Double Unboxing of the Google Pixel 3 & Palm Phone 2018 Exclusively, Verizon (video & Audio Samples)

It's about hi everybody and welcome back to the channel today, I have for you a double unboxing of the Pale phone as well as the pixel three phones. Yes, the smallest phone that came out in 2018 as well as, of course, the best of Google in the pixel 3 variant. I already have the pixel 3 XL, so this is going to be really exciting to check out the smaller form factor of the pixel 3 devices. This is TK and I want to say. Thank you very much to Verizon for allowing me to check out both of these devices and share with you guys my experience, let's check them out so here we have both devices, the Google Pixel 3 again in white, with the green accent button, and this is the palm phone. Both are Verizon exclusive devices currently, so I want to say thank you very much to Verizon for allowing me to check this out now.

You can't pick up the unlocked version of the pixel 3 directly from Google, but if you want to pick it up from a like a carrier as sorts Verizon is pretty much the only one that has it the reason why I got two devices to unbox, for you guys today is because this one's already kind of configured to work with this device. So it's a tethered device, and it really augments the experience of using the pixel 3. So we can unbox both of these guys. We're going to do a walkthrough for you, guys here and quick demo with audio and video just to see how this device performs. Is it really intended to be your weekend phone? So you can leave this guy at home and go out and still have a good experience with this guy I'll.

Do the pixel 3 world quick again overall? What we have here is the snapdragon 845. This is the white variant. Let's go ahead and take this guy out, there's a double plastic covering- and here we are. This is a 5.5 inch display dual camera set up on the top wide-angle and standard angle lens dual firing, front-facing speakers. We have an accent that a power button with a volume rocker on the right on the back.

We have the 12 megapixel sensor, basically the dual tone: LED flash and the fingerprint sensor. The back is entirely made out of glass. Although the material does change between the top and middle, it does actually kind of carry over all the way. I'm hoping it kind of shows. With white on white kind of thing.

We have the Google logo, the fingerprint sensor, it's not a button and, of course, on the top one of the microphones on the bottom. We have the SIM tray, only supporting so basically the SIM card, a USB-C port on the bottom here and then on the left side. Nothing, it's all clean again, goes ahead and power on this device. Oh, and give it a second I'll put it on the table and then, as far as what comes in the box, it's pretty standard to all the pixel three and the pixel three Excel devices. What you have here, obviously, is instructions.

We do have a USB earphones, so these are going to be powered and as well as the fact that we have a microphone volume up and down, play and pause, so perfect and, of course, the ability or launch the assistant. A USB see the USB cable, supporting the fast charging, brick that we have here us blood the force. Last but not least, we have an OTG cable as well, not an OTG, cable, an OTG adapter, as well as a three and a half millimeter headphone jack, two SBC to be able to use your own headphones if you'd like, as opposed to using the ones that come in the box now for size. Comparison I want to share with you guys real, quick, here's, the pixel three XL, here's the pixel three. The difference, of course, is definitely very big.

This is a 1080p panel. This is a quad HD panel and the sensors you'll notice right there that they're actually kind of position centered wise for the cameras. There are the same sensors except that they're offset here to the top, and we don't have a notch on the pixel three, the pixel three XL definitely does have that massive match up there, but other than that we've pretty much getting a smaller form factor of what you normally would expect with the pixel three XL on the pixel three: let's go ahead and open up the palm phone- and here we are here- is the pixel phone: let's go ahead and take it out, it's a tiny, tiny phone at the only way I can describe it is again. This is 5.5 inch display. This is a 3.3 inch display it's like kind of baby phone, but the really it's intended to be more of a companion phone to your main phone. It's not intended to be your only phone now, both phones are connected to each other, so I'm going to go ahead and turn on this one go to.

Second, we do have an 8 megapixel sensor in the front at 12 megapixel sensor in the back and LED flash no wireless charging, but it is, it does feel like it's glass. We do have SD support at to the 32 gigs of internal storage that we have here, expandable, of course, with SD card we do have 3 gigs of RAM, and the expansion slot here essentially is for the SIM card from Verizon, as well as the SD card on the bottom. We have a USB microphone at the bottom at the top one microphone and that's pretty much it. The earpiece will double as your sound. Obviously, this is going to be where you're going to be listening to sound as there is no other speaker and there is no physical buttons, but we do have a soft button here.

Pressing one sticks you back pressing twice, takes you basically home and of course, Preston hold takes you to the recent application. This is running Android 8.1, with a skinned version of the UI. As far as we look the rest of the stuff that comes in the box, we have some instruction manual information here. We have a power brick again, no, no, no cable or headphone jack to be able to listen to audio again, keep in mind. This is not intended to be an entire phone, but shortly basically USB a DSP C charging cable to be able to use with your device.

So here we have it. This is running Android 9.0 and this is running Android 8.1. This is, for all intents and purposes, an Android device. It has similar functionality, you'll notice right there. We have portrait screenshot brightness level, the speaker volume right there by default is set.

This is the one that you see in the middle and I can go and switch it over. Now we have the optional be able to go in, so it has auto brightness I'll go in this way and, of course, there's Bluetooth Wi-Fi, flashlight I, don't know if you'd like to have that airplane mode. Of course, power saving mode, and you can go back into the main UI. That's really, basically a custom launcher for this. You are able to install secondary launchers on this, and I'll share with you guys, a link in the description to the ones that were actually shared with me.

The power button is pretty simple. We do have faced unlock as well to have the dialer. You can make phone calls. You have Google services, so Google search all looks like we have Google Maps movies, Google Play Music Chrome photos drive. The main intention here essentially is to simplify the experience so that you have very, very small, very easy to use phone.

