Galaxy S20 Ultra S-View Flip Cover | Unboxing and Initial Consumer Review By Latrell Jennings

Yo, what's good yo, so trailer today, we're gonna just be doing a quick little video and that's going to be checking out this s. View flip cover for the galaxy s 20 ultra, so let's get into it so yeah, like I, said this. Just going to be a quick little video going ahead and checking this out. We're gonna just go ahead and look around the box go and unboxing and throw it on the phone and see how it works. But pretty much I got this with my $200 pre-order credit for the s20 ultra, so I got this I got this portable charger, and then I got that led case showing up tomorrow. I think it's tomorrow.

Maybe it's Monday I, don't remember, but we got as few flip covers here. We can see the case right here with the Samsung logo on galaxy s, xx ultra 5g, unless I don't got none and on the back we got some info, so it says s view flip cover, so we can see our notification alert so check the time. Mother and your messages wall closed. We got pocket screen protection, so we can answer, calls and see message alerts without opening the cover, and then it's ultra slim, so it easily fits in your pocket enhance so dope all right. So that's pretty much all we need to get into so let's go ahead and crack it to this box.

We just need to go ahead and take off this right here, and then we just lift this up. So a little nice unboxing experience right there, but here's our flip cover. So that's pretty much all we get in a box right there, alright. So this is our flip cover here. This is just a little example of how it's gonna look when you have your flip cover on your s20 ultra, and then we got our usual books and all that what we're going to do with this you're gonna, throw it to the side because I don't think we need a user manual for a case alright.

So looking around the case, real quick, this one looks like an inside in I'm, not sure if you can take this off and pretty sure you can know, but we got smart clear view cover, and then we got the model number in my serial number, and this is what you're going to be seeing on the s view cover. So basically you put this on your phone. Your phone recognizes that you have this on, and then it just displays it over here on the screen and on the back. We just got our Samsung logo with the cutout here in. If you look into that, get that nice material right there.

It's plastic, though out here so just know that, but on the bottom here you can see that the whole bottoms exposed and on the right side you can see we got our volume rockers and our power button exposure and then on the top. We just got our little microphone cutout, alright. So let's go on slap this on real, quick. Let's go ahead and clean up this phone first before you go ahead and throw it on let's clean enough to me. So, let's go and slap this thing on right here and there we go look at this and get another email about the Corona fire, but check this out real quick.

So it looks like we get a notification when we get the case on, but it says congrats on a new case tap here, to applaud the exclusive theme designed for your new phone case. Let's go and do that there all right looks like these are some options with our case, so we can go ahead and download something if we want to, but we still gotta pay for them, but yeah. If you look right here, you can actually see a little indent here where the fingerprint scanner is, so I. Don't really know why it's there, but it's due, but let's go and close this here, and it's looking all flush with the phone, so man I'm living in the front like I'm kind of liking. The design of this thing like it look real business, see if you know what that means so like when people see with this case they going to know you mean business like they.

Going to think you just came out the conference room. You just closed a couple deals, and now you're on Amazon like it is what it is but yeah. So if we going to click on the power button, we have our time. We have the battery percentage, and then we have the date at the top. You can see.

They left us a little of a cutout here for this speaker, but yeah pretty much already covered all the sides already. But let's look at the back real, quick, so man, man, look at that. So look at the camera, real, quick! That's like almost completely flush with the case man like I'm feeling it because just look at this real quick, you could barely see it, but it like very barely sticks over the camera, so I'm feeling that, because, if you put on the table now and go scratch your camera, because that camera man that sticks out a lot of mistakes like it sticks out so much that if I try to use it on this wireless charger right here, it's just going to slip all over the place, and it ain't really going to stay on there. Because I like to hold it like this, and I'm glad I got the black version because even though I got the gray phone, they got a gray color. It just matches the camera right here, so yeah I'm feeling it now.

