Hello everyone it's Bernard here I did recently a battery test between iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 11 and after surprising results. Many of you asked to repeat it with fresh iPhone SE. So here I am listening to you guys and, as you can see, both phones have 100 maximum battery capacity. Both are brand new and fully charged. I set both phones to maximum brightness connected them to the same Wi-Fi and turn the airplane mode on, because I didn't have spare sim for the SE. Giving this video a like and subscribing will help me tremendously and allow me to improve in the future.
Meanwhile, you have a chance to support a small channel. Previously iPhone 12 mainly surprised us all, and at this time it already pulls ahead of iPhone. Se 12 mini actually has pretty impressive battery life for its size. I think that many of us were expecting bad battery performance after all, the reviewers complaining on it, but we have to remember that weaker battery life isn't the same as weak battery life, iPhone, 12, 12, pro max or some high end, android flagships. Like note, 20 ultra have better battery, but they are almost twice as expensive and much, much bigger, and they are not.
The majority of the market people buying, 12 mini, are usually moving from older iPhones, like 6s 7, 8 10r and from those the battery on 12 mini will feel great. As we can see, the iPhone 12 mini increases its lead in among us thanks to the a14, cheap and OLED screen for the test. I use the apps that I find to drain my battery most either because of how much I use them like YouTube or Instagram, or because they are very battery demanding like GPS or camera. We can also see screen difference here in displayed content. They have identical width, but 12 mini has extra screened estate at top and the bottom, which allows it to display more content.
As we can see, the iPhone 12 mini already pulled ahead over 20 percent, so I decided to throw in the temple run because well, it kind of runs on the loop and should be really demanding for the battery as a 3d game. Okay, so after some temple run, I also left both phones on the home screen. I also opened the camera because I find it to be the most battery demanding on any phone and, as we can see already, SE is below 20 percent for some time and opened new documenting pages, because white page should be better for iPhone SE than mini, and finally, the GPS as a nail to the coffin for SE. Apparently, as you can see here already, the s is about to die NTS at about five hour mark, but remember it's still not bad. It actually lasted 5 hours of continuous, max brightness, running games, camera GPS, all very demanding tasks and really going through them.
Se has decent battery life for everyday use, maybe not so much for gaming. It's just 12 minutes really great for its size. It's actually smaller phone in all dimensions with bigger screen and still a better battery life by the way check. The links in my description for some good screen protectors for that great big screen. Remember ceramic shield doesn't help against scratches that super efficient a14 really allows 12 mini to shine in high performance tasks like games and OLED that lets you save battery for every black pixel on the screen.
It really helps it go on at this point, I repeat the same apps as previously, and I really think you shouldn't feel the battery on that mini. It's not selling point maybe, but it really is an all-day battery for most people, and it's the cheapest of the new iPhones too. I also did a 4k export in iMovie to drain the battery even more and the GPS is still running in the background from the previous tasks now alongside Metallica and the test isn't done yet after week, with this phone and two battery drains tests well above seven hours, I can really recommend this phone now, and we'll do review it on soon, as well as my tips on how to improve battery life on iPhone 12 mini so subscribe. For that, meanwhile, iPhone 12 mini finishes with over 8 hours. Wow.
You can see the battery status from the settings and I have to say it's pretty impressive. Anyway. Thanks for watching and subscribing and hopefully see you guys in the next one cheers you.
