BlackBerry KEYone Battery Replacement By TechOut

Good afternoon, recalling here with tech out today we're going to be doing a battery replacement on my blackberry. Q1 is powering off right now, so I think it's battery up on eBay for about 35 dollars and actually came from this person right here. Um Li, let you tech, Li, TU, the CH comm is the sellers name. So there's that if the battery doesn't suck I will link you to his eBay store, he has batteries for a bunch of different kinds of phones. This one did come with some tools, so we have a little screwdriver a plastic pry tool which is gonna, be very important for getting this battery out because it is glued in pretty heavily from what I've seen a little guitar pick style, pry tool, a suction cup, probably not going to be relevant for this repair, but it is included and the third little screwdriver I'm going to go ahead and take my case off Mikey one I purchased this key one one bay used, as you guys saw if you watch that video. So that's where that came from um.

This battery is not manufactured by the same company, but I. Don't believe it's uh I, don't know it was made on 10:17 from the warranty. Well, it says: weren't you worried of change, but I'm not gonna. Take that off. It does say it doesn't, have the BlackBerry logo on it.

So I don't know if this is an official blackberry battery just manufactured by a different company um, but this manufacturer is dumb. I'm gonna, try to say it's on the battery um and then this one was beer ID, let the unburied company limited. So that is the difference there. So for this we are going to need to take out see these two screws right here. This is what holds the battery connector in.

Like I said this battery is heavily glued in here um, so you're going to want to be careful not to puncture the battery, make sure you don't use any metal pry tools when trying to get the battery out. You know you don't want to bend it and puncture it too much, because you will have a bad day and I. Don't know what other screws took up, because it was not the other one, and I just took two out so I, don't know what that came from little. Okay, so the two screws drop I'm going to stop the video pry this out, real, quick, and then I'll come back once I get the battery out. Okay.

After a bunch of protein prying and heating it with a hair dryer. We have it out I'm, going to reuse this glue, I'm not going to peel off that and glue it down even more because if I need to take this one out, it's just going to be a pain um. So I'm going to put this on and plug it in and turn it on see how it goes. Okay, new battery is in get it all plugged in um. I did have to peel up the adhesive because it was falling out the back without it on it.

Wasn't sticky enough with the old stuff and I didn't want to flop around on the back cover. Um I did order a new back cover as well because the clips on this one, but you saw my previous video are bad I'm. Sorry I knew one of these coming and the phone is alive. So we were good to go I'm just going to put on the bottom here. I did have to take up on a plastic piece off to pry the battery out, so she did put that back in and put the screws back in, but other than that the battery replacement is complete.
