HI THERE, WELCOME TO OUR CHANNEL SO Last year, ZTE released the first smartphone with under-display front camera. Truth be told, the camera quality on Axon 20 5G was not that great. However, it still worked just fine. If it weren't for its under-display camera, the ZTE Axon 20 5G would be quite an ordinary mid-range Android phone. Anyways it was ZTE's way to test this technology and being called the first company to make it available to masses. Now, just five months later, ZTE is already prepping the follow-up to that device called ZTE Axon 30 Pro with some major improvements.
ZTE is also expected to launch vanilla axon 30 but at the moment the details are scarce so lets continue with the pro variant. Firstly The under-display camera is expected to receive a significant upgrade. Gizochina in an artice writes - According to the official introduction, ZTE has adopted core technologies such as ultra-high-transmittance micron-level new materials, independently driven screen display chips, and highly integrated minimalist circuit design to avoid the interference of complex lines on the camera, improve the front shooting effect, and cooperate with the original natural pixel arrangement. The display is more natural. SO basically what that means is the camera will take more natural photos unlike Axon 20 which took blurry smoothening photos.
Next is the processor - while Axon 20 was a midrange phone, the Axon 30 pro will receive the sd888 flagship chipset. This will allow it to stand tall with other 2021 flagships. There is not much information available regarding the processor on the Axon 30. Moving on to the next improvement - leaks suggest the phone could come with an as-yet-unreleased 200MP sensor made by Samsung. Yes, thats right, a 200MP lens and guess what the new Spectra 580 ISP on sd888 supports 200MP cameras.
SO this might very well be the first phone to come with 200mp camera. according to tipser WHYLAB, The sensor's size is said to be 1/1.37"(to) and The pixel size is 0.64µm while the effective pixel size is 1.28µm when the 4-to-1 pixel binning is applied. Its also said to support 16k video recording. We also have some leaks regarding the display and battery According to the user,@Thegalox - The phone will get a 6.9" 120Hz display with either 1080p or 1440p panel. The device will be powered by a 4700mAh battery.
As far as the launch date is concerned, we speculate ZTE may debut Axon 30 lineup right after Chinese New Year on February 12. But that remains to be seen, as there is no official confirmation on this. So thats it for today, hope to catch you in the next one Peaceout.
