Hey, what's up everyone joshes quinones here and in this video I'm going to be comparing both the galaxy s21 ultra and the Galaxy Note 20 ultra I've actually been getting this question quite a bit. If I had to pick just one of these devices, because I do own both of them, I've had the Galaxy Note 20 ultra since it's come out, and I've had the galaxy s21 ultra since has come out, and the question has been if I had to pick just one of these devices and get rid of the other one, which one would I pick so in today's video. I'm going to be answering that question and letting you guys know why I would pick one device over the other end before I get into it and instead of making you guys wait until the end of the video to find out which device. I would pick, I'm just going to tell you right now right off the bat. If I had to pick between both of these devices just one of them, it's kind of hard, not gonna lie but based on my own personal usage and what I use my device for. If I had to pick just one, I'm going with the Galaxy Note 20 ultra now before you skip out of the video make sure you stay.
So you can see why I would pick this device over this one right here, because I got to say both are amazing devices I mean when it comes to the Galaxy Note: 20, ultra and s21 ultra both are amazing. Looking devices I mean both look like a boss. Both have beautiful displays, amazing performance, great battery life, amazing cameras- I mean you can't go wrong with either one of these devices, but there are small specific reasons why I would pick the Galaxy Note 20 ultra over the s21 ultra, so let's go ahead and get into it all right. So, as I mentioned, both of these phones are great. Looking phones, I mean you can't go wrong with either of them.
The Galaxy Note 20 ultra. Has this really nice professional. Look with that. Boxy look, I love the matte frosted finish. We have in the back and then the camera module yeah.
It's a bit big. You know it does pop out quite a bit, but in my opinion it still looks nice and then, when you go to the front, you have a beautiful looking display. I mean you're, pretty much getting an all-screen experience, pretty much a bezel-less display, and I really like the boxy look of this one, and I really like the way it feels in the hand as well, and it is a little lighter than the galaxy s21 ultra. But when you go to the s21 ultra in the back, you still get that frosted matte finish in the back in this phantom black. I mean I absolutely love this color on this device right here, and I really wish this color was available for the Galaxy Note 20 ultra.
If I had to pick between the two when it comes to just the back of the devices honestly, I would go with the s21 ultra. I really like the way I really like what Samsung did here with the galaxy s21 ultra. Just the overall color the overall finish and then that camera module in the back it just kind of looks like it's just melting into the device. You can really tell they took their time with this one I mean it looks great. Let me see if I can get the lighting great right there look at that right there.
So, in my opinion, if I had to pick between both of these just based off the back, then I would pick the back on the galaxy s 21 ultra, but going to the displays I would have to go with the Galaxy Note 20 ultra when it comes to the display. In my opinion, I just like that overall boxy look a lot better than the rounded off edges on the galaxy s21 ultra, and I just feel like I'm getting more screen kind of like I have a little TV in my hands, especially if I'm watching any type of content. Now the Galaxy Note 20 ultra, is also a little taller than the galaxy s21 ultra I mean just barely I mean you can barely tell unless you're really holding them next to each other, then you could tell that the Galaxy Note 20 ultra is a bit taller, but both beautiful looking displays. You know, aside from the rounded corners or the boxy corners, you can't go wrong with either. One of these displays I mean Samsung has the best displays in the game.
I mean I really love how vibrant the colors are and how much they just pop out at your face, whether you're, just you know, scrolling through the screen, looking at pictures watching videos movies, whatever it is you're doing on these displays right here I mean you're, going to have a great experience, so you can't go wrong and while we're on the topic of displays here, I do got to give a quick shout out and huge thanks to the sponsors of this portion of the video white stone dome glass. Now, if you have been following my channel for a while now, you'll know that white zone dome glass is my go-to screen protector for pretty much all of my devices, whatever devices they have those screen protectors available for those are my go-to screen protectors. I mean they do such a great job at protecting your display from any scratches any cracks, and while it could seem like kind of a complicated way to put a screen protector on, they do a great job at getting them on your device, just nice and precise and perfect, and they're pretty much going to work with any case except for super bulky cases. But when it comes to protection on that beautiful display on your Samsung device, I mean you can't go wrong and if a glass screen protector isn't really your thing, they also offer a film protector as well, which is a lot cheaper than the glass protector and also has an easy installation as well. So if glass isn't really your thing, you also have the film option to go with, but huge thanks to the sponsors of this video white stone, dome glass and if you find yourself interested in any of those screen, protectors that I personally use on all of my devices I'll make sure to have links down in the description below go ahead and check them out.
