Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Waterproof Test By Geardo

Hi everyone welcome back to gear. Today we will show you a quick water test on Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 mobile phones. When unboxed you get a charging adapter cable case and the manual Redmi Note 10 is coming in snapdragon 678 chipsets, with the Arduino 619 GPU and featured the 6.5 inch super AMOLED screen, and it comes with a plastic mid-frame and rear cover. Alongside gorilla, glass, 3d protection on the front screen and Xiaomi officially claims the device is coming with ip53 certified for splash and dust protection, but for certain reasons either way. Ip53 certification does not entirely help to prevent water damages against the device anyways. Let's try basic waterproofing test on the phone.

Let's begin with the shower test, once the water starts pouring into the screen, it creates its responses, but the functionalities are still intact. The coating is helping to isolate the water droplets on the screen. Let's continue the testing, but still there is no change in the functionalities. It seems the ip53 certification is standing firmly on this phone for further testing. Let's place the phone into a small tank and fill it with water.

We are not sure this device is capable of receiving this much of water intake. Nevertheless, let's start it so far by the outlook. Redmi Note, 10 is doing good just halfway through and suddenly the phone power went off. There is no response to the power button or any other, and, as you can see, the water droplets are coming through the charger port and speaker grille, and it seems the phone got crashed. In conclusion, the Redmi Note 10 can survive with splashes, but it is not suitable device against excessive water, protect the device and even splashes, sometimes can produce issues.
