iPhone 7 vs iPhone 11 Speed Test!

iPhone 7 vs. iPhone 11 speed test coming up right. Now, let's go, so what is up guys Nick here, helping you to master your technology and welcome back to the channel? Let's begin with a boot up test between these two and three two one and see which one can get there now. This is 2016 Apple 810 fusion chip over here with two gigabytes of RAM, and we have doubled the RAM at four gigabytes for the iPhone 11 and Apple's 813 Bionic chip sets. So let's see how they do by comparison. Just so, you know everyday stuff.

Turning on her phone Oh buddy, some applications may be running through some applications. Some video rendering you could see right there that we have a winner to the iPhone 7 in the boot up and seems to happen quite a bit. Sometimes just booting up this older phone just boot up first over the iPhone 11, pretty strange, okay, so quickly confirming the software, the iPhone 7s on iOS 13 point one point: two: as is the iPhone 11 right there. Those are the official versions available to the public right now, ok, guys so for iPhone.7 touch IDs actually got a little faster, but it's not directly comparable to the face ID on the iPhone 11 because it doesn't have face ID. So really it's down to those two so which one is actually faster, I think they're pretty similar.

It's just down to that. Swipe versus you know the touch, so you could probably pull out the iPhone 7 out of your pocket a little faster, we're not even looking at the phone and be unlocked, so the experience and convenience of touch ID might be a little higher, but the face ID is more secure, so that can really play into you enjoying that a little more here, maybe for the 11. Okay, so I got the same applications lined up here, let's go through them daily stuff and see which one is a little faster. So you can see right there, iPhone 11 closed out, let's go in the clock, and you could see that was slightly to the 11. Let's go on a calculator three two one, and you can see slightly on the animation the to the iPhone 11, let's go into settings, and you can see again to the 11 slightly now.

The actual gesture of going back is a lot smoother feeling, but still some people really still love their touch ID. So let's go into you app store, and can see. App Store is first for the iPhone 11, so incremental performance improvements so far and just everyday applications, let's go on an Amazon and you can see. Amazon is first there for the iPhone 11, let's go into you Pandora, and you see that pops open there on the eleven, so good sign so far for the 11, let's go into prime video, and you can see prime video. Yes, that was pretty close.

I couldn't even see that. Well, let me know which one that one down below might have been a draw: let's go into Snapchat, and you can see. Snapchat is first air for iPhone 11, let's go into you. YouTube and YouTube is first there for iPhone 11 as well. It's going to the trending tab and pretty similar, so you could see, there's almost not a big deal of difference that goes to show how well Apple has optimized iOS 13 for the older iPhone, and you see iPhone 11 had that one.

It had a pop-up, but it was first over the iPhone 7. Let's go into you, Best Buy and you could see. Best Buy is first here Frey phone 11, just barely it was just barely. You have to see it in point 5x, maybe the scenes, let's continue on with Temple Run 3 to 1 and see which one could load this casual game first, and you see that looks like the iPhone 11 was slightly ahead there. Let's go into the next game right here, three two one as it should be and as more games become more developed for the iPhone, 11 processors, I'm, sure it's gonna, open things and run things a little smoother.

But, what's really impressive is that this mm and I think it's 16 phone right here, the iPhone 7, which was one of the most popular sold iPhones last year, even though it wasn't the latest. It's still performing like an absolute champ, it's very impressive to see that if you're on this older iPhone you're good to go, you really are: let's go into the next game. Three to one, that's not to say, don't get the iPhone 11, that's just to say that you're good to go! Let's go and hit play here. Look like the seven had that one loaded but which one he actually gets into the game first and looks like the Elevens a little ahead, we'll see here in a minute which one actually gets into the game, but the seven started to load it first, and you can see not a great deal of difference here. You know the eleven ones a little faster there, but I'm sure when it comes to the newer games like Call of Duty, and things like that, having the more powerful, GPU and CPU is definitely going to benefit you for the iPhone 11, but based on the speed test alone, I'm, calling it a win to the 11, but incrementally, so it's just very slightly faster and just your everyday stuff, but one area where you absolutely feel that the iPhone 11 is a little faster.