So, let's go in the lock and right there face unlock work, so I have that were that set up from yesterday, and we are able to go into let's go ahead and go into the settings, so we have network settings to connect the device apps. Of course, you can manage your applications. It has 32 gigs of internal storage. Although you can expand it, not life mode is the ability of turning this where it gives you the ability of kind of resting and disconnecting, and we have face recognition, which is a phase unlock I've already set up battery percentage is 26. It's an 800 million battery powering this entire three point in at 3.3. Inch display and supposable should be able to last us an entire day storage.

We have 21 point 43, almost 21 22, while 21 and a half gigs available from the 32 security and update, of course, for the locking offer. It told us here that the pom PVG 100, which is the model number for this, is up-to-date. They'll go ahead and say yes, I'm going to go ahead and go home and let's go ahead and launch the camera. I want to be able to see basically how this the quality of the pictures come out. So here is I'm, gonna, say deny for location services, and it's right there.

So let's go into the settings and as far as what we have here, we have manual mode surprising, a video mode photo mode, instant, collage panorama, light trace as well as Beauty. So let's go ahead and go into the settings work with the camera. So the back sensor, as I mentioned, you guys, is a 12 megapixel sensor, video quality. Let's go up here. Maximum is 1080p, so that's the mast we can get from the back one we do have a study is stabilization and then, of course, save location.

I'm going to go ahead and keep it at 12 megapixels, so keep it here, go back and that pretty much covers the back sensor. Let's go ahead and go back here and let's switch over to the front sensor, a how you're doing, and we'll go into the settings. Do the same thing. The front fence sensor again is an 8 megapixel sensor capable of going all the way up to only 720p. So 720p is the maximum.

We can go with the front one. So here's a quick sample of the front-facing camera on the brand-new palm phone again it only capable of going up to 720p, so I am probably either gonna stretch the image or just basically kind of blur out and maybe make it fit in this image, because my regular timeline for this video is at 1080p, which luckily is that the back camera will do 1080p at 30 frames per second. So let's go ahead and switch over to the back sensor. Ok, we went ahead and switched over to the back facing sensor, capable of going all the way to 1080p with the 12 megapixel sensor in the back and that's pretty much the maximum resolution. We're able to get, and I'm assuming it's 1080p at 30 frames per second, because it didn't specify 60 but again still really nice and something very functional out of such a small phone.

That's intended to be a companion phone, so a real, quick demo of a video plane on here. This is my video from yesterday. Yes, I know the battery's low, it's all about helping you make a decision between the a20 pro MMA, 20x and sure enough. It fits the screening anyway, and it does look really nice. Overall, let's play a quick song just to see how the audio plays back on this.

This is at full volume. That sounds pretty good. Let's go ahead and go do a real, quick call, actually I keep forgetting a person hold takes us into the recent application. Double pressing takes us in. So here is the dialer: let's go and bring it up and let's go ahead and dial six one.

One just to kind of get an audio quality on the other side speakerphone, so sound is pretty good. Now the sound is so strong that you actually can feel it in the back, but other than that I think it looks perfect again. Both of these devices are companion devices, so the services that transfer between the two as far as calls will automatically go through as long as you have it connected together, but to be able to use less state of message foraging, you do need to use message plus by Verizon, so the pixel three did not get any updates' information right now, I'm going to go through and set it up and, of course, download and make sure that the message plus application is installed over all what you're getting here really is just one of the best experiences you can get from Google yeah, not now right now, and we're gonna play just a quick song for you guys. This is again the same song that I played on this one, no question about it. The sound quality is amazing.

The cameras, as extension to you guys, we do have triple cameras on this I'm gonna, say and don't allow so. The back camera is pretty standard. This is the 12 megapixel sensor that we have from Google, and it definitely has one of the best cameras. We do have portrait mode. We have picture mode video mode and if you go under more, you have lens slow-motion and settings and I think if I go through and put in an update, we'll be able to get the night shot as well-built in now.

Switching over I'll go back into the portrait camera, and we're going to go ahead and switch over to the front-facing sensor, and this is where it becomes unique. You guys could see me right now and if I'm able to push it back all the way you can fit so much more now, I did an unboxing on the pixel 3 that I would receive at the pixel 3 XL. For the most part, it has very much the same experience with the exception. Obviously, or the form factor so definitely check that video out I'll link that to you guys in the description below the pixel 3 is definitely a very nice phone. I'll link you guys again to do the unboxing and initial video sample that I did from the pixel 3 XL, giving you more of a deep type, with the exception, obviously that the form factor is slightly different, I'll be smaller display and a 1080p panel as opposed to a quad HD.

That's pretty much the main difference between the 3 XL and the 3, and as far as the palm phone I think this is really the gem in this entire unboxing. There's a lot more potential to come out of this. This is more than what a regular 8, let's say, LTE connected Smartwatch can do you can run native apps. You can take videos, you can do phone calls as usual, you can with the watch, but this is a little more like a small form-factor phone with all the power of a phone in a small size, and the reason why this is so functional is that it has its own SIM card, and it is a companion to your main phone. So I can, in theory, leave my pixel 3 at home and then go out and just enjoy using my phone, basically, the palm phone and still get all my notifications on my calls that normally would be coming to the pixel 3.

That's really the main benefit here. So it is a companion. You do need to add it to an existing line and there is I think a monthly fee that you have to pay for, but I'm going to get a chance to play with this. I'll. Give you guys, of course, my full thoughts in the full review, hopefully in about a week or so I can subscribe as usual.

Let me know in the comments below what would you like to know more or for me to focus on in the full review for this device, of course, very excited about the palm phone. This is again a unique form factor, unlike any other phone, that I have a box. Does the tiger I'll see you guys in the next video and hope you guys are having a great day.