The thing that's trash about this case is when you want to go ahead and open the camera and actually looks like we got a message right there. So open cover the view to select the app. So let's go and open it real, quick, okay, oh no white and open you're going to be looking like one of them soccer moms recording their kids games with the cover all open like this. So a really feeling that you can go ahead and put over like this, but then it's going to look trash, so you have to take a picture like this, but even though you're going to rock it out like that, I'm still feeling this case a lot of man, but let's go and check out everything else on this cover real quick. So we got a new YouTube notification.

Let's go on tap on that. It says open cover to view notification details now, that's kind of trash. Okay, because, like you got all this room right here, so you can definitely see the details. I don't know kitchens I, don't know why I had to open it to look at it even I like the Gauss, easy flip, but that tiny, tiny little display. You can still see the notifications on there.

I hear that you're saying the thing now turns to the touch sensitivity like it's perfect in this case, like I'm, actually surprised like you can just touch it like your phone when it's open, let's go and check out the settings for this case real quick. So if we go over to settings scroll down to looks like advanced features and there we go accessories, so we got clear view covers, so we can go ahead and set the automatic unlock. So if you don't get a password on your phone, and you just open a case, it'll go directly to the screen instead of the lock screen and if you go and turn that off it'll just go to the lock screen. When you open your case now, I did press the power button. So that's why it's going directly to the screen, but we got another option here called text direction.

So basically you can make it look the way that looks right now, or you can go ahead and tap on bottom to the top, and it's going to turn it. This way now, there's another option: I heard online. So if we actually go over to the lock screen and there you go a tap on always-on display, you can actually turn that on with the clear view cover. So that's dope. Okay, man, like I'm, super happy since I put this up at here, like that's clutch, because we go ahead and close this thing, and you go ahead and turn it off.

It's just going to be a blank low, clear view. Whatever this is, but if I go and turn that on and then go and close it, let's go and turn it off. It's going to be like that. So that's really clutch. Okay, so Samsung I appreciate you all for putting that up in there now I got my first s view flip cover with the galaxy s4.

So this ain't new to me well, this design is right here, but I'm not going to lie I kind of miss the days when they had on the Gauss's 4, because it was like a big screen. You can set a wallpaper like it was dope on here. Now you just get a black display, and it's kind of boring. Now you can't even see your notifications, which I'll get. Why Samsung you need to update that, but that's for your flip covers still as easy as it's always been, because all you have to do is just slap it on, and it just works.

Oh, I can't get to go into the settings and turn anything on and under just like I said it just works. Now, let's see what happens when we put on the charger, so we got Wireless charged in 79% 56 minutes until fool kid just changed so fast wireless charging and there just went it always on this plan. You can see the low lightning bolt right there. So there's no animation, none like that! So that's kind of lame, but that's pretty much. How this case is its just kind of boring to me and, if I'm being honest man, let's check out some other things, real, quick, so I'm going to call this phone real, quick, all right, so I'm ringing this phone right now, let's go check out this real quick, and it should be popping up okay.

So now it's vibrating, so we got the phone number right. There don't worry about it. It's just one of them texting our numbers, some little trap numbers, so we got incoming calls. So we can go and answer it. So I'm going to go and do that real, quick, and then you can see that we're in the car right now.

Let me go take that off speaker but yeah. So you can see the phone number right here. I can see the call duration, and then you can go ahead and just end the call, so you're just going to swipe on that there go call ended now. Let's see what it looks like when we get a message on this thing, so I just went ahead and sent to the message, so I'm pretty sure yeah. We still can't view it.

So that's pretty lame, like I'm, not really feeling that you can't even view the message like this thing is called the S view. Flip cover for a reason like I want to see my notifications. If you could do it on a tiny, tiny screen on the Galaxy SII flip, then you could do it on here. Samsung, so I'm going to need you to update this and put some more functionality up in this thing. Now it's going to play some music on this thing, so I'm gonna pull up Spotify and go and turn that down real, quick, because I ain't trying to get no copyright, it's going to close it, and then you can see right there.

