ZTE Blade X1 5G | Unboxing and Detailed First Impressions #ZTE

That is just a beautiful, beautiful display man all right, guys, welcome back to another video of shaman j, so it's time to start a new journey with the blade x1 5g, and this is a phone that was uh recently launched um in January for visible, and then I think it says it's on yahoo mobile too uh, but uh the devices actually uh should be pretty impressive um. So this is uh packing a 6.5 inch 1080p display 48 megapixel camera on the back six gigs of ram snapdragon 765 g and a 4 000 William hour battery. So this should be pretty impressive. How can I get this out of here? Lets kind of drop it forward a little there we go uh, here's the device- you probably just have a charging brick in here uh and um. That's probably here's a type c cable and a charging brick bit big charging, brick um fast charging. Let me see what this fast charging is: uh, 18 watts, 18 watts, and you have a type c in there as well.

So I don't use any of these things, so we're going to get this fired up, I'm going to get it all set up. Uh and um we'll go ahead and tell you how I feel about this thing here. Let's get this ugly sticker off the backs, and I can give you some hardware I'll show you the hardware here. So this will be a device for sure that uh definitely is going to be hard to keep clean, but you can see the four camera setup on the back right there. These cameras uh, are 48 megapixels for the main shooter.

It appears, and it's a wide angle lens coming in at f, 1.8 uh, and then you have an 8 megapixel ultra-wide and then a 2 megapixel and a 2 megapixel for depth. So you have macro and depth at 2, megapixel uh. So on this side here you have a power button. So I'm going to hit that power button. You got your volume rocker your little camera on the top up there, you got a speaker grille up there, and you got an uh sim tray up top microphone up there as well.

Microphone down here, type c, uh yeah. I love their startup that they do it's pretty cool, uh yeah. The fact that it has type c is good all in its own, so I'm going to be using this on visible, so I'll go ahead and pop this in, and I'll get this set up and uh I'll be right back, and we'll take a walk through first impressions, all right guys. We are back with the second part of this video, and we're going to go ahead and show you the devices I'm saying I'm weaving I'm going to go and show you the device. So I got it set up the way I want it.

Uh and I've got applications installed. I got some things that I'm definitely going to use on the front page got a couple of games installed. I wouldn't show you those in this video um. So let's get into settings here. There was absolutely no bloatware on this device.

To my surprise, everything on here I installed as far as apps and everything though uh. So here we are in the settings. As you can see, I did turn on dark mode again. I have this set up, how I'm going to use it, so I want you to pay attention to the battery first here. It says that I have approximately two days left and that is going to be some fantastic battery on this thing now I have been using it for a little over the last hour or so since I did the unboxing portion, and it's been great, I charge it to 100 after I, after I got everything set up, and I still play with it a little but uh.

You do have ultra power saving mode on here, and I think that is fantastic. That will give you 69 hours. If you choose to turn that on, and I will be testing that in a separate video as well, so battery is going to be important now you do have NFC like I said you have 128 gigs of storage, uh, that's just two things that people, you know it's just baseline, and you also have a SD card slot. So bear that in mind when you're, when you're checking this out so going over the features and options I turned on the gestures. It was default with the virtual navigation, but I prefer the gestures on your screen record.

It was default to medium and I put it too high and those only changes I've made in here. Obviously you can schedule power on and off, but here's some more gestures that you could possibly do. If you want to so uh on the display. You can see right now. It's currently at 58 percent.

You can. You can crank that up. If you want to it's on auto, but gives you some sense of how bright it's going to go, and then you have the dark theme. Like I said I do have that turned on. You can see how that looks.

Without the dark thing all right, you got your natural colors and everything you can do boosted. You can do adaptive is where I'll probably leave it at, because I didn't mess with that. Yet obviously you got your wallpapers in here tons of wallpapers. It came by default with this wallpaper right here, a nice wallpaper uh. I just changed it to the other wallpaper I was trying to scan through and see some wallpapers that I could possibly like.

