iPhone 12 Pro Max Vs iPhone 11 Pro Max! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone time to do another comparison and a brand new one, and my first one actually between the newly released iPhone 12 Pro max and the somewhat older, iPhone 11 Pro max now, the 11 pro max has been out for over a year now, and what I can tell you is that it's still a great phone for the most part- and I was just messing with it today, and I'm actually really surprised by how well the 11 pro max has held up now. The 12 pro max cost me 10.99 to pick up brand new, the 11 pro max cost me. I can't even get these things right today. The 11 pro max cost me, I think, around 650 to pick this specific model up, so do with that information. As you will, I will find the cheapest ones of both of these link them down in the description you can get them from there and help support the channel. At the same time now side by side, I was pretty much able to see that the 12 pro max is bigger.

I think in every dimension, you do have the flat sides. Now, on the 12 pro max, but honestly, the 12 pro max feels noticeably bigger in the hand, and I just feel like it's. You know a little trickier to hold because of the. I guess it's thinner than the 12 than 11 pro max, but it doesn't feel like it because it feels thicker with the 11 pro max with the curved sides. I feel like.

Furthermore, I can grip this one better in my hand with the 12 pro max. It feels noticeably bigger, even though it's supposed to be someone in the same size. Now on the front of the 11 pro max, we had that 6.5 inch super retina MTR OLED panel. It was you know, a really decent resolution too. Now there wasn't like a huge high refresh rate or anything, but the 12 pro max doesn't have it either.

So, there's no point talking about it and as of last year it was a perfect panel and even now, it's still a pretty decent panel, and I'm using a 12 pro right now. But I kind of want to go back to the 11 pro max because of how good this phone feels in the hand- and you know you have the notch up top, which all other iPhones still do so for sure the 11 pro max had a really, really good panel, but now with the 12 pro max, it has gone up a little in terms of the size. So now we have that 6.7 inch, super retina Dr OLED panel, and it's a little higher resolution. But honestly, looking at both, I don't think one is way better than the other one. They look about the same, and I will even tell you that if you have the 11 pro max, the panel itself is probably exactly the same.

Maybe apple said it was better or worse. I don't know. Obviously they didn't say it was worse, but it kind of seems to me that they are roughly about the same, and I wouldn't go from one panel to the other just based off the way they look by any means, in my opinion, now in terms of the thickness, as someone stated before you know, the 12 pro max, I think, is supposed to be thinner or something like I don't know, it definitely doesn't feel thinner. The 12 pro max definitely feels like a way bigger phone, and I told people before if you just are kind of okay with using 11 pro max, like it's still big, but you kind of are okay with it. The 12 pro max is going to be a bit of a bigger curve.

I think when I saw the keynote and everything didn't seem that big of a difference, but now it definitely is when I'm holding them both, and it's definitely heavier too and on the back triple camera setups on both with the LIDAR sensor, frosted glass packs on both with wireless charging- and I said this before. I think the frosted back feels better on the 12 11 pro max than on the 12 pro max. So in terms of the outside that pretty much covers it up IP certification. The certification is better on the 12 pro max, but they're both pretty good, and that really pretty much covers it up. A big thing, though, is that you are getting twice the amount of base storage on the 12 pro max 128 gigs here versus the 64 gigs here.

So that's kind of a big deal to some people, I'm sure in terms of the software they're, both running iOS 14 right now, realistically, longevity wise, the 12 pro max is going to be lasting at least a year longer than the 11 pro max. So definitely keep that in mind. If you're trying to get a phone, that's going to last the longest amount of time. The 12 for max is probably the one for you, but the 11 pro max is still going to be lasting for an extremely long amount of time. It's not like it's going to be unsupported or outdated tomorrow by any means.

So for sure both these are still great. The 12 pro max is going to probably end at like 2026, where this one ends at 2025 or something like that, like it's crazy, huge numbers, so I wouldn't even worry about it as of right now. So in terms of that that pretty much covers it up, let's go and do a little of a speed comparison between these two now the iPhone 11 Pro max has that Apple A13 chip inside it with four gigabytes of ram the iPhone 12 Pro max on the other end, has that Apple A14 bionic chip inside it with six gigabytes of ram. So let's go and see which one is the faster one between both of these and these phones are so big, it's crazy, but let's go and swipe out all the apps they're pretty much already done. Let's go and load up phone calls three two ones.

