Apple Watch SE Review: The Best Value Apple Watch?

This is the Apple Watch. Se, it's apple's newest introduction into their smartwatch lineup. It was just added a couple of weeks ago, alongside the Apple Watch Series six and coming in at just 279 dollars for the 38 millimeter version. It finds itself right in between the 200 series 3 and the 400 dollar series 6. So the question is for that price point: what does it offer over the series 3, and what features do it lack that can be found on the series 6. , but before we dive too deep into the specs? If you just want to know my general opinion about the SE, I really like it.

I use my watch SE, just like I used my Apple Watch Series 3 and my series 5. It has great battery life that will last me 2 days pretty easily it's perfect for tracking on my runs and overall, I think it provides a lot of value at a really great price, but is it the best bang for your buck Apple Watch that you can buy? I would say yes and no, and I'll get into that in just a minute. So, let's start with the comparison to the series 3. Back in January, I made a video claiming that the Apple Watch Series 3, was the best deal in tech and I still believe that for 200 you're getting a really nice watch, but now that the SE starts at just 80 dollars more, I think the SE is the better buy for that extra eighty dollars, you're getting a thirty percent larger display you're, getting that s5 processor, which is about twice as fast as the s3 processor. In the series three you get haptic feedback with the digital crown, fall detection, a compass and an always-on altimeter and Siri also talks to you with the second gen speaker: hey Siri, what's the weather, it's currently clear at 81 degrees, so I don't know about you, but those extra features for just 80 more are more than enough to sell me on the SE.

But when you compare it to the series 6, it's a little tougher of a choice for 120 more than the SE. You get the always on display, which is actually a pretty noticeable difference. You'll also get the 20 faster, s6 processor, which I'm going to be honest with you. Furthermore, you won't notice the difference, but the main upgrade is with the health features, so the Siri six has the electrical heart sensor, that's able to take eggs, and it also adds a new blood oxygen sensor, although that does have some mixed reviews so far in terms of its accuracy, regardless, these features are pretty important. The ECG has been known to actually save some people's lives in the past.

So if you want to stay on top of your health, then the series 6 might be worth it. However, it does still cost 120 dollars more and for 90 of people. They would hardly notice the difference between the SE and the series six. So I do actually think that the watch SE is the best bang for your buck watch that apple sells, but that doesn't mean that it's, the best value Apple Watch out there. So back in June, when I lost my series 3 after jumping off this cliff at the lake, I was able to pick up a brand new 44 millimeter Apple Watch Series 5 on sale for just 329 from Amazon.

Now, with the series 5, you get. The main features of the series 6 like the always on display and the electrical heart sensor, and the only things you'd really be compromising on- are the blood oxygen sensor and the always on altimeter. So if you could find a series, 5, maybe pre-owned or maybe on sale for that price, which shouldn't really be too difficult. Now that the new series 6 is out, that is, in my opinion, the best Apple Watch you can buy for the money anyways. This video was supposed to be about the Apple Watch, SE and there's really not too much to say about it.

It's a great bang for your buck option for your average consumer. But if you want to know more about these new solo loop bands, I recently made full reviews of those that will be linked up in a card up above so check that out. If you're interested thanks for watching, and I'll catch, you guys in my next video.
