Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite VS iPhone 12 Camera Comparison - Surprising Results!

What's happening everyone, my name is Alex and welcome back well. Today's camera comparison is a bit more unusual, and you can even call it unfair. So you have the Xiaomi mi 10 lite. In many ways this is a budget phone, and then we have the iPhone 12. So massive price difference in between these two, but I figured this is going to be the best way to show you what this Xiaomi can do when compared to a flagship- and this way you know exactly what you're getting so throughout this video we're going to see a bunch of daytime pictures. As always, I've included some portrait mode pictures.

We have Zoom pictures taking the ultra-wide lenses. We have a bunch of nighttime pictures, and I was quite surprised by the nighttime pictures that I took with these two devices. Furthermore, we have sample videos and up towards the end, some selfies and with that being said, I think you should press that like button before we do anything else and start by checking out some portrait mode pictures alright. So after looking at the portrait mode pictures that I took, I have to say that I was quite impressed by the edge detection that we get from. The pictures taken by the Xiaomi is just as good as the edge detection that we get from the iPhone 12.

Now keep in mind. I don't have that much hair, so not that difficult to do, but still pretty good for a budget device. Now, looking at the colors and the details of the subject, which is basically me, the iPhone 12 does better. So it makes the subject pop a bit. More so definitely choose the portrait mode pictures taken by the iPhone 12, but you could easily edit those pictures from the Xiaomi and make them look pretty good as well.

So considering the price difference, I think the Xiaomi does pretty decent next we're moving on to some zoom pictures and keep in mind that neither device has a telephoto lens, so the zoom pictures is basically just digital zoom, and I've done three times: um digital zoom. Basically, and looking at the pictures here, I almost feel like the Xiaomi does better in every single picture than uh the iPhone 12. , maybe they're, using a bit more contrast to make those pictures look sharper. But in my eyes the zoom pictures from the Xiaomi do look a bit better. But what do you guys think do you prefer the zoom pictures from the Xiaomi or the ones from the iPhone 12 definitely leave a comment, and let me know all right, then we're moving on to pictures, taking the ultra-wide lenses on the back of these two devices.

Well, first, the iPhone has a somewhat wider field of view, so you can see a bit more in those pictures for dynamic range. The iPhone 12 seems to do a bit better in every single picture, but sharpness wise. They are pretty similar, not to mention that in some of those pictures I actually prefer the colors from the Xiaomi over the colors, some from the iPhone 12. So once again, I have to say that I was quite impressed by this Xiaomi and the ultrawide pictures that I took. But what do you guys think do you prefer the pictures from the Xiaomi or the iPhone 12.

Once again leave a comment and let us know, and we're moving on to pictures taking the main lenses on the back of these two devices and funny enough in almost all the pictures that I took, the Xiaomi seems to get better dynamic range in those pictures, so you can definitely see a bit more in the shadows, um from the pictures taken by the Xiaomi as for colors. Once again, I kind of prefer some of the pictures that I took with the iPhone some of the pictures that I took um on the Xiaomi so for the main lens during the day at least, they are pretty equal to me and either device. Some does really, really good. But what do you guys think do you prefer the pictures from the Xiaomi or the iPhone 12 for the mainland definitely leave a comment, and, let me know next: we are moving on to some nighttime pictures that I took with the Xiaomi and obviously the iPhone 12 and both devices support a night mode for the ultrawide lens and for the main lens, and first we are starting by checking out the pictures I took with the ultra-wide lenses- and here is where I was the most surprised. So every single picture taken by the Xiaomi with the ultrawide lens seems to be sharper than the pictures that I took with the iPhone 12.

And even though the iPhone 12 has the brighter pictures, you could easily edit the pictures from the Xiaomi and make them a bit brighter and since they are sharper, the pictures are gonna, be better, so quite surprising to see that such a affordable device takes better pictures of the ultra-wide lens than um the iPhone 12, which is much more expensive. So what do you guys think about the pictures they took the ultra-wide lens, which ones do you prefer the most? Next we are moving on to pictures taking the main lens and here. Well, there is no comparison here. The iPhone 12 seems to do better in every single picture, mostly because the pictures are sharper and also a bit brighter, so for the main lens, no surprise there, because um apple improved the main lens on the iPhone 12 this year. So for the ultra white pictures, I feel that the Xiaomi does better, but for the main lens, of course, the iPhone 12 does better but um.

