Did we just Settle with the OnePlus Nord N200 5G?

So the OnePlus really skimp on the uh word in 200. I say they did um. I do rate this device still at an um 8.5 or so I do give it about 8.5, but at the same time I think they could have done so much more with this product instead of giving it this processor that they have given it um. They for some reason, chose to do uh a snapdragon 480, which is an eight nanometer chip uh for the real techies out there. It is the newer supposed to be the more power and probably more efficient chip, they would say probably uh, but I don't buy it. I think a six nanometer chip uh, which would have been an 11 or a 600 series, 11 nanometer chips, obviously would have been better because when I compare it next to the TCL 20s, it has that that chip in there, the 600 series the 665 to be exact uh and it um it.

It performs better than this device. This is one of those OnePlus devices that you know you'll, be surprised that it doesn't run as smooth as some other um OnePlus devices, and it's kind of surprising to be honest, uh but uh. This is what they chose to do so they chose to put this snapdragon 480 in here uh and uh, grab the attention of and actually they're grabbing, the attention of the techies out there, because the consumers, consumers don't care about that. I've actually watched several reviews on this device, and I've gotten several opinions or way people feel about this device. Now I've been using this device for roughly two weeks or, however long it's been out, that's how long I've been using it uh and uh.

It's its been a good device overall, but what I've found is that when it comes to handling um a lot of my tasks, I'm I'm definitely used to having you know: 12 8, gigs of ram, I'm totally used to that uh. I can tell because I'm getting the slowdowns from this device, and I'm kind of like whoa, you know come on. You know I need to. I need to get going come on, let's go and uh I'm feeling it now. I'm feeling it now um it's unfortunate, but it is what it is if it's not a pixel or certain devices where the software is optimized great, and I never thought I'd be saying that about an OnePlus device um.

Furthermore, I just think they skimped on the processor, which makes it look like they skimped on the device altogether. Furthermore, I'm playing this game here. For this conversation, video, uh and I'll switch off the game in just a second, but I just want to show you. You know the device itself like this. First um, you probably notice a few frame drops, and I don't normally you know, mess with frame drops and all that kind of stuff.

I don't I don't mess with that um I just like devices for what they are uh- and you know this device is no exception. It is a good device uh, it definitely can hold its own when it comes to um, you know doing daily tasks and things like that, it's just I've noticed that it's just a little slower. It's that's! That's all. It is it's just a little slower uh than the norm from what um you know. My one-plus devices like this.

These two devices are ridiculously fast uh, and you know they. You can tell that these are fast devices. They they they're, they're, fast. No, no infants are butts. These are fast devices compared to uh this one plus word n200 and um yeah.

I guess that's the way it's going to be. This device does cost the least amount of those devices. I just showed you uh the nine and the nine pro, but I think when they cut corners with this device, you know they could have done um, not a better job. I would say I guess they just could have put an older chip in here and techies would have complained, but now that we have it with this newer chip uh. It's not that impressive.

When it comes to like performance and things that I wanted to do compared to other devices that I have in the same price range uh and that that's just what it's about, so I compared this next to the TCL 20s and the tcl20s is the better device. It's optimized better. It does have that 11 nanometer chip, and it runs a lot faster. So that's to be expected because it's an it's just a better chip. All together, it's in the 600 series processor, so did OnePlus cheat us.

No, they didn't cheat us. Do. I recommend this. If I still, of course, I do uh. If you got it free, I'm sure you're, probably not focusing too much on the slowdowns or the difference in performance um.

If you're, especially if this is your only phone, you don't you probably can't really tell, but you know it's a- is the slowest experience I've had uh on an OnePlus device. I've never had an OnePlus device that I felt was sluggish until now, and they've really cut some corners on here they take away the alert slider. They put the fingerprint reader in the power button. Um, you know they got. This hardware is actually pretty decent um.

They just bring the one color here uh, you know they chose to do it like this, and this is actually beautiful, but um the cameras. Here's another thing where I think they kind of skimped on us is the cameras man. They this. These cameras can't record in 4k. They do have decent footage, but after some testing now, when I initially got this, I did the live, unboxing and everything it's great, but that's over, and I'm using this regularly and the camera system on here is definitely not the strong suit, especially the front cameras.

Now it can do 1080p and then that's it. You know it doesn't go. It doesn't even do 1080p60, and we've discussed this via myproject13 discussed this uh, and you know we both kind of came to the same conclusion- that it would have been nice for them to have uh put in um. You know 1080p 60 at least that would have been one being really nice and they chose not to do that um. But you know what do you do? You can't force a company to add something in there that you think should be there based on the price uh, and I'm I'm really hoping that if in fact they do decide to make a well, there is a word to word two.

