Is, the ZTE blade 10 a good phone to buy well in this video we're going to find out hi everyone. This is Kevin here coming at you with my ZTE blade 10 review now. I do want to disclose here that I did get this phone with my own money. This device was not sent to me, but ZTE has sent me phones in the past, so I do want to make that really clear before diving into this now. This device is available for $1709.99 at ZTE usa. com, and it is available factory unlocked for GSM carriers.
So if you're in the US, this is gonna work really well with AT&T T-Mobile Metro by T-Mobile cricket and smaller GSM carriers like mint mobile now, the device features a 6.3 inch display at 1080p with a 400 PPI and a 19 by 9 aspect ratio. It features a teardrop notch here at the top, which houses the 16 megapixel front-facing camera. The device has 64 gigabytes of internal storage with SD card expansion. There is no wireless charging with the phone, but it does feature a fingerprint sensor on the back, so we'll try that out right now. So there you quick there with the fingerprint sensor also on the back, are the camera modules, so we get a 16 megapixel main camera and a 5 megapixel secondary camera.
With that secondary camera, we get portrait mode which we'll be seeing a test of later on in the video now the device features 3 gigabytes of RAM and has the MediaTek hello p60 processor. Now, if you've used MediaTek processors in the past, don't be concerned, because the hello line of processors is actually way better than anything else that MediaTek has ever put out and this processor, the p 60, is actually really quick and smooth. So I'm really happy that they did include it here with the blade 10, because overall, it does give good performance. Now, I did run into to benchmark test for the device and got an overall score of 167 2 to 4, with a CPU score of 70 to 249. So a pretty solid score.
There make sure to check out my comparison, videos that I did put this device up against some of its competition, like the LG style, o 5 and Samsung Galaxy a 20. Now, video recording with the phone maxes out at 1080p at 30 frames per second I'll, be showing you some video samples from it a little later in the video. It features a three thousand two hundred million power internal battery, which is decently sized, but not quite as large as some competition like the Galaxy H 20, which has a four thousand William hour internal battery, but even with three thousand two hundred million powers of battery capacity I've been able to get a solid day of usage with the device and the phone features a near stock version of Android 9pi, and what's nice too, is that the software is very well optimized. It runs very smoothly. The performance of the device is very solid and definitely is reflective of that an tutu benchmark score.
So I recommend that you actually run that in to do benchmark score on your current phone, so that you can see how that score compares to the score on this device. Now the display on the phone is a bit brighter than how it appears in this video. Then I definitely like that. The display itself is 1080p because it's really clear and does look really nice I think it definitely will satisfy probably about 99% of people out there, especially for a phone in this price range. Now the design of the ZTE Blade 10 is pretty similar to other phones that I've covered on the channel in the past, basically having a teardrop notch at the top and a little of a thicker chin at the bottom.
When viewing the device head on. It almost looks like identical to the human digit X and the galaxy, a xx which is pretty interesting, but I suppose that this design is really what's hot. In 2019 now earlier in the year, I actually saw a preview to this phone at Mobile, World Congress in Barcelona Spain, so they had at that show, and it was in February 2019. They had the ZTE Blade v10, which is kind of the international variant of this device and I even made a video about it, so make sure to check that out on the channel. But over the summer they apparently prepped this phone for a US launch, but essentially they took that design of the ZTE Blade v10 made some changes to it and then recently launched it in the US as the AT blade ten.
So they dropped the V from the name and I actually liked that they did that, because it makes the name of this film consistent with the other phone that ZTE launched there recently, which is ZTE axon, 10 Pro. So we've the axon 10 for flagship. We have the blade 10 for mid-range, so ZTE really offers something for everybody. But you can see close-up here. Everything looks super crisp and clear with the display.
I'll show you a test of YouTube on the phone in a little, but let's take a deeper look at the hardware here, so on the left side of the phone we've, the slot for the SD card and SIM card. If you do put a micro SD card in the phone, it will support up to 2 terabytes of size, so very impressive. There, then, on the right side of the phone. We have the power button which is in red, and we have the volume button. Then, on the top of the phone we have the 3.5 millimeter headphone jack and the noise-cancelling microphone. Then on the bottom of the device we have the microphone.
