iPhone 11 Pro Max - Great Phone, Don't Buy It.

What is going on everyone. My name is Jason, and this is one month with the iPhone 11 Pro Max. So it's been a month since I got my hands on the most expensive version of the newest iPhone, the iPhone 11 Pro max to give context. This device starts at 1099 us and the max down version tops out at an insane fourteen hundred forty-nine dollars. Now it's not unusual for iPhones to have a premium when benchmarked against its competitors. A significant portion of the price tag is associated with brand power, there's no denying that, but that shouldn't take away from the fact that this is an amazing phone.

Everything from the craftsmanship, the user, experience to the execution of key features. The iPhone 11 Pro max delivers on all of these notes, and it's been a joy using the phone for the past month and in case you are thinking about picking one up for yourself wanted to go over in detail how my experience has been to really help break down whether the iPhone 11 Pro Max is worth it now before we get into the review, if you're into checking out the latest consumer tech products before you buy them or if you're, just a tech head like me, I make a video like this every single week, so make sure that you hit that subscribe button and turn on that doll icon. So you can be the first to know when a new jazz soul feels out, and you don't miss anything and real quick. If a friend asked you which new iPhone, they should pick up, which one would you recommend it? Why the iPhone 11 the iPhone 11 Pro or the iPhone 11 Pro Max curious to get your thoughts. Let me know what you guys are thinking in the comments down below okay.

First, let's talk about physical design and, let's start by talking about this midnight green version truth be told. I originally picked up the silver iPhone 11 Pro max as I wasn't exactly sold on Apple's new color, but oddly enough I had to exchange the silver one the next day, because there was a scratch on the display and for some reason, I decided to go with midnight green at the last minute, then I'm glad I did because this color has really grown on me. The dark military green hue gives the phone a bit of an edge, but it's still super sleek and sophisticated, especially when paired with a beautifully polished, dark stainless steel frame. Now this is the first time that Apple implemented this frosted matte glass design on the back panel, and it's quickly become one of my favorite Apple design choices. The fingerprint repellent matte finish of the glass is a welcome change of pace in terms of bill material, and it contrasts really well with a polished, stainless steel that wraps on the phones, border and look I know.

This could be annoying saying this, but the iPhone 11 Pro max is a phone that very much feels premium in the hand. The warmth of the stainless steel, the subtle textured glass, but noticeably hefty weight of the phone and the sheer size of the max all come together for a super luxurious, feel and though I still think it's overpriced. You're never going to feel like you have a cheap phone. If you have the iPhone 11 Pro Max in your hand, you could be assured of that, and the same could be said of the phone's display kind of. So it's rocking a six and a half inch 2688 by 1242 super Retina DR display stupid name aside.

The display itself is pretty great continuing its use of OLED technology. The iPhone 11 Pro max is able to achieve a two million to one contrast: ratio. It supports HDR content and probably the most noticeable upgrade from past iPhones is that it can get crazy bright after using the phone for about a month and comparing it to other phones that I've been testing. The brightness on this phone is truly class-leading, for example, check out this comparison with a note.10 plus both phones are maxed out on display brightness, and you can see that the iPhone is significantly brighter and more vibrant when viewing darker content. Now the content overall comes off sharp, has great contrast and even with the notch, it's quite immersive and really enjoyable from a consumption standpoint.

Now the issue I have with this display, doesn't have to do with any flaw per se. I mean it performs excellent for what it is, but let's face it, it isn't anything exciting. In 2019 now had Apple implemented a 90 Hertz promotion display I, think that would have definitely made a stronger case for justifying the high price of this phone and, more importantly, for the use of the word pro in the name which the current display good as it is, really fails to do now. As far as performance is concerned, I'm going to keep it simple and say that the iPhone 11 Pro max is a beast. The 813 Bionic chip follows a trend of Apple, equipping their newest phones with processors that are pretty overkill for the hearing now making it safe to say that this phone could last you a long time through multiple software and feature updates without experiencing any hiccups and day to day usage.

Now this is great, and I've experienced nothing, but smooth and ultra-fast interactions with the phone, and I am very comforted in knowing that this device is well future-proofed in case I need to hold on to it now an Aryan performance where you'll notice a significant difference from previous models, even from the still beastly iPhone tennis max, is a battery life. After using this phone daily for a month, the battery is hands-down the best battery, that's ever been on an iPhone, and it makes a strong case for best battery life on any phone right now, yes, it does come at the expense of 3d touch. But to me the extended battery life is way more value added on regular days of usage, there are days I go to bed with close to 80% battery remaining and even on days of heavy usage. I've, yet to deplete this thing in one day and I guess: I never realized how less stressful phone usage is without having to worry if I'll be able to make it through the end of the day, while I'm out for extended periods of time, plus alpha Lee decided to get their act together and include a fast charging kit in the box with the phone. So in the off chance that you do need to re-up on the battery, you could do it wicked fast without needing to buy any additional accessories in order to do so.

