The pixel 5 and the pixel 4 a5g back in the news once more, because now we have some prices for both of these phones, and these are looking quite accurate too. It paints a massively different picture to the Google Pixel 5 and 4a 5g. As we know from all the leaks we've got already about both of these phones. We know what the setups are going to be and, to be honest, they look perfect. Google has taken away sold, which was miniaturized radar, sounds really cool, but in reality people didn't really go for it and the other biggest change in these phones, both the four a5g and the pixel 5, is the use of a mid-range chipset, which we've now known about for a very long time, and Google have made a good choice here, because essentially, the type of consumer that buys a pixel phone is not someone who is massively interested in the most powerful hardware and gaming. Really.
What they want is a good-looking phone with a great camera and a good software experience for a good price, and that is what consumers really are noticing these days more and more is the price of their phones. So, let's get on to the price leak. According to this leaker on Twitter, the price for the Google Pixel 5 in Germany anyway will be 629 euros. If we put that into us dollars, then that will come out at a price of around 745, but the euro price will include v80 already us prices don't, and so we could assume a price of around 699 to be likely in the states, although we can never be sure about converting prices from euro to dollars and every other currency, based on many other leaks that we've seen from other brands, other price leaks from euros and in dollars and other currencies. We can be fairly confident that this pricing is more or less accurate.
Android authority also saying that they strongly believe that the pixel 5 will come at under 700 in the US this year. That also relates to a price of about 600 pounds for the UK, and that is a good bit cheaper than the pixel 4 came out and in the US that would relate to a price of at least 100 cheaper for the pixel 5 versus the pixel 4. How accurate are these price leaks? Well, this leaker does have some previous. He leaked some Samsung prices that turned out to be accurate, so I guess we can rely on his pixel leaks more or less to give us a ballpark figure of what the price will be this time. We also have to remember that most big publications are saying that they are confident that the pixel 5 will come under 700 this year and, to be honest, they probably already know the price and are looking forward to their review units very soon.
Also featured in the leak, though, was the price of the Pixel 4a 5g, which, on this leak, comes out around 499 euros. In fact, Google have already said that the pixel 4 a5g in the US will be 500 us dollars. So again, that is more or less in the same ballpark, and what it means is that the 4a 5g and the pixel 5 this year will be cheaper than the pixel 4 series last year, and that is because of google using the mid-range soc. They can give some other features, including just taking the price down and still give a modern smartphone experience that basically gives people a lot of what they're asking for at the moment, which is just a good phone with a good camera setup, a decent processor and importantly, a lower price, which could mean that google actually sell way more of this phone than they did last year with the pixel 4 series, does the mid-range soc turn you off, or do you think? Actually it's enough, and a price drop is a perfect thing. Are you interested in buying the phones this time around? Let me know in the comments, as always: that's it for now, though, thank you for watching thumbs up.
If you liked it, and I'll see you in the next one.
