Xiaomi Mi 9T vs Redmi K20 Pro Comparison Review

What up guys, Miguel here of Yucatan and there's really been a lot of Xiaomi crazes in the past few weeks, especially with the coming of the 90. Well, since the 90 is just a global, read me K 20 in this comparison review we're putting the standard. Read me, K, 20, up against the Xiaomi me 90. So first up is designed. The Xiaomi me 90 sports, a 3d curved glass bag, exactly like the red mickey 20 pro. So what this 3d curve does is actually left in this case, both the devices rest comfortably in your palm and honestly they both do just that.

Our me 90 is in the glacier blue color option, which is the cooler counterpart to OK 20, pros flame red color. Both these devices are available in either color and for a more stealthy look, there's also a cool carbon black option too. At the back of both devices, you can find the rear, mounted camera modules. Both devices have them placed in the center of the back, which does make the overall design look as symmetrically pleasing as possible. One thing that's different here is the branding the k20 pro kind of makes more sense here, because the 48 megapixel tag next, the holographic accented camera on the 90 can be a bit misleading I mean the excepted.

Camera is actually the telephoto, so yeah in front. You get a true all screen display on both devices, and this is of course achieved by utilizing a pop-up selfie camera that doubles down as an LED notification indicator for buttons and ports. Exactly on both devices, the volume rocker and power button can be found on the right side. Up top aside from the before-mentioned pop-up light-up selfie camera, you can find a noise-cancelling mic for speakerphone, as well as the 3.5 millimeter audio jack at the bottom. You can find a dual SIM card: tray noise, cancelling mic for your regular calls, single diode firing speaker and a USB type-c port for charging and data transfers.

So no you don't get any expandable storage on both devices here now, I'm, not to sure which device wins here in terms of design, because they're pretty much the same, but I'm going to go ahead and give this to the k20 pro. Just because of that miss Li forty-eight megapixel tag under me. Ninety moving to display both devices share pretty much the same six point: three: nine inch, full HD, plus AMOLED all screen display the slight difference comes from the K 20 Pro. Not only does it get an AMOLED panel, but a Super AMOLED one and at first glance I, don't really see much of a difference here, but if I really tried I guess the K 20 pros display is a bit stronger and contrast. But it's really no biggie.

In my opinion, for display protection, both devices get Gorilla Glass 5 protection on board. So that's good, especially if you're a klutz with your phone. When it comes to media consumption. You can't go wrong with any of these devices here because again, they're both pretty much the same and honestly the display is pretty sweet, since you don't get any obstructions here. At all, both devices also have the same signal downward firing speaker and they both aren't the best single speakers I've heard from a phone, but at this price point it's pretty much acceptable, I envision most users for both these phones to be enjoying their music wired in okay.

So for display it's actually gonna, be a tie for me here. The Super AMOLED panel and the k20 Pro doesn't make such a big difference compared to the nineties panel, so yeah checking out performance now for hardware. The Xiaomi me 90 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset and an adrenal 6 1/8 GPU k20 pearl, on the other hand, gets the flagship level Snapdragon 855 and then Arena 640 GPU I guess it may seem in this case that red flames burn hotter than blue for configurations. The 90 is available with 6 gigs of RAM, plus 64 or 128 gigs of internal storage. With the K 20 Pro, you can get 6 gigs of ram plus 64 or 128 gigs of internal storage or 8 gigs of ram plus 128 gigs or 256 gigs of internal storage.

For software, you get Android 9 pie out of the box skin with me, UI 10, on top for both devices me UI feels like a pretty efficient interface that doesn't tax on the battery so much and in terms of design I do actually like it. The problem is I, don't feel comfortable on me UI, and it's really more of a preference thing here when it comes to performing regular tasks. You won't see much of a difference here, but when it comes to gaming, I'm pretty sure it's obvious that the 90 is bigger, Chinese brother. It takes the cake here I'm. This is supposedly the polka phone -.

After all, for those interested in benchmark scores, I'll have them flash on screen. Now, when it comes to battery both devices shared the same four thousand William hours cell and the same 18 watt fast charging capability in her standard video loop test, which entails the phone being at 50%, brightness, 50% volume, airplane mode turned on and with headphones plugged in the, 90 yielded 18 hours and 53 minutes, while the k20 pro got us a crazy 27 hours and 36 minutes, that's 2-day territory, people when it comes to biometrics. You get optical facial recognition as well as an optical in display fingerprint scanner on both devices in terms of unlocking speed they're, both again pretty much the same so expect the same level of security for both as well so for overall performance I think it's pretty obvious I'm, giving it to the k20 Pro for its flagship, chipset, an amazing battery life. Last, but not the least, the cameras, starting with the rear, both devices get a triple camera setup, composed of a 48 megapixel main shooter and 8 megapixel telephoto, and a 13 megapixel ultra-wide on the front facing side of things. Both devices also share the same 20 megapixel sensor, starting off with this.

First, shot of our RGB Ram. It seems that having the exact same camera, Hardware doesn't mean you get the exact same result here. I noticed a very minute difference in dynamic range, but nonetheless they both look good in this next shot. I instantly prefer the K 20 pros image. Overall exposure is better and dynamic range as well is a notch.

Better I also prefer the overall color reproduction on the K 20 pearl here we have the same shot from the 9 SE comparison and as I recall, the SE handled is shot by bumping up the contrast a bit more here. We can see that, like dummy 90, we still get a bit of a haze here on the K 20 Pro, though, like in the S II comparison I'm, giving this the K 20 pro for having a slightly more contrasted image that I do prefer in this shot. In this next shot. You can really see the difference in color reproduction here. The K, 20 pro's shot also looks more vibrant, in my opinion, for portrait mode.

We have a rail here and, if you zoom into his hair, you can notice that the subject background separation of the K 20 Pro is better. Skin tone can be a bit of a preference, but I do again prefer the K 20 pros shot -. Maybe the beefier processor is behind all of this I'd like to think so checking out night mode. Now this shot was obviously taken indoors. With all the lights off, the only source of light was coming from our workstations I'm not going to lie the k20.

Pro does have more overexposed highlights, but its image is also brighter. If you focus on the empty chair, you see more details in the shadows of the key 20 Pro compared to the 90. Now. To conclude this comparison, we have to talk about price. The Xiaomi me 90 comes in two configurations, the difference being in the storage option, so for the six gigs of ram for 64 gigs of internal storage.

That will set you back. Fifteen thousand nine hundred ninety pesos, the 128 gigs of internal storage variant is priced at seventeen thousand nine hundred ninety pesos. On the other hand, the Redmi k20 pro starts a 2499 yuan in China and can go up to two thousand nine hundred ninety-nine yuan. That's relatively a price range of around nineteen thousand pesos to twenty-two thousand pesos. When converted now I, don't know for sure.

If there will be a 90 pearl, but if there is, you probably want to wait for that one. But if you don't mind not having flagship power, the ninety should do you just fine, so yeah, if you don't get that the K 20 Pro want this one for having marginally better performance and the cameras are actually kinda better — in my opinion. So what do you guys think of this smartphone comparison? Xiaomi me, ninety or read me k, 20 pro.
