Xiaomi Mi Band 5 One Week Review - 3 MAIN Things You MUST Know!

Hey guys welcome back to another video with LIM reviews in today's video. I want to talk a bit about the band 5 that I've been wearing here for almost a week now, and I've been using it every day throughout the entire one week. Like I put it on to sleep, I use it to track my activities and show my notifications, so in this video I think that is the three main things that I want to focus on, so that you know what you get into before you purchase something like the mi band 5. So I know a lot of you guys, there's probably a lot of videos out there on YouTube talking about the band 5, but in this video I just want to focus on that three points number one: the activities that it tracks number two, the notifications and number three, the most important thing battery life all right. So in terms of activities that we track on the mi band 5. , let me start off with the one that I like the most, and that is actually the sleep tracking.

So first things. First, you notice that the mi band 5 is actually very slim and has a nice profile on your wrist. So it's very comfortable to wear. When you go to bed. It is unlike having a full-fledged smartwatch on your wrist that feels like heavy thick and chunky.

So the minivan 5 is very comfortable to put on to bed and the thing is it tracks your sleep very accurately? So what I mean by that is the mi band 5, not only tracks your sleep at night. It is also capable of tracking your naps in between the day, for example, if you take a nap in the afternoon, you will also see that kind of information in the mi fit app itself. So it's very good because it's very accurate I've tried a couple of days now. For the past few days, I've been sleeping, taking some kind of naps here and there just to test it out, for you guys and the naps actually was being tracked very accurately. So that's something that I love a lot on the mi band 5.

So, apart from that, in terms of tracking again, let's talk about the heart rate tracking here, so the heart rate tracking on the mi band 5, is also pretty good. What I mean by that is uh in previous versions. I think some of you might have complained that the heart rate tracking actually still goes on, even if you do not have the mi band 5 on your wrist. But there is no such issues here. The mi band 5 tracks your heart rates very well, it only tracks.

You only see the kind of heart rate information when you're actually wearing the band, so I can show you very quickly here on my me fit app that when I do not wear the band, it actually does not show any kind of hard information at all. So it's very good. Apart from that, I've also cross-checked the information of the heart rate. With my blood pressure monitor and the results coming out are pretty consistent, so I would say that the heart rate tracking here is pretty accurate. So, apart from the sleep tracking and the heart rate monitoring, we also have the activities tracking, and this is where, once again, it functions very similar to the previous me band 4 in such that the mi band 5 doesn't come with GPS, so it will still rely on the GPS from your smartphone.

So obviously, if you're using a decent smartphone these days, you get some proper GPS tracking. The step counter also seems to be pretty accurate. I've actually won like the Miliband five, as well as another amazing watch itself. When I went out for a quick run and the step counter was pretty consistent, so nothing much to worry about that there all right. So one thing I found pretty cool about the mini band 5 is the stress tracking, monitor.

I found that actually pretty accurate. So there's this stress tracker in the mi band 5 itself and what it does here is it actually tells you how stressful you are throughout the day. So I found this pretty interesting because when I was editing this particular video in the video that you're watching right now, I realized that my stress levels actually went pretty high, even though I was just sitting down pretty relaxed on my seat, but the stress levels showed that I was actually quite stressed doing the video editing, so another situation was when I was in the same exact position, but this time I was just watching like Netflix and it was so chill and my stress levels are pretty low. So I think I'm not sure how Xiaomi does it on the mi band 5, but I would say that the stress level, tracking kind of thing actually kind of works. Okay, so those are the three things that I really like about the mi band 5 in terms of tracking your activities, I think it's a very good activity tracker if that is something you're looking for moving on to my second main point, which is the notification, so I just want to touch a bit on this here, so the mi band 5 does provide you with notifications.

Like your messages, your WhatsApp telegram, WeChat and all that, so you get all those notifications directly on the mi band 5 itself, so with the slightly larger display here on the mi band 5 compared to the mi band, 4 you're able to see like this- maybe one more word of text, but it's still pretty helpful here. The sad news here is that you still cannot see emojis on your me band 5 and one more thing I noticed a lot of you guys are asking is that whether you are able to answer calls on your me band 5? Obviously this doesn't come with a mic, so the only thing that you can do when a call comes in is either choose to reject the call or silent the call on your me band 5. You can't talk to your wrist or the mi band 5. It doesn't work that way, there's no microphone in there. So you can't answer your calls there.

You still need to do it on your phone. Okay. So that's it about notifications once again, nothing much to talk about here. Last but not least, I want to talk about the battery life, so this is something that I think a lot of you guys might want to know. The truth about the mi band 5 is that it will only last about 6 days on one full charge, so the advertisements has been showing that me band 5 will be able to do 14 days two weeks on a single charge, but in reality this is what I've tested out.

It will only last you six days guys remember that six days- and this is how I use my me band 5, so I have it most of the time on my wrist. I wear it to sleep and track my sleeps. Apart from that, I get a decent amount of notifications every day, a calls and not many calls, but mostly messaging. So apart from that, I also actually don't use the highest brightness levels on my me band 5. I have like the third or fourth-highest level in terms of the brightness, and I actually also turn down the brightness before I go to bed.

So that's definitely saving the most battery, but all in all, I just want you to know that this is about one week of battery life that you will get from the band 5. , so don't expect it to last like two weeks or whatever other people are quoting because this is what we get. Of course, if you don't use that had many notifications, you don't track your sleeves. You use it to a bare minimum. Battery.

Life will definitely vary based on your actual use case, all right guys. Last but not least, one final question: should you buy the mi band 5? I think this is what you need to know if you're already having the mi band 4, it is not really necessary for you to upgrade to the mi band 5, but if you still don't have any smart band or smartwatch, and you're looking for something to get into for your first time, I think the mi band 5 that costs only about like 20 plus dollars, is actually pretty affordable and something that you can actually try and get yourself into the smart band game all right. I think those are the three main topics that I wanted to cover today: the activities being tracked by the mi band, 5 uh, the notifications, as well as battery life. Furthermore, I think these are pretty much good enough information for you to know whether you want to buy the mi band 5. All right guys.

I think that's it for this video. If you want to see like a full, in-depth look at the mi band, 5 itself, I've already done a previous video like last week. I think you can check it out I'll leave the link down in the description below. If you still have any questions, feel free to leave them down. In the comment section below, and I'll see you guys in the next one bye.
