Hey guys shakes here and today, I'm going to do a very interesting speed and ram management comparison in between these two smartphones of totally different price category. On my right, I have the all new Samsung Galaxy, s21 ultra and the device on my left is the latest offering from OnePlus, which is known for creating smartphones at almost half the price of flagships offering similar performance now, s21 ultra is equipped with the next generation 2021 5 nanometer based Enos 2100 or snapdragon 888, whereas OnePlus 8t is nanometer, snapdragon 865 based smartphones, so maybe the upcoming OnePlus 9 would be more comparable. But today, at this moment these two are two flagships of two very popular companies and the main objective of this video will be to judge the ram management, because both smartphones here are equipped with 12 gigabytes of ram, and from my previous experience I can tell you that Samsung offers the best ram management in the android platform for information. The screen, refresh rate, has been set to maximum that is 120 hertz and the screen resolution of the s21 ultra is set to full HD plus same as OnePlus 8t. So, let's get started with the speed test, and the first thing I will do is a boot test. Now the screen of the Samsung device turned off before OnePlus, but maybe the turn of process is still going on.
In the background. Definitely now the Samsung phone is off, so it wins. Now I will power on the devices once again. S21 ultra was faster by few milliseconds, but faster boot speed doesn't really define the speed of the device. So what I will do is I will launch some system, some third-party apps and also some really hardcore games and at the end I will check the ram management or multitasking.
So, let's get started with the dialer. Well, no need to say the Samsung device was almost instantaneous. There wasn't any competition at all. Next we have the contacts menus and once again the OnePlus 8t is not even close. So another point for the Samsung flagship: next is the galleries and the Samsung device is like always ready.
There is no waiting, no loading, so that's really crazy for smartphone. Now here is the camera and I think, once again, Samsung wins. Next, I'm gonna. Try the chrome, browsers and uh. Once again, there is no chance for OnePlus so from 865 to 888.
That seems like a big leap and I think that's not the whole story. The one UI version 3 is so optimized. It gives you that iOS level compatibility for iPhones on the YouTube app the s21 ultra was the winner. Now there you have the play store. Once again, the Samsung device is like instantaneous.
Next, I'm gonna load, some shopping, apps, we'll start with Amazon shopping and once again, Samsung is the winner no change. Next, I want to try first try. They were very close, but still the Samsung device was faster by a millisecond or two. We have another app here that is Flipkart once again, Samsung wins now some reading apps for you here you have Flipboard and once again, Samsung wins OnePlus was doing really. Well, I don't know what happened last year.
This OnePlus 8t is my worst OnePlus experience. Ever I mean it is filled with bugs, and this NDTV app is ready on the Samsung device and still loading on OnePlus 8t. Lastly, we have seen it for the first time ever: OnePlus could load this software, which was already very slow on the Samsung device. So first point for OnePlus: now we have some social apps. There you have Facebook, I think it was momentarily quicker on Samsung next is Instagram.
Once again, Samsung wins, let's launch rest of the apps as fast as I can and talk about the real stuff. That is the ram management. Once again, Twitter was quicker on Samsung. I don't know really what Samsung did here, but it seems too fast to be true. Here are some photoshop apps.
I will start with photoshop camera and once again, Samsung was faster by maybe a millisecond or two. Then we have Photoshop express and once again, Samsung is the winner. So it's not like having the raw version of android with minimal customization can give your user interface super speed. It's all about optimization refinement what Samsung did with their new 2021 flagship, and it's too good man. I want to quickly switch to gaming, so this is the last app I'm going to open.
So these are the games. I'm going to launch one by one: I will start with very popular and highly graphics intensive asphalt, 9. Let's see what happens this time now, OnePlus used to do really good at gaming and the same thing happened here: OnePlus 8t was faster than the Samsung flagship loading, this very high graphics game. So let's try other games before we conclude there. We have Call of Duty this time we have s21 ultra as the winner.
Next in line is, if football ps2021 no need to say who wins, but in these games OnePlus is doing comparatively better. Let's launch rest of the games, then I will check the multitasking. So the next game in line is asphalt extreme well in this game. Once again, OnePlus outshines Samsung. So for some reason OnePlus could load this asphalt.
Series games faster next is temple run to a relatively lower graphics game, and this time Samsung wins the last game I'm going to try today is subway, surfers looks like Samsung is leading and there you go, Samsung wins so in this pay test. Definitely the OnePlus smartphone is not even close to Samsung, maybe in gaming it was comparable, but in terms of apps or in terms of user experience, the s21 ultra is the ultimate smartphone you want in your day-to-day life. Now, let's talk about multitasking once again, both are equipped with 12 gigabytes of ram, which sounds like overkill for a smartphone but uh. It's all about ram management. For example.
There you go, one plus smartphone could not load this dialer from its ram because it was lost, and the phone had to reopen the software uh. This will happen to this gallery for sure there you go. So that's what I'm talking about the multitasking capability of this s21 ultra. Is god, like Samsung, managed to give us iOS level, multitasking capabilities on android keeping the battery performance and also the user experience intact. So let me show you a few more apps, not even a single app that is lost on the s21 ultra, so don't get fooled by numbers like this.
One is giving us 16 gigabytes of ram some smartphones, including OnePlus, restricts ram uses uh, maybe to maintain battery life or performance. So, let's try some games that I have already launched well looks like both are reloading but uh once again. For some reason, uh asphalt games are more optimized for OnePlus and this game loaded quicker on the OnePlus 8t, but it wasn't in the ram. Still it was reloaded. Let's check temple run 2, and this game is still in the ram of both smartphones.
Maybe the gaming mode on the OnePlus is playing some role here: keeping the games in the ram and kicking out some applications, as you have seen asphalt extreme was maintained in both smartphones. This Call of Duty is also there on OnePlus 8t as well as s21 ultra. Now you have a clear idea: how awesome is the ram management of the new Samsung flagship? That's all in this video guys thanks a lot for watching, subscribe and keep in touch. This is signing off.
