Google Pixel 5 vs iPhone 11 Speed Test - Unexpected Results!

Hi everybody welcome back to the channel, so today we're going to just do something a little different, we'll do a comparison, a speed test between the Google Pixel 5 and the last year's iPhone 11. So what we'll do is we'll get straight into it by doing a boot test, what we're going to do we'll quickly boot both of these phones down, then what we're going to do is hold the power button on the side of both phones and see which one can get to the lock screen the fastest. So three, two one so the pixel boot animation seems to have loaded up a little faster than the iPhones it's loaded. Now there we go the pixels actually on the lock screen and able to be opened, probably a good five seconds before the iPhone loaded up. So that's the win for the pixel there. So next, what we're going to do is just do a test of some uh beautiful apps, some social media apps and some shopping apps and some games also, so I've loaded up the same games, same social media apps and the same shopping apps on both phones.

So what we'll do is we'll tap on each one and see which one can do over the fastest. So first, first, we've got Call of Duty mobile, so three, two one, it seems the iPhone's taking an early lead just loading. Now surprisingly, the pixels got there quite a lot faster than the iPhone 11, which is still loaded up. We'll just wait for that to finish, and there we go, the iPhone 11 is caught up there, so it's probably a good again five to ten-second um delay between the iPhone 11 and the pixel 5. So we'll come out of both of the games on each of the phones.

We'll then test PUBG mobile, which is probably one of the more demanding games on the spawn. So we'll go ahead with that one. So three, two one well style PUBG mobile now and the iPhone here seems to be taking. It seems to have taken a clear lead, so just waiting for the pixel catch up there we go so the iPhone there again, a good at five to ten seconds ahead of the pixel booting up pub g, we'll leave them open in the background. So now we've got asphalt.9, 3, 2, 1. Iphone seems to be loading.

The pixels just kept trying to catch up, see which one get actually get to the main menu fastest. Oh, the pixel actually seems to get there um quite a lot faster than the iPhone 11 by the looks of it. Just wait for the iPhone to finish up. So just amazing make you aware all the games that we've been put on this phone have all been updated, so they're all updated prior to me doing this test um. So there won't be any updates being done by either of the phones um.

We'll just wait for the iPhone to finish up here and there we go the iPhones eventually caught up and come into the main menu, so clear, wind there again for the pixel 5. We're going to Clash Royale. These are a bit more demanding games compared to Clash Royale. But what we'll do is we'll test this one and see how they go so three, two one. So the iPhone takes a couple of second lead there um on clash, royale, which is surprising.

So what we'll do is we'll now go on to the social media apps. So we've got Facebook, Instagram YouTube and read it, so we'll load up Facebook first, so three, two one see that the pixel already had the um. The news feed up a good couple of seconds before the iPhone Instagram. So three two one Instagram there was a win there from the iPhone ticktock. So yeah again the iPhone took the lead there with ticktock YouTube.

They were pretty much exactly the same. Read it. The iPhone takes the clear victory on that one, and then we've just got a couple of shopping apps here, so I've got eBay and Amazon, so we'll doe bay. First, pixel just picked it at the mark there and Amazon and the iPhone takes the lead on that one. The iPhone actually wins that one sorry um.

So that's all the apps that we've got download. So what we'll do now is we'll do a couple of browser tests, so we'll load up bbc. com from both fonts, so we'll see which one boots up and what's a complete edge first, so three, two one, so the iPhone they're quite a lot quicker than the pixel we'll go on to GSM arena. Three, two one! If we're doing it, when we're waiting for the ads in the pool on the full page, the iPhone again was ahead there, and then we'll do itp. com three two one again the iPhone took the lead there.

Now they go far using chrome, we're not using safari on the iPhone just to make it a fair test. So if we're doing a side-by-side comparison, I would say in terms of um the shopping I mean the um social media and browsing apps. The iPhone seems to load them up slightly faster, but if we're doing anything in terms of um gaming or Call of Duty pub g anything like that, the pixel took a commanding lead and probably at least five to ten seconds and boot uptime between each of the games. So what we'll do now is just to do a ram test, we're going to boot up each of the games again and just see if um it's been stored, and we don't have to do a reboot on each of the games. So we'll try Call of Duty first, so no reboot on either devices we'll try, PUBG no reboot on either of them.

Try astral uh reboot on both of these devices for restaurant nine and the iPhone seems to have loaded up slightly faster, and then we'll do one more on clash. Royale and a reboot again on both of them devices um for clash, royale and the iPhone again did seem to take the lead a little um. So if I was to choose between the two and see which one was it was the winner, I would say the pixel five um was the overall winner. It did seem to boot. Up and most of the game was faster and maybe um some apps and to be honest with the social media apps, it was only maybe less than a second slower um if that between the two devices.

Now, obviously, there is an um an edge difference between these two phones. Obviously, this phone was released around a year ago and this phone was released around two weeks ago. So you would expect that the pixel 5 would be slightly faster than the iPhone 11, although it isn't um flagship spec, it isn't flagship spec, it's sort of um, last year's, maybe spec um isn't up to par with sort of the s20 ultras and the not 20 ultras, and things like that, and I would still say it's its a brilliant phone. So thanks for watching guys and subscribe to the channel if you're new, and I will continue to produce more content like this leave a comment down below on your thoughts, and I'll, see you all next time.
