Apple Watch Series 6 vs SE: Which Should you Buy?

Hey guys its crystal and today is a happy day because I have a couple of the brand-new apple watches with me and some new bands too. I got the series six, the SE, so we're going to open them up, compare the differences and see what they're all about and no, we didn't get new iPhones this week, but we did get these alongside some new iPads. So if you want to check out my quick recap of the Apple event this week, I'll link that down below and let's get to it- so, let's start with. Oh, I already see it the red box, the red series, 6 Apple Watch. This is a 40 millimeter in red aluminum. I'm really excited to see this color in person.

It looked amazing on that event, stream, and obviously it's product red. So it's for a good cause. Let's see how it looks. Oh, are we going to get a special box? I see some red. I want to open this properly there we go.

Look at that red wow. The product red box is so pretty that's beautiful, a plus unboxing experience see. This is where the watch is here. It is in its beautiful red packaging. This is the first product red Apple Watch.

I believe yes, it is and look at that wow. It is perfect. You know, like I always say this, I'm not the biggest fan of the color red, but it always looks good in person. Let's set it aside for a second, we also are going to have some paperwork in there: okay, okay and the charging cable. Yes, my friends, there's no charging brick in the Apple Watch boxes, which I'm actually very happy about.

I always appreciate apple going green, reduce, reuse, recycle, and you know, honestly, there is no need for that extra brick when you already have one and of course we also have our red band, I'm gonna quickly, open it up and put it on the watch there. It is product red all the things wow, looking beautiful, something about the red on the red together makes it look even better. It's just like one color. I love the look of that. Okay and before I turn that on I'm also going to open the Apple Watch.

Se. Here we go, we have the 40 millimeter gold, aluminum, plum sport, loop, Apple Watch, I see open it. I feel like there's not going to be any. This is just going to be like the regular, oh regular, cute Apple Watch box. Everything seems so much slimmer without that charging brick in there we go.

This gold looks different, the gold aluminum- I don't know if I've ever, I feel like the gold aluminum used to be more pink. Looking before now, it's more like of a bronze gold that looks beautiful. Remember when you get a new Apple Watch. If you shop through the Apple Store, you can do the whole little creative, customization studio thing where you pick the watch with the band that you want, and they'll package it and send it to you like that. Oh, this is.

This is very, very, very fall vibes right here we got red and this plum color. You know me, I love me some fall that looks so good. I feel like it looks so good with my shirt right now, series 6 and SE and honestly on the outside. They don't look any different and just for a size comparison. I have another series 6 in the blue, aluminum 44 millimeters, so we could take a look at how that 44 looks next to the 40.

This is in the blue paper wrapping, oh man, you know everybody's saying this. Might I mean it's probably going to be one of the new iPhone 12 colors and I think that's gonna. Look really, really good. It's not like super blue is not like in your face, blue. It's like toned down and looks perfect, but before I set these up, I also have some new bands to take a look at guys.

I am excited to see what these are about, because they're the solo loop bands, so I have two of the white sizes here white solo loop. We have a size two and three, I'm going to see what's the better fit for me and if you're deciding which size is the right fit for you with these solo loops apple has a little guide online. You can print out, cut out and size your wrist to it to see what fits you. So I'm just hoping that this size, two or three will fit right. Oh my god! Oh, it's so flattering I love the scratchiness to it.

I have a white sport band on my series, 5 watch and definitely not the same type of silicone. That's what I was most worried about, that it wasn't going to stretch enough, but I mean it. It definitely does. Oh, this is so nice. I love this.

This is the perfect fit. It has like a little of wiggle room, so it's not like. Like super, super tight, I am curious. I might as well see the size three or anything. I just want to see yeah.

Definitely this size too, but just to be sure, make sure you guys, like don't take it by, like my sizing, make sure you print out that little thing and put it around your wrist and see what fits you the best. I love it. I love it. Furthermore, I'm going to get so many of these. This is gonna, be my new favorite band, I think, and while we're at the new bands there's the braided solo loop, also another one that I just.

I just have to. I just have to see it. Furthermore, I said this in the last video, but if you guys want to watch van hall, let me know in the comments I kind of just want to do that, so this is like a braided material and the inside. Is that same like silicone? So it's like it's just wrapped in this handedness, and it's beautiful now there's a couple new features that I'm really excited to try out on the series 6, but before I do that if you're wondering which one to pick up or if you don't know if it's worth paying extra for the series 6 on a basic level with the SE, it only comes in aluminum. So you don't get this stainless steel option.

You also don't get that new red or blue aluminum. Apart from that, the three biggest differences that you're going to see between the SE and series six is no always on display with the SE. So you'll have to lift your wrist to view your display, no blood oxygen sensor and no ECG. They of course have different processors. The series 6 has a s6 and the SE has a s5 processor and in terms of performance, they're, really not going to feel that different.

It's just those big things that I mentioned surprisingly. They do share a lot in common, and I think the best way to think about it is the SE is going to be a pretty significant upgrade over the series 3 which they still do sell for 199. But I think if you can make that jump, the SE is going to be worth it. So one of the biggest new features on the series 6 watch is that blood oxygen sensor, so I'm going to hop in and just test that out for the very first time right now, let's see how it does. This is obviously something that's very, very important for this year.

It's good to know where your blood oxygen levels are at, so it's good that you can just check it on the go. So let's see okay watch is not too low on your wrist should be snug and comfortable. It is snug and comfortable. Keep your watch facing up and try not to move resting. Your wrist on a table can help I'm pretty, pretty comfortable like I am so, let's start six five, four three oxygen: nice for most people.

I think you want to be above 95, so that's amazing. I guess I'm pretty good with that something I'm really excited to test out on a day-to-day basis. It's always on display outside, because it's supposed to be two and a half times brighter. So I'm curious to see if I notice any difference, but let me know in the comments below, if you guys have any questions for the full review and something else that's new here is also those watch OS faces. I'm going to be going through some of them and posting some of my favorites on Twitter.

So make sure you follow me on there. If you haven't, I'm actually going to post some workout updates throughout the weekend, I'm actually ready to do one right now, so that's it for now. Thank you guys. So much for watching, don't forget to subscribe, and I'll see you later.