I actually like this one right here, but let's go ahead and switch it to let's switch to this wallpaper right here. This is a nice vibrant, uh wallpaper that really shows off how beautiful the screen could be uh. So there's your wallpapers, and you got your font size. You can make that bigger or smaller. You got your display size, so you can make that bigger or smaller, easy mode.

We all know what easy mode is applied: a simple home layout. That's all! It is now don't mistake this from uh for the ultra power saving mode. So we'll turn this on real, quick, and we'll, you'll see what this looks like this is. This is easy mode right here, so we don't want to mistake that from ultra power, saving mode, and I'll show you what ultra power saving mode uh looks like uh now, because ultra power saving mode uh it is gives you limited battery uh. It gives you more battery, but it gives you limited icons and apps, but with the easy mode you still get full range of everything, but you just don't get um uh you, you get the jumbo size so on.

Here you get just these six, so let's get out of here all right, all right, so um, um volume, you know that's the should you have to serve and all things like that, so you got your memory. Here's your memory, um I still have over 100 gigs left storage is something that I think some people tend to um feel like they need just 300 gigs on their phone. I think it's about managing your current storage that you have most people don't have tons of storage on their device, and they're managing it just well, and you also now have cloud storage uh, but you know most people do like to have some a good amount of storage on their device and I think that having uh 128 gigs, it should be minimum since we're it doesn't matter what year it is. I guess at this point that probably should have been the minimum years ago. Uh, so this is earning android 10.

Let's check for updates real, quick. Let's check for new system update. Oh, there's a system update, okay, cool uh, all right. I wasn't expecting that uh, so um, so there's an update, that's the current version, so I guess it'll update from there uh and uh. Let's go back to smart updates, let's just let's just install them automatically uh but uh.

So there's a software update, we'll go down to about and check out the um uh see where we're at. We are on October 20th um security pass. So it's definitely probably going to be a security patch update. So uh, let's go ahead and do some uh gaming. I started a game and I closed out of it.

Just you know the 765g is a fantastic processor. We know this already uh. You know it's going to be able to handle whatever you throw at it, pretty much a lot of people frowned on the 765g initially because it wasn't a 865g which is weird but um yeah. I really want to show you some gameplay, so we'll do some gameplay real, quick I'll play hawk 2, because I really like hawk um yeah hulk is a lot of fun. It's a good, a good way to kill some time, but this game will play on here, and you shouldn't have any problems, but you never know I mean, so we have to uh play it just to test it out to see it's still going to make me do the little tutorial.

That's fine! Let's pass all these guys up right, they're out of there all right, good gameplay, as I thought I didn't notice, any frame drops, but you tell me if you did, if you noticed some frame drops, let me know uh, let's fire up hulk, I hadn't fired up hawk yet because this doesn't take us long to install or to get going, let's just play but yeah. I'm I'm pretty impressed with this, and we'll look at the cameras, and I'll show you the camera interface. Next I'll give you official camera review soon uh, but uh we'll definitely take this out and uh. You know we'll give it a run like we do all other phones on the channel. This is one of my favorite games to play.

I really like this game man, it's because it's not that it's easy, it's just simple to play, and it still gets kind of difficult when you get up in the levels. But it's not something. That's uh! You know people think this isn't a graphic, intense game, but it's a fun game. Basically, these are the types of games I like to play. If I'm going to play a game on my phone um or asphalt one or two all right, let's pause this we'll get back to it and let's take a look, quick look at the camera interface deny you don't need my location, so um! Oh, is this current orientation? I like that.

Ah, okay, it's letting you know! I haven't seen that before. So you got your wide right there. It shows you right there. You can see how wide that got so uh. It's got uh, auto HDR, let's go into settings.

Real quick resolution is at four by three, but you can also put four by three about 48 megapixels. Unless you know it there, you can add the ZTE watermark. You can add the date and time let's go and do that you got AI camera composition. You've got gradient. Some of these things double touch power key.