Okay, so now, of course we know, I love the look of both of these devices. Here I mean you can't go wrong with either one of them, although I did say I do prefer the back of the galaxy s21 ultra, and I do prefer the display on at the Galaxy Note 20 ultra. What I wish Samsung would do is just get the back of the s21 ultra and just slap it on the Galaxy Note, 20, ultra and boom. We have the perfect looking device, but you know that might just be wishful thinking, but, aside from the overall looks and design of both of these devices, we got to talk about performance. Now, I'm not going to go too deep into the specs here on paper.
If you want that, you can go ahead and just google it I'm talking about user experience here when I'm just using either device, even if I'm using them side by side like this, just whether I'm just scrolling from screen to screen going from app to app watching videos whatever it is, I'm doing on either one of these devices. Honestly, I really don't notice a difference in performance. That's how good both of these devices perform- and I know the Galaxy Note.20 ultra does have the older processor. It is a bit older than the galaxy s21, but I mean come on the Galaxy Note.20 ultra isn't really that old of a device I mean. I hear people talk about this phone like its years old already, and it's really not maybe about six months old, seven months.
I really don't know to be honest, but I mean for some people. You just got this phone so quit asking. If you should upgrade from the Galaxy Note, 21 or note 20 ultra to the galaxy s21 ultra, you don't need to do it. I'm telling you right now. You do not need to upgrade.
You just got this device, you can still consider it a new phone. I mean it came out just a couple of months back not that long ago, it's not an old phone. So when it comes to performance of both of these devices, honestly, I really don't know a difference. You can't go wrong with either. One of these both are super snappy super smooth, especially with that 120 hertz display.
Now the only difference is when it comes to using that 120 hertz. You are stuck at 1080p resolution. With the Galaxy Note 20 ultra, you can't put it at its highest resolution and still use that 120 hertz with the galaxy s21 ultra. You do have the option to do that. You can use max resolution, and you can set it at 120 hertz now does this have effect on the battery wow when it comes to battery on both of them.
Honestly, with that I, even with that, I really don't notice too much of a difference. I mean the galaxy s.21 ultra does last a bit longer than the Galaxy Note.20 ultra, but I mean the Galaxy Note.20 ultra still gets me through a full day of usage, so this does have a smaller battery than the s21 ultra, but at the same time, if I have this on max settings, it pretty much evens out to be just about the same, I'm getting about uh, sometimes seven hours of screen on time, five or six hours of screen on time. It really just depends on my usage for that day. But honestly, I have no complaints with battery life on either one of these devices I mean I can get through my day, just fine. So when it comes to battery life on either one of these, I have no complaints at all either way, I'm not trying to make it into the next day without charging my phone, because when I go to bed at night, I throw it on the charger anyways.
When I wake up, it's at 100 ready to go and get me through my day now I know: there's those people out there that are going to say well, it's not good to do that with your device, it's not good to charge it overnight and just leave it on the charger. Well, you know what oh wow, that's what I do, and this is based on my own personal usage with both of these devices, and I haven't had a problem yet, okay, now making our way over to the cameras on both of these devices. If I had to pick just one just based off of the cameras alone and nothing else, just the cameras, then I got to go with the galaxy s 21 ultra, because yeah the cameras are better on the s21 ultra compared to the note 20 ultra, but is it by a huge difference? Honestly? No sometimes you can't even tell the difference, but they are a little better if you're really, really looking at it, but for the most part, if you know is the average person is just walking around, you want to pull either one of these phones out take a quick photo here and there whether you're, using the ultra-wide angle, lens the telephoto lens the main lens. Now the s21 ultra does have more cameras than the Galaxy Note 20 ultra, but if you're just pulling it out real quick just to you know, take quick photos and videos here and there I mean you can't go wrong with either. One of these both have great cameras.
I'd be fine with either one. To be honest, now, of course, you do have the 100 time zoom on the s21 ultra compared to the 50 time zoom on the note 20 ultra, but you know most people probably aren't even going to use that 100 times zoom, because you know quality isn't the best. It's not really usable. Now it is super cool. The fact that we are able to zoom in 100 times on a camera on a phone I mean it's amazing, and it only gets me excited for what's to come in the future, because right now, they're kind of still in the learning stages.
You know this is the second time Samsung. Does this on one of their devices? Well, I guess maybe the third, because I mean this does have 50 times zoom, it's not a hundred times zoom, but if we're talking about a hundred times zoom, then this is the second time Samsung. Does this, and it can only get better from here. So I'm excited to see what Samsung does in the future. But again, when it comes to cameras, you can't go wrong with either one of these, whether you're talking about pictures or video and a lot of you, probably don't even notice, there's a lot of times when I use my Galaxy Note 20 ultra to record a lot of the videos here on this channel still to this day, so I mean, if you can tell let me know down in the comment section below, if you couldn't tell also, let me know down in the comment section below by the way make sure you leave a huge thumbs up on this video if you are liking it so far.
