Hands On: Ceramic Apple Watch Edition Series 5

We're going hands-on with the re-introduced ceramic Apple Watch edition. What's up everyone, it is Andrew here from Apple, Insider and Apple has reintroduced their titanium casing for the Apple Watch Series five Apple had previously discontinued it putting more emphasis on the aluminum, Nike, stainless steel and the Hermes models. Now Apple has a full lineup with all of those plus titanium, and this here, white ceramic notable only the white ceramic returned. We didn't see the gray ceramic that we saw in the past when we picked up our Apple Watch titanium, it came with a band, we chose the band, and we wanted great, but in the box, apple also includes an extra band for you so depending on which band you partner. This with so you get the really nice Meyer lemon, yellow leather loop. You still need kind of a sports band to wear this around that you're, not gonna, destroy, so Apple does include in the box a bonus white sports band to go with the white Apple Watch.

Otherwise, their white ceramic case is the same as the previous white ceramic case. It just has been updated for the new series for redesigning that we saw with a larger screen and slightly thinner body. The white ceramic is made from a powder before it's compressed and then polished with a diamond slurry. To get that really glossy exterior. It's extremely durable, feel very nice in the hand, shows no fingerprints and is very resistant to scratches the digital crown still has black on there, because that is actually the electrode that's used for taking the ECG's, so it does match all the other ones with the red ring for the cellular and that ceramic part for making contact while taking an ECG.

The white ceramic is the most expensive Apple Watch in the standard lineup, but there is one other Apple Watch that joins it in part of the addition family of watches, so Apple Watch Edition is made up of both the ceramic and the titanium. Titanium comes in both this darker space, black and a more natural silver. The ceramic does cost a little more, but it is nice to see a few different options in that Apple Watch. Edition categories you're not just kind of pigeon-holed into going with the ceramic or the titanium, you have options there, and both of them are very distinct and unique from one another and both are absolutely phenomenal cases for the Apple Watch. So what do you guys think? Do you like the reintroduction of the ceramic? How do you feel this compared to all the other case, materials in Apple's series, 5 lineups?