Okay, both were about the same safari. Let's go and load up, you know apple or google, or something like that. Three two one and I guess the 12 pro max was faster. This phone was a little slower than the 11 pro max is on the left by the way music, three two one, probably gonna, glitch out on both probably well. Actually, I think it was so fast on the 12 pro max 11 pro max shortly behind it.

That was a pretty big difference. App store three two one and I think the 12 pro max was a little faster there. I was kind of looked away for a second now, let's always have a bunch of these third-party apps. Let's go and do paper Io two three, two one and then twelve pro max slightly ahead getting into some gameplay. I honestly don't think you're going to.

Actually I don't know, maybe the 11 pro max seems a little and they both look about the same. I don't really think there's that big of a difference swiping out, though I was able to kind of see that they both look kind of the same there too. Not a big difference stack three two one and the 12 pro max was definitely faster. There Instagram three, two one, and definitely it was like superfast here. The eleven pro max- I didn't even know I was logged in there, so temple run two three two one and, as you can see, the 12 pro max, I think, is slightly faster, but it's really not that crazy of a difference they're both kind of the same.

About being completely honest, as you can see, this one was slightly ahead, but they both where neck and neck. Like I think the performance for this one I mean I don't know, I don't want to speak too soon, but gameplay-wise they're going to be probably around the same, not a ginormous difference by any means, and I wish these phones didn't slide everywhere before three, two one and again 12 pro max faster 11, pro max literally right behind it. Dropbox 321 twelve for max was like almost instantaneous, Quizlet three two one again, twelve pro max faster, eleven pro max a little behind Netflix, three, two one, twelve pro max again just slightly faster. This is just like barely faster than that 11 pro max snake versus block 321, and I think it's going to be the same thing here too, probably and again, 12 pro max is faster getting into some gameplay, though, let's see if they glitch up at all- and I really don't think they are both very, very basic games for the most part, but it does glitch up. Sometimes, let's do fruit ninja three two one, and it is looking like the 12 pro max- is probably the faster one, as you saw, but again it's like just right.

You know just right behind the eleven pro maxes twitter, three two one Toronto promise a little faster, Facebook, three two one again faster just by a little, Snapchat three, two one and again total pro max is faster. Let's send it off with the real racing three two one, and this is a pretty big game. But again, whichever one finishes up sooner, I think I already have a pretty good understanding of which one's going to be the faster one potentially, but I'm not going to say it because it's probably going to be wrong. Nope 11 pro max is a little slower than the 12 pro max for sure, and what I can tell you are that in this case, and probably all cases for the future, the 12 pro max is the faster phone right. It was pretty much faster and you guys are seeing it just like how I saw it.

It was faster than the 11 pro max, but you have to ask yourself how much faster ram measurement might be better too, but how much faster was it? Furthermore, it really wasn't that much faster than the iPhone 11 Pro max. It was definitely faster. I'm not saying it's not for sure it wasn't like a crazy amount. The ram management that was definitely better on the 12 pro max. I'm definitely seeing a big improvement there, though, but the speed comparison, even though the 12 pro max was the faster one.

Each time it really wasn't that crazy of a difference. If I'm being honest now, as you can see, the 11 pro max is horrible in red management. I don't know what's going on with that. It's closed out of like every single app, even phones like the iPhone 8 didn't even close out of every single app. I don't think I'm gonna kept that one again but yeah.

I would definitely tell you in terms of the speed the 12 pro max is faster ram management is going to be faster too, but if you don't have a problem with ram management, then I would say for sure you know, keep your 11 pro max, but I would say going from the 11 pro max to the 12 pro max. The ram management is a bigger difference, in my opinion, than the speed itself. So in terms of that, that pretty much covers it up I'll do a full speed comparison. Hopefully at some point on this channel. My second one: let's go ahead on the cameras now also do a full camera comparison at some point: triple camera setups on both 12 megapixel y 12, megapixel, right, 12, megapixel telephoto on both camera lenses.

But we do have that LIDAR sensor on the 12 pro max in terms of the UIs. You will basically be able to see that they have the same exact features: they have 4k 60 on the back camera 4k60 on the front camera no 8k on both of these phones' no 4k at 120 frames, if you even care about that, and the real advantage of the 12 pro max is probably the LIDAR sensor. I think, in terms of the camera you're really not going to see any crazy features that this phone has that this one doesn't besides the LIDAR sensor now on the 12. Now the 11 pro max. I've had a perfect experience with this camera as well.

