iPad Pro Smart Keyboard Folio 11" Unboxing & Review! It Works.

Hey guys how's it going down here, so we're taking a look at the last accessory here for the iPad Pro or the new iPad Pro it's the smart Keyboard folio. So it has kind of like the same language as the normal folio that we saw in the last video. But it's got a keyboard, and it's a little more expensive and by a little I mean quite a bit more because it's like a hundred and eighty dollars, and this doesn't come with like any tab to open it. So here let's go ahead and open that, and that's one side and yeah there you go. It's got an iPad like box, the same way and let's go ahead and pull this out. Remove the plastic put this again over here to one side, and here we go keyboard.

Folio does some protective thing here to hold it in place open inside here it looks like we have some documentation, I'm guessing yeah, regarding how to put it on and stuff, but we'll see you in a second how to put it on, which should be the same way that we put on the normal folio. So here you have that smart connector. You can see that right there and that smart connectors on the back right there. So we just place the iPad snaps into place and should be ready to go. So let's go ahead and see here, snaps there, one snaps there.

Two and those are your two positions. So you can only do that. You know for some reason. After this time, Apple doesn't think they should do something like the surface, where you can do it at any position and I feel like that'd, be really straightforward with one of these cases as well that you could, would have just more of these I guess you could do that because maybe you'd want something like that. I don't know whatever, but that's it right here.

As far as the feeling goes, it's a slight rubberized feel with almost like a paper light texture to it. It's really weird to explain. We have some arrow keys down here. It's not backlit, unfortunately, which would have been nice to see and yeah. There's a lot of commands and stuff that you can look into on how to change things.

Here we have Apple, h2 or command H to go home command space, a search command tab to switch app and Kamila option D to show the doc. So you do have some stuff here. The command search is nice. So let's go ahead and google pictures of dogs and, let's see what happens open on YouTube. Alright, it didn't give me Google as an option, but you can see that right there.

So, of course you can just type whatever you want. If you're looking for a document that you have or something like that, then that will do one of the things here is just that. The same thing with the previous model that I didn't like was that it felt a little um. Just out of proportion I mean you can see how big the iPad is, and then you got like this little tiny little thing there, which just not a big fan of the way that it looks. The keys are also just not great.

They keep going for this weird, like bubbly, like look, which I'm not a huge fan of I. Think it's just to give you the impression that it looks like this like full-size keyboard. You know like, like it's all correctly, positioned so that it doesn't look like it's like a keyboard question to a space. You know what I mean it's just a miniaturized keyboard and yeah I mean the keys, are easy to click, and I mean it's easy enough to type on it and of course, I mean if you're getting the new iPad Pro. Furthermore, you might need something like this, but I'm sure we'll see better covers or better just keyword covers and sometime in the future.

The good thing about Apple's one so to just fit see it design language of the tablets. So well, so you can see right there. It almost adds no bulk to the tablet itself, and so it just looks really nice and right there. It doesn't even look like I even have a keyboard on here. So when you open it, you know it's nice, and you got the keyword right there, and you can type away and yeah I mean it definitely solves the solution.

If you need a keyboard, and you don't want to carry out on any cable such hard of course- and you don't want to fiddle around with anything, you know it just attaches on magnetically, which is nice, but for a hundred and eighty dollars. You know what I mean it's like. You buy the base model, iPad Pro, which is like eight hundred dollars, and then you buy this dang keyboard, you're, ending up spending almost eleven hundred dollars on the tab and that's the price of a MacBook or even a used, MacBook Pro. So definitely you know gotta keep that in mind just because it's it jumps up the price. Quite a bit, you're just buying a laptop at this point and not getting the same functionality out of it.

Just because you know that keyboard is just I, don't know, I, don't know it's like I guess if they made a better keyboard, they'd be competing against themselves, so they don't obviously want to make a better keyboard, because then the keyboards really get. Why get a MacBook? If you're looking for something to just browse the web and stuff, so I mean overall, there's really not much to go over? Is it a good keyboard? No, not really! It's not a good keyword. I think you'd be better off and let me get one real, quick all right. So here we go. I took this out I headed over here to the left and yeah I.

Think if you were really serious about typing on this, maybe you just go with the keyboard. Folio or I mean just the regular folio and use that to prop it up. You know with the folio and then use a keyboard like this and take it in your backpack or something and or you know, use whatever keyboard you want, because with the folio, their normal folio, that's like $80. Let me get it real, quick or just any case. Really to prop it up, you know you want to save some bucks there, because you've already spent so much on the tablet.

So here let's go ahead and fold this up. You'd put it like that of course connect the keyboard, and then you know type away and of course, all the key commands that work on the keyboard. Folio are, of course, gonna work here once you learn them and yeah. If you use the keyboard that you like or one that you like more than you're gonna, of course, get more stuff done and enjoy the process a lot more. So that's something to keep in mind.

You'd even be saying some bucks like I, know this keyboard. Well, I! Guess what the keys cost me like 70 bucks for 60 bucks, so that plus have already bought a cheap case with a stand which would be like 20 bucks, that'd be 80 bucks, so maybe a hundred dollars less than the keyboard. Folio and you'd get a better station technically for typing and stuff, but I guess you know it wouldn't be as portable or as discrete or a simple or as minimal as Apple's keyboard. So, of course, there are some trade-offs, the biggest one being here that you'd pay $180 for that keyboard over there, but uh yeah. This is the keyboard folio and if you have any questions about, it feels free to reach out to me in the comments down below, and I'll, get back to you as soon as I can also on Twitter at our Mari and El and yeah.

Thanks for watching this video subscribe, if you liked it make sure to stay tuned for future videos, and I'll catch, you guys in the next one good, bye.