We have the USB-C port for charging and data transfer, so definitely nice to see that it does have USB-C, and we have the speaker then, on the backside of the device we have the camera module. We have the flash. Furthermore, we have the fingerprint sensor, which is extremely quick, so I'm very happy with that fingerprint sensor. It's find one of the best fingerprint sensors that I've used on a budget device. We have the ZTE logo and a nice piano black finish on the rear of the phone.
Now it's definitely a fingerprint magnet, but I do think it looks very attractive by the way. If you hear a leaf, blower outside it looks like the landscapers are doing some landscaping, but that's not gonna. Stop me from making videos so watching video content on this device is where it really shines, because you are able to view videos in 1080p. That's definitely something that you can't do with competitors. Actually, the two phones in this video, the humidity x and galaxy, a 20, because both of those phones are 720p, so you have to compromise of having LCD for the display, but you get 1080p.
So there's definitely a clear bonus there with having that instead of having 720p but the speaker. Quality on the phone is very good as well. Definitely gets the job done, not quite as good as what you'd find if a flagship device, but still I'm, very happy with the speaker quality from the phone. The phone is good for both casual gaming and moderate gaming for games like Pusey mobile, so whether you play pub G mobile or something lighter like Candy Crush you're going to have a good experience with the device. Now I've been very impressed so far with the photo and video quality from the ZTE Blade 10.
The front-facing camera is definitely one of the best that I've seen from a phone in this price range. You really are able to take great-looking photos that popped and if you were to post them on Instagram or Facebook or wherever nobody would know that these photos have been taken from a device. That's under $200 I wouldn't go as far as saying that the photo and video quality is as good as what you'd find with a flagship phone like the galaxy s, 10 or iPhone 11, but definitely for a phone at under $200. This device is a class leader. If you do take a ton of video content, though you might want to consider going with a flagship instead, but definitely for photos.
This device is really able to produce some great-looking results. Let's now go over to some video samples from the ZTE Blade 10 hi everyone. This is Kevin here coming at you with a test video from the ZTE Blade 10 using the front-facing camera. So let me know what you think of both the video quality and the audio quality from the video really interested in know what you think about it. But this device does have a 16 megapixel, front-facing camera, so I'm expecting to get pretty good video quality from it.
But let me know what you think in the comments section below hi everyone. This is Kevin here coming at you with a test video from the ZTE Blade 10. Let me know what you think of the video quality from the device, as well as the audio quality from this video using the phone's internal microphone, I'm, gonna pinch-to-zoom right now. This is for time, digital zoom, and now we're back to normal. Try out some autofocus in video mode as well looks like we do get autofocus in video mode, which is nice.
But let me know what you think of the video quality. So is the ZTE Blade 10 a good phone to buy I think it is. It definitely checks off the boxes and the places that really matter and for me at least that's performance and camera quality. Now I do wish. The phone did have 4 gigs of ram versus 3, but since it does have the MediaTek hello p60 pairing that with 3 gigs of ram, has actually given me good performance, you're able to easily scroll through web pages and view content on the phone pictures do pop and look good.
The colors are nice as well, and since this is 1080p, everything is super clear. The camera quality with this device is also very impressive, and you're going to be able to take some of the best selfies out there with a phone. That's under $200. That's for sure. So, there's really nothing to complain about for this phone, considering that it's only 170 9.99, there's, probably only two things that I wish this phone had. One I wish it had a brighter display for the price.
This definitely does get the job done, but if it was a little brighter, that would be nice, and I wish. We had a wide-angle camera on the back because that's a feature that the galaxy 820 has that I definitely like a lot, but I think the good camera quality, with the existing cameras on the phone do make up for not having a wide-angle camera. But let me know what you think about the ZTE Blade 10 in the comments section below and if you want to buy it then take a look at the link in the video description and head over to ZTE usa. com, but I hope you enjoyed the video. Give me a thumbs up.
If you liked it and I will see you in the next one.
