted to test out yeah.

If you want to see an actual video on me, drawing with this a full painting with this stylus, it's not bad 17 pounds. It was guys, I'm I'm quite impressed with it. Actually, it's really, really nice. I wonder if we just top to turn it off. Yep just have to turn it off.

So this is the Huawei m6. I hope that I've covered it enough.