Okay, so one thing that the galaxy s21 ultra can now do just like the Galaxy Note.20 ultra is had s pen compatibility, but what I like about the Galaxy Note, 20 ultra over the s21 ultra, is that it already comes with an s pen. I don't have to buy the phone and then buy the s pen separately and then buy a case separately just to hold that s pen on my device and then that case I mean I haven't even bought it to be honest because I don't want to have to dish out the money to buy a special case just to hold the s pen that I can use with this device, and that case also makes the phone a bit wider and heavier. I don't want to have to do that. Furthermore, I got my Galaxy Note 20 ultra-right here. Furthermore, I can slap on a thin case on here, so it doesn't add too much weight.
It doesn't have too much bulkiness and I already have my s pen with me. I don't have to pay extra money to get that s pen on my device and not only that, but I also have the Bluetooth capabilities with the s pen on the Galaxy Note, 20 ultra as well with the s21 ultra. You don't have that now. I know they're coming out with a pro s pen or something like that. I don't really remember what they're calling it.
Furthermore, I don't even know if they've come out with it already to be honest if they haven't, they are, but I'm not really sure what that s pen is going to be capable of, but either way you still can't. Stick it in your phone, I'm sure you're going to have to buy a separate case for that s, pen as well. So one big difference why I would choose the Galaxy Note 20 ultra over the s21 ultra is because it already has the s pen installed in this device, but that is not it. Another reason why I would pick the Galaxy Note 20 ultra over the s21 ultra is because it also has SD card support, which is huge for me, probably not a lot of people, because I know a lot of people like to upload their videos and pictures to the cloud. But that's not me for those of you that don't know I edit all of my videos here on YouTube on my smartphone and with that being the Galaxy Note, 20 ultra editing a lot of these videos that you guys have been watching lately, so the camera I'm using it right now.
You know records on my video saves it to the SD card that I have inside, and then I take the SD card out of that camera, and I put it right into this smartphone right here to start editing my videos with my galaxy s21 ultra. I cannot do that again. I have to spend more money to get a SD card reader to hook up to this phone. If I do want to transfer all of that footage over to my phone, why do I want to do that? If I already have a note, 20 ultra-right here that has SD card support, I can easily just slap in my SD card start editing my video, and I'm good to go. So that's another huge reason, huge, huge region, huge.
I feel like I'm not saying that right. Another huge reason why I would pick the Galaxy Note 20 ultra over the galaxy s21 ultra, and we also have MST support on this as well. Now don't get me wrong. The s21 ultra has been a great device. I've been enjoying my experience with this phone.
So far this has been my main device, but I also carry my note 20 ultra around as well all the time, because I mean I still use it for a lot of things, but I'm still my review period for the s21 ultra so make sure you subscribe. So you stay tuned for that review because that will be coming in the next couple of days. So I can give you my full thoughts on this device right here. I wouldn't really consider this video a review, it's just kind of giving you some quick thoughts on the phone, comparing it to the note 20 ultra, but this has been my main device since I have gotten in. I have truly been enjoying the experience.
It's just little things here and there that I wish this device did have and then for me, it would be the perfect phone. I really wish Samsung would not have gotten rid of that SD card support on this device and if it's going to have s pen support at least you know make a spot somewhere where we can put the s pen in the phone, and we don't have to buy a thick case to make this phone a thicker phone and heavier phone. But those are my reasons. I know they might not be huge reasons, but for me and my usage, what I use my phones, for I mean they're big reasons for me. So again, if I had to pick either one of these devices, it would have to be the note 20 ultra, also I'm sure, right now you can probably get the note 20 ultra for a lot less than the s21 ultra-right now, especially with some trading deals.
You also check out Samsung's website because they always have great trading deals but you all. Let me know what you think down in the comment section below. What do you think? What do you think about my reasons? Let me know, do you agree with me? Do you disagree with me if it was up to you if you had both of these devices and had to had to get rid of one of them, which one are you keeping in your pocket? Let me know you know. Let me know down in the comment section below if you did like this video make sure to leave it a huge thumbs up, don't forget to subscribe and hit that bell for notifications, so you don't miss out on any other future videos to come again Galaxy Note, 20 ultra galaxies s21 ultra. I love the back of this one I mean it looks beautiful but again like subscribe, hit that notification about thanks for watching.
I will see you on the next one peace out you.
