We are comparing them in terms of display performance, camera design and battery, so stay tuned and find out which one is, in our opinion, the better phone. If you'd like to see more videos like this feel free to subscribe and hit that notification bell. Let's start straight away with our review. Let the facts: peak performance, the Huawei, mate 40 pro has 256 gigabyte internal storage capacity.

It is equipped with its in-house produced high silicon, pure 9000 chips and has 8 gigabyte ram. The storage capacity can be expanded with another 256 gigabyte, there's also a 128 gigabyte and a 512 gigabyte version available, but that depends on the country you are in expandable. Storage capacity is something that is rare in most of the new phones. This one still has it. Let's take a closer look at the mi 11 ultras performance.

Next, the mailed alter uses the Qualcomm snapdragon 8008 chips with the power efficient, 5 nanometer process technology. It offers 12 gigabyte ram and has a storage capacity of 256 gigabytes. The storage capacity, unfortunately, cannot be expanded. Huawei's own processor, the giro 9000 against his snapdragon 888. It is always interesting to see how processors from different manufacturers perform against each other.

The mate even has less raw power. Let's see if that helps the Milan Volta to win this category benchmark test. Here we go. The an tutu benchmark is benchmarking the performance of both phones. The tests are divided in three phases: a performance test of the ram it tests, how the device is handling, two-dimensional, graphics and an endurance test of how the device is handling 2d, graphics, okay.

That was an easy one again for the m11 ultra. Let's see if it's still that easy and the geek bench test. The second test is from geek bench. This app will measure the performance of our smartphones in terms of CPU and GPU. In the end, there was one point on each side: I guess you know what that means in this category.

We have no other way than calling this a draw. Camera. The Xiaomi mi 11, auto, is equipped with a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50, megapixel wide angle, a 48 megapixel ultra-wide angle and a 48 megapixel telephoto camera its front camera has a resolution of 20 megapixels, the mi 11 ultra records 8k videos at a maximum of 24 frames per second and, of course, features optical image stabilization. I don't know if you have watched our other comparisons of the m11 alter, but this camera is crazy. Before we compare them.

Let us take a closer look at the setup of the mate 40 pro the mate 40 pro uses a 3 rear camera system, an ultra-right with 20 megapixels a wide with 50 megapixels and a telephoto camera with 12 megapixels. You can find the ultra-right, 30, megapixel front camera in the upper left corner of the screen and a pillbox cut out right next to the 3d depth version camera. It records 4k videos at a maximum of 60 frames. It also has image stabilization for video. Both phones have good camera systems but which one is actually the better system.

Let's take it to our camera test and, let's find out which one does a better job. Comparing the pictures taken in daylight conditions is how we start as usual. Our camera comparisons, the mate 40 pro comes across as slightly brighter than the m11 altar, but in the brightest part it also looks a little blown out. Let's move closer into the charge, so the contrast on both looks equal, but the mate looks definitely way more pixelated. The m11 altar looks clean and sharp.

The plant again looks really pixelated on made side the plant in Miami's image isn't in focus, but that doesn't mean that the meat doesn't do a good job. It just shows that it has a more shallow depth of field. The nighttime pictures again looks a little brighter on made for the pro side, which lets you recognize more when again moving closer into the chart. Still, the me11 also has the sharper image. The plant actually looks pretty similar in both pictures, except that the plant and mate's image looks more saturated and brighter the front.

Camera's image looks equally good, but again the mate looks more saturated, but the white balance looks better and Xiaomi selfie the Huawei Mate 40 pro has a 5 volt optical and a 54th digital zoom feature. The Xiaomi also has a 5 volt optical, but comes with an incredible high 120 volt digital zoom, okay, so thoughts are good. Now, let's switch from photo feature to the video feature to find out which of these two phones takes better videos. What you can see- and here is the quality of the Xiaomi mi 11 ultra video recording. We set it to the highest possible quality.

Let's see what the competitor sounds and looks like what you can see, and here are the quality of the Huawei Mate 40 pro video recording. We set it to the highest possible quality. Let's see what the competitor sounds and looks like in terms of sound quality. The mate definitely does a better job. The MIG catches a lot more background noise regarding video quality, the mi11 ultra is sharper better saturated and has more contrast.

The mate looks good, but a little less saturated, which lets the skin tones. Look more pale now, let's crop in a bit in post, to see how that looks like well. The differences between recording, an AK on the mi 11 ultra and the 4k on the mate becomes visible. The mate cell looks good, but the mid still remains more sharp at 10 times. Both look pixelated, but the mid still has a tiny bit more details showing when it comes to slow motion.