I've had really, really good photos taken on this thing, even with my 12 pro and 11 pro. Both are very, very close. You know when I did that speed, comparison and camera comparison. So it's good that you have the telephoto, it's good. You have that ultrawide sensor.

So, honestly, don't think a lot of people are going to care either way to be completely honest, but I would definitely say you know it's kind of not even a given the 12 pro max is probably going to be the better camera. Overall, it's going to get you better photos, better videos, probably, but as I've said before, I don't know why this is so blurry but, as I've said before, you're really not going to be noticing anything super crazy between them. Two like finding one to be way better than the other one. Now I don't know what's going on with the white, so blurry or whatever, but hopefully it fixes itself by the time. I do a full camera comparison at some point, but anytime, I know, took photos on my 12 12 pro.

They were perfect photos, but when you're, comparing them to just something that just got released last generation you're not really going to find that big of a difference as if there was an increase in resolution like going from the 10s to the 12 pro or the 11. Pro was a big difference because you know you're getting 4k at 60 on the front camera, but these two there wasn't really that big of a difference, if I'm being completely honest, so I'll, go and test it further and drop a full one at some point, but so far I didn't really see too many big differences. Now ending it off with the battery life. The iPhone 11 Pro max has a bigger battery size than the 12 pro max, which is so sad. I don't know why they did that the 11 pro max has a 3 969 million power battery pretty much a 4 000 William hour battery.

The iPhone 12 Pro max has a 3 687 William hour battery, so you're definitely getting a bigger battery. I would say on the 12 pro on the 11 pro max, but on top of that, and I'll probably test this, and it's probably not going to be right. The 12 pro for now is probably going to be better, but longevity wise, the 11 pro max, is going to get you better battery life, but here's the more important thing: there's no 5g on the 11 pro max and that's kind of a problem, but that's also kind of like a feature for the battery. It's that's a pretty big. You know battery sucking feature and with something like the iPhone 12 Pro max with it.

Having 5g on you can turn it off and stuff, but I'm sure not a lot of people are going to do that. You're, probably going to have weirder battery life on the 12 pro max. In my opinion, with it having a bigger display higher resolution displaying a smaller battery, it really doesn't make any sense to me so battery life, probably better on the 11 pro max, but to kind of sum up this video and to answer the question which phone? Should you pick up the 11 pro max the 12 pro max? What I can tell you is, first, there's pros and cons for both the 11 pro max, you know, doesn't cost what it costed. When it first came out. You know you can pick these things up for, like I said, 600 700, even 800 dollars, that's still a pretty decent value for this specific phone you're.

Getting a great camera great display amazing, build quality. It doesn't feel like a cheap phone at all. You know what the screen is almost exactly the same as the 12 pro max. It's just a little bigger on the 12 pro max. Some people on this type of size on the 12 pro max may not like the flat sides for this type of build quality.

For how big it is. I feel like it's a little easier to hold on a smaller phone when it's bigger like this. It's just kind of it feels like a fab. It kind of feels like a tablet to be honest and the 11 pro max's performance was just speed. Wise was a little behind of the 12 pro max.

It wasn't like. It was a humongous difference by any means, and it's definitely still a fast phone. It looks great. Furthermore, it feels good like there's nothing, that's wrong with this phone at all and in some ways it's like a downside, you're getting better battery life and a bigger battery on these little on the 11 pro max, which is another big deal, but the 12 pro max. You know, I would say, is the better phone in some areas, you're getting longer software support, I guess better cameras, but I just have to say that it's not even really that much better, I'm assuming the flat sides.

If some people like that, I guess that's cool twice the amount of bass, storage, faster performance, better ram, it's not even that much faster, but the better ram is something that's really cool the ram management with the two extra gigs and the software enhancements. I'm sure it did add a lot more. I guess character to the overall phone, which is very, very important when you have a phone like the 12 pro max it's more expensive, but you're getting. Furthermore, I guess, a newer phone software. Longevity is there for the 12 pro max as well, but I still think like if you have the 11 pro money, if the 12 pro max was a 10 out of 10, the 11 pro max is like a 9.7 out of 10 like it's extremely close. The only thing is missing is like a lighter sensor, the ram, maybe a little, and also like soft for longevity in the future, but other than that.

These two are almost exactly the same phones. It's just not really like a crazy cool feature that the 12 pro max has that I would go from an 11 pro max to this phone by any even the flat sides. I kind of feel like for this phone, it's kind of like a disadvantage in my opinion, but that's kind of what I have to say. If you guys have any other questions or anything.