This also goes for things like the 10r NE 10 series phone is that the gestures is give you the perception, but the phone is actually snapping through things a little faster and that's because there's no physical press, which gives you a little of a time delay, because if we hit the App Store, for example, here I actually have to physically press that button, so that just feels slower than gestures. But let's go ahead and run through the applications to see if we do get any reloads here for each device. So we had those games paused and that's where we were in thumped run. You could just see me trying to press that button just a little slower than gestures, and you can see YouTube, let's see if YouTube had to reload. No, it didn't.

Let's go into Snapchat time, video everything good to go, Pandora and Amazon good to go app store so for two gigabytes of RAM, the iPhone 7 settings reloaded the iPhone 7 is not really that bad. Actually, as you get more applications, it might get a little slower, but still not bad at all there for 2019, let's go into the iPhone 11. If that phone did that well, I'm sure that the iPhone 11th going to be just fine, you see Best Buy, a slight reload that was strange, and then you could see YouTube it's going to Snapchat. Prime video is good to go, and it just feels a lot smoother here for the iPhone 11. It really does like the perception of smooth here is just unreal on the iPhone 11 versus the iPhone 7, so iPhone 7 seem to have reloaded settings and I think it was Best Buy here on this one, what a piece so the four gigabytes of RAM, maybe not until you're, doing a lot more things.

It's gonna really come into play because, based on just our simple everyday applications going between apps you're, not really even going to notice that you have more RAM on to the iPhone 11 and because these phones don't really multitask, they don't really take advantage of that Ram. So, what's more of a bigger deal is getting the bigger display, the design, maybe the cameras, definitely more of a bigger deal than maybe the RAM and the speed yours you're, seeing here in this video, but you don't have to feel like if you're upgrading from your seven that you're not getting an upgrade in that performance department, you are, it's gonna hold up longer over time. Okay, so both of these do have a 4k 30 frames. A second clip in here, and I'm going to go ahead and start in one. Second, so I'm going to go ahead and render them out at 4k here for both iPhones and iMovie.

We're going to hit, save video, and then we're going to hit save video. Here you can see 4k options on both three two and one and see which one can export this video first I will speed it up till we get to the final results. So you see the iPhone 11 far in the lead over the iPhone 7, and this lead will only grow as the video gets larger. So this test really does show the power of iPhone 11 significantly faster when it comes to your heavier tasks like video, rendering, so I'm quickly, going to run a Geek bench 5 benchmark to see which one does produce the better score in three two one, and I'll be back when they are done. Okay, so the final Geek bench 5 scores are in, and you could see that the iPhone 11 score is almost the same on the single core as the iPhone sevens multi-core, and it's an absolute crushing win for the multi-core.

So, technically speaking, the 11 definitely a lot more powerful, but you have seen in this video, but that wouldn't necessarily indicate real-world differences in performance. I've noticed day to day the really only big thing I'm noticing in the performance differences is the gestures feel a lot smoother than the iPhone 7, but when it comes to opening applications, those don't really feel that much different, because you know iOS is a pretty optimized software, so even if you're using an older iPhone, it's pretty similar. So if you are going to upgrade, though you do have a lot to look forward to you have yes, the thicker phone. That probably wasn't the best example, but you do have wireless charging in here. You do have great battery lifeway improved over the iPhone 7.

You also have way better cameras on the iPhone 11 and the processor is technically faster. So over the long term you are gonna, have better performance. So I think it's time if you have an iPhone 7 to potentially think about upgrading, but it's not like, if you hold on to for one more year what iOS 13 that you're going to be like unusable phone, it's going to be very usable. If you just wanted to wait, till Apple potentially removes the notch next year. So anyway, that's it for me, if you guys found this video helpful, entertaining and forming click that like button for me, if you're new here consider subscribing for more Nick care up- and you know Messier technology.

Thank you very much for watching be sure to be well and peace.