But the word two is based on the original nor duh, and so we know what that's about, so we're hearing some better specs on that, but isn't even coming to the US. That is, that remains to be seen. We don't we don't know if it's coming to the U. S. I don't know if it's coming to the U.

S. , but they cut corners on the processor. They skimped on the cameras, because the process are more than likely and then day-to-day tasks and everything just feel different on this device. It just doesn't feel as smooth as all of my other OnePlus devices experience, even the other word that I had uh it just the word 100. It didn't feel sluggish like this uh and I don't know what that's about but yeah.

I still rank this device an 8.5 because over overall package, those things that I mentioned, they don't kill the device yeah it's not as speedy, but that's just because it's not speedy. For me, you see what I'm saying so um the cameras yeah, they don't record in 4k or 1080p 60, but that's just what a purpose is what I would prefer. The quality is still fairly decent on these uh and, and that remains to be seen now. The front camera is definitely the weaker point of this phone. After doing some extended testing, but this device- and when I say weaker, that doesn't mean that it's a bad horrible front camera, it's just that it needs to be in the right lighting, like most cameras do today, so OnePlus did a fairly decent job on this device.

Uh and the real review process comes from after using the device. So yeah you get your initial impressions, but then, after you use the device for a while, you really start to see the strong suits and the weaker points of a device and that's the way I choose to review devices. Now I will tell you about updates or anything that happens in the future with this device. I still recommend it, though, if you can get this device, especially for free. If you can get this for free, it's a total win.

You know I traded in an old flip phone, literally traded in an old flip phone, and I got this phone for free. That's just a gimme. It's its definitely worth being free, but if I had to label it after using this for a couple of weeks now, and I had to label it with an actual price based on how it's performing for me, I would label it at about 99, no more than 149 bucks right now. It retails for 240 at one plus I've got links down below. If you decide to pick it up, uh and um, you can get it for free through T-Mobile, at least at one point at launch you could, you can get it free if you trade it in any working phone, uh and um, you can get it free through metro and stuff like that too, I believe, but it's also, if you can't get it free, you know through T-Mobile, or you don't have anything to trade in its only nine dollars a month.

If you choose to finance it, and it's 216 dollars full cost. This phone is, and that's not far off from my 149 top of the line price and again that's just based on my experience, comparing it to phones that cost the same, or you know about the same or just maybe a little more five ten dollar difference. This device is clearly a perfect, solid device, beautiful hardware man, I mean it's, it's really nice, but I think the fact that they chose to put this processor inside here kills it for me. It is makes it, so it's not as good as what it could possibly be. That's my only gripe about this device at this point, the processor inside kind of killed it for it um, and you know that limited a lot of things on the device so still 8.5. For me, top of the line price I would go was 150 bucks, like I said before, it's a really decent device and not one plus best offering uh, but I still recommend it man.

I think it's totally worth looking into, and it's not just a phone that I only give to my mom reach my dad and get to my child I'll, give this to pretty much anybody there are no limits on whom I will offer this phone to um, but I still say it's its it's totally. It's totally worth no more than 150 bucks based on its personal experience. Now, if you have, if you have this phone, and you have to rank the price, no matter how you got it, even if you got it free like me, you still need to award a price to it. What you think the actual value could possibly be. So if you have this device um.

What would be your price? You think you wouldn't want to go over it based on using it now for at least two weeks or, however long you've had it so Schumann j. I hope you guys enjoyed OnePlus, did a fairly decent job on this one. Just the price will drop on this for sure and um, and then you'll start to win, but early adapters. If you end up paying full cost for this, you still win because it's based on your experience. This is my experience um, and you know this is where I stand right now about two weeks in so what do you think about the OnePlus word n200 5g? I think it's the overall great phone um uh.

I took my sim card out because I'm I'm testing something else at the moment, but yeah stay tuned for that video too, but um. Furthermore, I did compare this next to the uh, TCL, 20s and uh. Furthermore, I believe that video is out by now uh so check that out. Furthermore, I prefer the gcl20s over this device for sure um, but um. That's just my personal experience with this.

So it's your man, j. I hope you guys enjoyed another discussion- video OnePlus word in 205g. I hope you enjoyed this one, and please comment down below I like to see your energy in the comments see in the next one. Take care.