I I I do not like turning that on alright. So let's go back and let's go into video. That was photo. Let's go into settings for the video and the resolution is going to be up to 4k 60, oh wow, I didn't know this went up to 4k 60 on some websites. It shows 4k, 30.

Definitely gonna! Leave it right there. Now. You obviously can't do stabilizer with 4k 60 um. You know, but still wow, that's going to be pretty nice all right, so yeah, 4k, 60 man, I'm loving that. So you got more option here.

You've got manual, okay, cool uh document scanner, that's nice! There's your macro, yeah slow motion, mono and panorama. So pretty cool you've got portraits, got it got it. You've got night, and you've got what's called both. You can adjust the aperture down to what you want uh, but um. I think that um when it comes to portrait and both okay, roughly there's portrait is for face.

Basically, it looks like you're saying bouquet is for that, but you can do a basic portrait or both shot with a macro lens too. So I'm going to take some photos and uh, maybe a quick video, and then we'll get out of here. Alright guys hope you enjoy all right guys. So here's the rear, camera um remember this phone has microphones on the top and bottom. So if you're recording with it be certain not to cover them, I'm just kind of doing a handheld right.

Now, I'm not doing any kind of official tripod or anything like that. Again, like I said for the front video, I like how ZTE phones kind of sharpen certain areas when you're when you're doing especially faces it, really sharpens up and gives you a lot of detail. But what do you guys think about this footage right here? These are real brief samples. I will do an official video later on the cameras, alright, so just going to close out um yeah the cameras to me. Look fantastic man for video.

I will test photos in another video, so there it is man, my first impressions of the blade, x1 5g, definitely pretty nice uh, and I will see you guys in the next video first impressions of the blade x1 5g I like it. The fingerprint reader is really fast to see that it's really nice, it's really fast. So I get it see that you can kind of see the screen light up. Let's go yeah, that's a pretty! That's a pretty fast screen, uh fingerprint reader uh overall man. You know if I had a con right off the rip, it's just going to be the build quality uh, not the build quality, the color uh, the color of the device.

Is it my favorite, because it's just going to show a bunch of uh fingerprints. Oh, one thing before I get out of here: let's get into um, let's get into a video real quick, so you can hear the sound so go to my other channel. So it's a little of a windy day, but I want to give you guys a quick vlog. I passed 1500 miles uh, and it's been great. I can scale up to 4k um.

If you didn't know YouTube now, lets you scale up on any phone. They finally release this uh. You don't have to have a 4k display like our Sony device, you can actually scale up to 4k on any device, and I do it anyway, even though this isn't going to be real.4K footage try to get as clear as possible, and I do want to race a couple of cars uh. So funny story already I was on the highway. Uh speaker is pretty good.

I mean um, it's an it's a bottom firing speaker. It would have been nice to have stereo speakers on this thing, they're known for having stereo speakers. This does have DTS sound, so you know bear that in mind uh. But you know speakers sounds fairly. They sound pretty good, uh, no complaints, it's a loudspeaker.

I mean the lg wing has a loudspeaker, and it's really loud uh. This one has a loudspeaker, and it's going to be good enough for most people watching movies and things like that. The screen is absolutely beautiful. Let me turn the brightness up here. There we go.

That is just a beautiful, beautiful display man of a beautiful car anyway issue, man, j hope you guys enjoyed. This is the CTE, blade, x15g and so far it's awesome. It's 385! So it's competing right in the realm of uh. Let me see OnePlus nor duh Poco phone uh, my 485g, which is over behind me. It's its competing with a lot of phones out there.

So you know we'll see how this turns out. It has a good processor, it has lots of ram memory and so far stock android it's rolling right along so hope you guys enjoyed a little of a lengthy video, but you know how to do on first impressions I'll, try to give you as much as you want to see in the first impressions- and this is how we do it smartphoneconversations. com, that's the plug, be sure to hit it up, and I'll see you the next one take care.