So, if you're, one of those folks that the power user are always scrambling to find a charger in the middle of the day, I could say with confidence that you will notice a major improvement in battery life on the 11pro max more than any other iPhone to date. Ok, the last area of this phone that I want to talk about where you notice some significant improvements on is in the cameras, the iPhone 11 Pro max comes with its premiere camera suite, which includes a front-facing, 12 megapixels, true depth, camera some new features this year is that the front-facing camera now allows you to zoom out a bit for a wider angle, which is something Apple fans have been asking for a while now. So it's great to see, it could also shoot video in 4k, 24, 30 or 60 frames per second, which is kind of crazy for a front-facing camera really enticing for you, bloggers out there and overall, the image quality on the front-facing. Camera is perfect. Selfies come off great, particularly in portrait mode.

I will say that compared to other flagship phones out there, apples portrait mode to me is the closest to what an actual DSLR would give you. The blur effect is more organic, looking and comes off less processed and though this may be a negative thing for some of you. Apple does way less face, smoothing and beautifying and some of its competitors. Now addition to the front-facing camera, the iPhone 11 Pro max- comes with three cameras on the back one standard, wide-angle lens a telephoto two time zoom and the newest addition to the camera. Lineup, a super wide angle lens- and you know, after using this phone for a month and preparing it to other big haters out there I've become more comfortable in saying that when it comes to cameras overall, the iPhone, 11 Pro and the pro max are the best in class right now, I'm gonna first qualify that bold statement by talking about the video quality on the pro max.

As it's probably the area, that's leading by the biggest margin I mean the 4k video you're able to shoot on this phone is nothing short of incredible, whether you're shooting in 24 30 or 60 fps, the 4k video comes out exceptionally sharp colors aren't accurate, and the footage is incredibly smooth seriously. The stabilization is almost magical. You really don't need a gimbals or equipment in order to be able to get some Percival shots out of this phone, and I think the real reason why the iPhone is so far ahead. Is that it's relatively effortless to do so now when it comes to still image quality Apple has really stepped up their game in terms of fine-tuning their computational software to generate some noticeably better images after pictures taken next generation, HDR produces images that have fantastic dynamic range, particularly great, when using the ultra wide-angle lens for landscape photography, colors are accurate and not overly processed, and what you're left with is a very good natural-looking final photo that in most cases, won't require any post editing to make it any better. Now, where you start to see, some significant gains is in low-light photos.

Not only can the iPhone 11 Pro Max take incredible, looking images in the dark, the way it's integrated into the camera, software really needs to be recognized, whereas in most of the phones require you to toggle night mode separately, the iPhone automatically senses when light is low and turns on night mode. For you, it sounds like a very simple thing, and it is, but it's a great representation of how Apple really does the minor details to perfection again. The iPhone allows you to obtain these incredibly looking photos while making it virtually effortless on your part, which is honestly to me the reason why so many people aren't drawn to Apple devices, even if they know it or not, and look I'd be remiss if I didn't say that there are other phones out there that definitely make a strong case for best camera in terms of still image quality, pixel, 4 I'm, looking at you, but when it comes to overall versatility and performance I, don't think you're going to be able to do better than what the iPhone pro max offers, and it's really the full package in terms of what most people are looking for when it comes to cameras on their smart now, I get it. Everything I said thus far has been pretty glowing of the iPhone 11 Pro max and full honesty. I've had nothing but a good experience using this phone to the past mom, but there are two connected factors out there that I need to acknowledge that does enough to make me comfortably say: don't buy this phone.

One factor is the price, as mentioned at the beginning of this video. This one is expensive and as awesome as it is I don't think it's worth the current price tag, parent symbol and that point really connects to the second one, which is the existence of the iPhone 11, a phone that, in my opinion, can do about 98% of what the iPhone pro max can do in the areas that count at least and a significantly lower cost. I mean to me, it's a no-brainer in saying that the iPhone 11 packs way more value than the iPhone 11 Pro Max and I, can't in good conscience, recommend the more expensive version of the phone when it's so glaringly clear that you can get virtually the same user experience and user joy on a phone, that's close to 40 percent cheaper. Now, if you guys want a more detailed review of the iPhone 11 and why I think it's a better phone I'll leave a link in the description to my full review, but I guess what I'm trying to say is if you're on the fence between these two phones as much as I've enjoyed the 11pro max I would go with the 11, and I totally get that's just my opinion and man I know there are a lot of thoughts are on iPhones, so want to know what you guys are thinking. What do you guys think of the iPhone 11 Pro Max? Do you guys think it's worth the exorbitant price tag and do you think it does enough to differentiate itself from the 11 to really make it a pro version? Let me know what you guys are thinking in the comments down below.

Okay, that's about it, for this review. Don't forget to leave me a thumbs up if you guys find it useful. It really helps me out, if you guys have any questions about the iPhone, 11 Pro or the pro max make them down in the description now be sure to get back to you. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you guys in the next one.
