Ipad 2020 10.2 8th Generation Unboxing + Accessories // upgrade from ipad mini 4 to ipad 8 By Hey, it's Kimberlee!

Hey, it's Kimberly. Welcome back to my channel. I make videos on all things: lifestyle on a budget, and today I am super excited because we are finally upgrading from my iPad Mini 4, which, as you can see, she has been through it. Look at that. I know insanity right there, but I will say it was still working, but I'm finally, upgrading from this iPad Mini 4. I got this a couple of years ago.

Yes, I did have a protective cover on it, but then I dropped it, cracked that didn't end up putting on a new one, because I thought I would be fine and then proceeded to drop in a million and one more times, and so there is why I have all these cracks on it. So I was waiting to get a new one to upgrade, and I decided, instead of just going to upgrade to the iPad Mini 5. I believe it is. I decided to upgrade to the iPad 8th generation, so it's a little bigger and I got this in 128 gigs in the color gold. As you know, this is a budget channel, and before we get into the unboxing and all that I'm just going to go through how I got this, how much it costs.

I was sitting on the train going to work on Black Friday and I realized you know what instead of the mini, I want to get one of the normal-sized ones or the next size up, and I was like as soon as I get home, I'm going to purchase it. I looked up all the deals and sales. Furthermore, I used the honey app I used racketing. Furthermore, I use we thrift all those stores I go to them. First, to see which sites have the best deals and Best Buy.

I had the best deal for about 350, and I was like yes, I'm going to get that. Let me just get home, so I can read everything quickly well later that evening I got home and everything was sold out now the places that did still have them available. It was going for 400 or 500, and I thought that was absolutely ridiculous, because I had just seen it for 350, so I had missed the sale. I tried again on Cyber Monday and still everything was just sold out, and I just said you know I don't want to purchase it now, knowing that there is a deal out there. So let me just wait and see you know: we've got Christmas.

Coming up, we've got the end of the year coming up, there's usually sales around there. So I'll just wait. I kept checking the honey app to see if any of the prices were falling or any new stock had come in and about a week later. So on December 7th I checked, the best buy deals and Best Buy was having another sale, and they had it on sale for 3.79. So I figured that's, probably the lowest that I was going to get in that time frame, because I did want it kind of soon and I just decided.

Okay, that's a good enough deal, it's 20 more than the 350, but you know the early bird catches the worm. So I got this for 379. I also purchased. The AppleCare plan for two years came with a free digital download of their trend, micro, internet security. I'm not sure if I'm going to use that we'll see and also came with a free Apple Music for four months for new subscribers.

Only I don't really use Apple Music, but maybe I will for four months, and then it also came with free Apple news plus for four months. I actually do read Apple news, and sometimes when you get to the articles that you have to have the plus subscription I'm like darn, I wish I could have it, so I'll actually be downloading that and using that once I get this up and running now, the 256 gig iPad Mini 4 was a little cheaper. But again I wanted to kind of upgrade from that size. I think, if anyone's out there and decided, I think the iPad Mini is great. I'm again, I had it for about four years now I had another one before this.

That's probably combined eight years of having this size, and I really do like it. I'm going to be moving in the future and I want to potentially not get cable since I barely watch TV right now, I'm mostly just watching things on Netflix or on the news, apps and stuff, so this would actually be great because then I would be able to watch something on a little of a bigger screen. I decided to go with, for starters this little red case from uh Amazon. This is the brand king Blanc. It is a harder case.

I wanted to give myself extra protection, since this is bigger, more expensive and definitely more important. It has a little cloth on the inside for cleaning. You have the grooves right here, which shows that you can prop it up and stand it up. Hopefully this is good and then yes, of course, I got the tempered glass also from Amazon. This is the protective screen that I know I definitely need please.

I beg myself to be careful with the unboxing, so I don't break anything before I even get the cases on, let's get into it, so we are now up and running. I'm going to try to be so careful with this. This is basically like the screen that I had beforehand. The transfer time took longer than I feel like it should have. I can't remember how much time it was the last time I did this, I guess four years ago, but this took like it said: 43 minutes it's so funny, because now that the screen is bigger, I almost feel like one of those people that has like bad eyesight, so you're, just like you want to like to leave it further away.

I'm like I don't want to bring it too close or something like that. But anyway it's so light. I'm super impressed by this and look how thin that is like that is wow and then oh, my gosh, my favorite favorite favorite app for editing suffusion is on here when I edit, I literally, don't have to hold the screen up here anymore. This is really awesome. Oh my gosh, I'm so happy right now I didn't realize how much of a big change it would be the internet and everything already connected and synced up.

So I didn't even have to put any of that information in I'll. Do a little side-by-side comparison. So that you guys can see, I will take this out and do some photos so that you guys can see what the camera quality is like. So that's my first impression on the latest model of the iPad 128 gigs. I really love this.

This is the gold color, even though it looks a little bronze anybody gets an iPad for Christmas iPad Mini anyone. Saving up for one always always always check the deals. You guys know. I am all about the budget finding that sale, so you can save a little money, and you know it's better on your wallet uh. Thank you guys so much for watching, and I will see you in the next one.