So we got two pages now, so I'm going swipe and there we go, so we got Spotify. So we actually got the album cover right there we got the song name, the artist, and then we got Spotify where it's playing from, but you can see, we can go ahead and pause it. We can go and play it when you go to the previous song, and then we could go to the next song, and it should work for like pretty much any app so like you all know, Samsung, music and Pandora all those apps. You should be good, but the thing that sucks about this again is like you can't start music from here now. I can go ahead and play the music and I can go ahead and change the volume.

All that I can't see what the volume is that right now, but I can go to just do pretty much. I love this case, but just don't love like the limited functionality on this thing, like you feel me, because I can't even like Doubleday on this thing and turn it on I, gotta go and press the power button, or you know just flip the view cover like that and get it to turn on yeah I'm, not really feeling that so Samsung again. If you're watching this video, you might be, but I doubt it is like I highly doubt it Samsung put some more functionality in this thing. Man like but I do like that professional feeling. Man like you, can just go and put on the table and let's say you want a glass at the time.

Real, quick, you don't got a watch on you. You could just see your battery percentage. You can see a day. Furthermore, you can see the time you can see what notifications you got right there like it's dope, alright. So let's go and try out some more features on here.

So when everyone's going to be an alarm, so let's go and set an alarm real, quick. So we're going to go and see how this looks alright here. So I just went ahead and set an alarm and I. So there's our alarm. So we got the time right there.

At 6:30 p. m. we got the low alarm, icon and says alarm. So whatever you name your alarm, that's when it's gonna show right there we got snooze and then in go and cancel leave, and now it's going to see about timer, so we're going to set it for one second and see what it looks like right there. So there we go, so I see the time right there.

Time's up restart, and then you could just go and dismiss it again, all right. So what about stopwatch so Casey a stopwatch on here? Okay, I, see it right there but nope. We can't how surprising and I have even seen that you can use Bixby on here. So that's pretty dope. So let's go and try it hi Bixby.

What's the weather degrees from 6 p. m. to 7 p. m. here must be going up right now.

Alright, so I pretty much read off the whole forecast for me. So that's pretty dope, and you saw that little X button right there, and it just brings up Bixby as soon as I open it so yeah. So Bixby actually does work on this thing. Now, let's go and try some mouse turn on the flashlight, alright dope. Now, let's do this turn off the flashlight.

Alright, so I don't know: do they want you to depend on Bixby or some or would because I'm not really feeling that if so and one last thing is like I can go ahead and hold on to the power button and the volume down, and I can get to my power menu right there, and you can see it blurred the background a little, but you can't really see it that good. But, yes, we got power off, so we can go a power it off right there, and then we get restart. So it's going hold that back up there restart all right, cool and that's pretty much all we get, so we can go and turn it off we want to, and it tells us unlock the phone. So if you don't get face recognition or fingerprints that or anything you can just go ahead and turn it right off same thing for every start. So let's go ahead and do this real, quick, I'm going to go ahead and unlock it real, quick and now let's go ahead and do this go ahead and power it off and yeah works just like this.

Obviously, like I said, it's going to be the same exact thing when you're restarting it so yeah, that's cool, no I, really like that. He got them features up in there, but still they still limited our features. I just hope they independent on big speed because yeah, even though I use Bigamy all the time like I, never use Google assists on my phone I know how crazy I'm, using an inferior voices system, but I, don't care you all, okay, so it just works better for me with my Samsung ecosystem and everything and I just got used to it. Okay, I, just like big speed better, is that a problem I just don't want to talk to my phone all the time when I want to go ahead and use the case closed, but it's still nice that I can use Bigamy while it's closed, and I can go ahead and tap on that exponent of closed e play music on Spotify okay, so they brought up the box. Okay, cool, okay! What's written about 30 rock, all right, all right! Stop I! Don't want happy right! So 450 bucks, yeah! That's how much this day cost.

So pretty much you pay 50 bucks for a plastic case with a little transparent thing right here, but do I still give it that Jenny stamp of approval, yeah I still give it that, but Samsung like I, said already. I'm going to say this for, like the millionth time. Samsung I just need that extra functionality, and I'm gonna really be feeling this thing, but yeah. That's pretty much.