Videos, the Milan altar is capable of shooting 1920 frames per second videos and full HD, whereas the mate 40 pro is capable of 480 frames per second in full HD and up to 3840 frames per second and 720p. The mate does an overall good job, but the mile altar simply does a better one. The overall color, rendering and sharpness is in all categories better, except maybe in terms of the front camera image. Okay, the made slow motion feature is incredible, but to be honest, how often do you shoot slow motion? Videos well to keep it short. This is a win for the mi 11 ultra display the Xiaomi mi 11 ultra features a 6.81 inch, two color display with a 1440p quad HD with illusion. It uses an AMOLED screen which creates very natural colors.

The m11 ultra therefore measures 17.29 centimeter diagonally with a pixel density of 515 PPI. The display also has an adaptable, 120hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1700 nits and features Dolby Vision. What a great display next up, the slightly older made for the pros, display the mate 40 pro has a 6.76 inch display with a 1 344 p resolution. It also uses an outlet screen which creates very accurate colors. The 6.76 inch display, therefore, measures 17.17, centimeter diagonally, with a pixel density of 456 PPI. The Huawei has a 90hz refresh rate okay, so the mate is clearly one of the last phones that was released with less than 120 hertz refresh rate.

So it's obvious that the mi 11 alters has the upper hand here, despite that, it also falls behind in terms of PBI resolution and size, an easy win in this category for the mi 11 ultra battery, the Xiaomi mi 11. Ultra has 5 000 William hours, the mate 40 pro has 4 400 million powers in terms of fast charging. The mate 40 pro offers 66 watt, while the mi 11 also has 67 watt. Wireless charging is with 67 watt possible on Xiaomi's side and only 50 watt. On the mate side, both phones have got reverse wireless charging capabilities.

The mi 11 autos has a bigger battery and should therefore last longer, let's find out. If that's true. Well, we couldn't actually find a battery comparison between these two phones, but we found one between Xiaomi's base version and the mate 40 pro and in this one the make clearly outperformed Xiaomi space version and since the ultra ls is only slightly longer than the base version, we assume that the mate also clearly outperformed the older version. That means that the Huawei takes home. The battery life point design the Huawei Mate 40 pro has a clean design with a matte finish.

The three camera system is well positioned in a ring on the upper center on the back of the phone like most phones, the camera bump is pretty big, but since it is more centered, it tends to wobble less when it lies on a flat surface, the smartphone weighs 212 gram, it has an USB connector and thanks to an ip68 rating, it is water and dust resistant. The mate 40 pro uses a fingerprint scanner which is built into the screen and face recognition technology to unlock the phone. Both technologies were great. We already mentioned it a thousand times. The camera ring looks like and the Xiaomi mi 11 ultra is not just a name.

It's a model. The phone has gorilla glass vectors in the front, a ceramic backside and everything is framed by aluminum. The camera bump is situated at the top of the backside, and it is eye-catchingly huge. The reason for this are the three pretty big camera lenses and a 1.1-inch secondary screen. Its main purpose is to function as a notification display to show time and battery status, even when the phone is upside down.

It also works as a screen for taking better selfies and music controller. The smartphone weighs 234 gram. It has an USB connector at the bottom and if you are an acoustic junkie, Cherie has got you covered on another end, though its dual speakers are manufactured by the experts of Harman Kardon. The phone also uses an end screen fingerprint sensor and AI face recognition, technology to unlock the phone and, unlike the base version, the mi 11 alters, is also ip68 water and dust resistant. We are kind of fans of the overall design approach in Huawei's phone, even though we really don't like the pillbox cutout in its display.

The m11 alter has definitely a sophisticated design and comes across as high end. I mean it is still the Chris flagship phone, but we are still no fans of big camera bumps and main is incredibly huge. So in the end we go for the mate 40 pro, which wins this point. Let us know what you think in the comments below team space circle or team big bump conclusion. It is conclusion time again that means counting the points to find a winner.

The mate 40 pro was released in late 2020 that reflects on its display, because the very newer me11 altar beats it in every aspect and took home. The display point funny is that the mate was able to outperform the in one of the performance categories. The mate was able to hold up and scored one of the benchmark tests that we put them through. That means we had to call the draw, and this one both get a point. The huge camera bump had to be good for something the camera in it.

Let the mi 11 ultra defeat the Lacey system inside the mate another point for chummy in case of the design. The bump again had us aside on going for the mate point for Huawei. Last but not least, the battery life comparison the mate one also the last point, even though it has a smaller battery, it lasted longer than the m11 ultra everything counted together. We have three points on each side. That means, overall, we have a draw in this comparison.