Let me know your thoughts in the comments down below which one do you prefer for the ultrawide lens and which ones do you prefer for the main lens? Next we're going to move on to some sample videos, and one thing I wasn't aware of whenever I was filming. Those videos are the fact that the Xiaomi doesn't have any stabilization whenever you're recording in 4k, so the first recording that you're about to see was done in 4k without any stabilization, because um this device only supports image stabilization for 1080p recording. So I didn't know that at that time, however, leaving that aside, the iPhone does seem to do better for most recordings um, but for sound quality. If it's super windy, the iPhone doesn't do good at all. You can barely hear the sound in those recordings, and you can definitely hear the sound more from the Xiaomi when it's windy other than that.

The iPhone does seem to do a bit better as for nighttime recordings, once again, if you're using the main lens on the back of the iPhone 12, it does do much better than the Xiaomi, and that being said, let's check all those recordings and definitely leave a comment down below, and let me know your thoughts all right. This is our first video test between the Xiaomi, me 10, tea light and, of course, the iPhone 12 for this recording I'm using the main lenses on the back of these two devices and recording in 4k at 30 frames per second. This is the maximum recording resolution for the Xiaomi, where the iPhone 12, we could actually do 4k at 60 frames per second, so we're going to stop here for a bit to pan left slowly and back right. I'm actually going to turn around all the way, so we're going to walk for a bit, so we can see which device has better image. Stabilization keep in mind.

It is a between this you're. Probably going to hear a lot of that wind and after we uh walk for a bit. I'm also going to run, so you can see once again which device does better for I'm stabilization the main lenses on the back of these two devices all right, and we are moving on to a quick video test, the front-facing cameras on the Xiaomi, mi, 10, lite and, of course, the iPhone 12. Now the iPhone 12 we can do 4k at 60 frames per second with the front facing camera. Where I'm doing the Xiaomi mi 10 lite.

We can only do 1080p at 30 frames per second and that's what you're, seeing on the screen right now frames per second with the iPhone 12, keep in mind that it is a bit doing this you're, probably going to hear some wind aside from my voice and probably some traffic to my left so yeah. This is how recording with the front-facing cameras on these two devices would look like, and I also want to show you a quick recording with the ultra-wide lenses on the back of these two devices. Now, if you are using the ultra-wide lens on the back of the Xiaomi mi 10 t light up, the maximum recording resolution is 1080p, but once again with the iPhone 12, you can still do 4k at 60 frames per second with the ultra-wide lens. So we're going to walk this way for a bit just so you can see how the image stabilization looks on that ultrawide lens. I guess we're going to turn around.

So the sun is that way ahead. So turn around this way and walk this way for a bit so yeah ultra-wide lens uh, 4k 30 frames per second on the iPhone 12 and 1080p at 30 frames per second on the Xiaomi mi 10 lite. All right. We have our first video test in low light between the Xiaomi, mi, 20 lite and then, of course, the iPhone 12 for this recording I'm doing 1080p at 30 frames per second, with the Xiaomi and 4k 30 frames per second, with the iPhone on 12 and using the main lenses on the back of these two devices. I'm going here where it gets a bit darker, I want to see how they do in um in the darkness.

Basically we'll pan left slowly, so I can definitely see a bit more on the screen of the iPhone, and we'll head this way towards my car. So this whole recording would look like if you're, using the main lens and the recording in 1080p at 30 frames per second, with the detente light and, of course, 4k 30 frames per second, with the iPhone 12 for our next recording between the Xiaomi mi 10, tea light and the iPhone 12, I'm using the ultra-wide lenses and once again, I'm recording in 1080p with the Xiaomi and the 4k with the iPhone 12. At this resolution we do have image stabilization um with the Xiaomi, and I'm also using the ultra-wide lenses. That's why it's so dark in these videos, so I can barely see anything on either screen. I can kind of see a bit more on the screen of the iPhone 12 now so yeah.

This is how recording would look like in low light uh with the ultrawide lenses on the back of these two devices. So, as I said, the beginning of this video, definitely not the most fair comparison out there and obviously the iPhone 12 did better for video recordings, and I was kind of expecting that next we're moving on to selfies and for selfies, and I'm talking about daytime selfies. First, the iPhone 12 does a bit better because it retains the details of my face better where the pictures from the Xiaomi almost have like a beautifying filter over my face. So they do make me look a bit younger. As for the nighttime pictures, the iPhone 12 does better because the pictures are a bit sharper.

So there you have it the Xiaomi, me 10 lite and the iPhone 12. Considering the price difference. I feel that the Xiaomi did perfect, and I wasn't expecting the pictures um during the day and some of those nighttime pictures would be that close or better than the pictures taken by the iPhone 12. , all right, guys, um. Hopefully you like this video and don't forget to press that um, like button um, don't forget to subscribe, and I will see you guys in the next one thanks for watching.
