Xiaomi Redmi 9A Unboxing and First Look [English Subtitles]

Hello and welcome to ReviewsPK! My name is Ameer and this is our unboxing of Xiaomi Redmi 9A and its feature highlights. This phone is Xiaomi's most budget range phone. And the sponsor of our today's video is also Xiaomi And all the phones that I have covered on this channel till now, among them, this phone is one of the lowest priced phones. The retail price of the phone is given as Rs 14,600/- and it will start arriving in the offline market from 16th July 2020 but on 15th July, 2020 websites like PriceOye, daraz. pk and mestore. pk will also have a flash sale for this phone.

And I'm leaving the links to it in the description box. This phone comes with a single variant 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. And its takeaway features are a huge battery and a budget gaming Octa-core processor. The build of Redmi 9A is of plastic which is totally normal for this price range. The back finish seems like matte from afar, but very thin circular ridges are made on it which gives the phone this matte finish look and not much fingerprints are visible on the phone either.

And this ridged back endure scratches better as well. At the top left side on the back, there is a curved rectangular camera module which includes a solo shooter and an LED flash. If we talk about button placements and ports, on the right side, the phone's power button and volume rockers are present on left side, there is a SIM tray whereas on the top, there is a headphone jack and at the bottom side, there is a mic, micro USB port and a speaker grill. There is a 6.53 inches IPS LCD display in Redmi 9A with an HD+ resolution, which is 720 x 1600 Where the pixel density is 269 ppi. The maximum brightness of the display, according to Xiaomi, is 400 nits.

And over this display, inside this dew drop notch the selfie camera of this phone is present. If we move forward and talk about the specifications and internals of this phone, as I mentioned in the intro, one quality trait of this phone is its processor. because MediaTek Helio G25 is given in this phone, which is based on a 12nm architecture. Along with it, Power VR GE8320 GPU is present. Now the special thing about this processor is that it is an Octa core processor, which is designed by MediaTek for gaming purposes.

Most of the other competitors in this price range, are seen with a Quad Core processor, therefore, you will notice a great difference in the performance of an Octa-core Processor here when you will do gaming on this phone. So as compared to a Quad Core processor, an Octacore processor will always perform better. Along with that, the 2GB RAM in this phone is also a DDR4X RAM, which we usually don't see in this price range. And that will also add on to the enhancement of the performance. The 32GB storage is EMMC 5.1 storage, and you usually get this type of storage in this price range. And if we talk about expansion, then there is a Full Dual SIM support in this phone.

Meaning, you can insert two SIMs and a micro SD card altogether in it. A face unlock feature is also given in Xiaomi 9A, and its speed is seeming fine to me on first look. Moving forwards, if we talk about interface, then Xiaomi Redmi 9A comes with Android 10 out of the box, with Xiaomi's own EMUI 12 over it. Moving forwards, if we talk about another big selling point of this phone, then like I mentioned earlier, a big battery is given in this phone. It is of 5,000 mAh in size! And alongside this, the phone comes with a 10W charging brick.

These both are very pleasing things. We don't notice fast charging in this price range because those types of internals are not possible in this budget price range. But still, a 10W power brick is indeed, far better than a 5W power brick. If we talk about charging time, this phone will take 2 hr and 45 min to 3 hours to get from empty-to-full charged. But once this phone is full charged, then its 720p display, Helio G25 processor along with a combination of big battery, it will give you an exceptional battery life.

I will not be surprised if it gives you 1.5 to 2 days. And if your usage is very light then it might even give you 2.5 to 3 days as well. So if your usage requires a lot of battery, either your profession demands it or you are unable to charge your phone multiple times because of your day-to-day usage, if you travel too much, or anything else like that, for all such things in Rs 14,000/- to Rs 15,000/- price point with a 5,000 mAh battery this phone might be a good option. Moving forwards, we will talk about the camera setup of Redmi 9A. There is a solo camera at the back which includes a 13MP Main Sensor of f/2.2 aperture. Whereas, at the front side there is a 5MP selfie shooter of f/2.2 aperture. In front and back, both cameras, the maximum video recording resolution is set to 1080p at 30 frames per second.

So now, if we talk about my initial impressions, then Xiaomi has dominated greatly in the budget and mid range segment market because of its amazing features. Usually, Xiaomi phones offer better features in lower prices and we are observing the same thing throughout Rs 15,000/- to Rs 60,000/- price range. Where Xiaomi has gained its name in the Pakistani market that a "Bank for Buck" or "Value for Money" kinds of phones are being released by them. The two features of Xiaomi Redmi 9A that I liked, that I also mentioned in the video, is its processor and its big battery. In my opinion, if you require a decent performing phone in this price range which has a good battery life, and a better processor than other competitors for this price range then my recommendation would be that you must try Redmi 9A.

What are your thoughts on Redmi 9A? Do let me know in the comment section below. That is all for this video. I hope you liked it. I will meet you in the next video. Goodbye!.
