This is Xiaomi's me 10 5g, and it's aiming at being the flagship smartphone of choice at its price. Now, we've used it for just around 2 days so far, and there are some things to like, starting with that color shall we call it the coral green finish and there's a nice bit of shimmer to it. Although it very easily attracts fingerprints, it's made of Gorilla Glass 5 protection from Corning, but I wish it had a matte finish because they just tend to look and feel a bit more premium in the hand, also the phone's pretty chunky at 9, millimeters, thick and 208 grams, and yet there's no room for the 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, although Xiaomi does throw in an adapter out of the box aside from your usual accessories, while the front of the phone is also Gorilla, Glass 5 protected, there's no protection for the phone when it comes to water or dust resistance, and that's a bit of a drawback. The panel itself is a six point: six 7-inch full HD Plus, complete with 90 Hertz, refresh rates and HDR 10, plus it's a Super AMOLED panels of colors are fairly rich, and it does get pretty bright. The curves off to the sides are also well done and while I'm not someone who's bothered by accidental touches, it's been controlled well so far, especially for multimedia the screen has a nice and vibrant pop there are things you can customize, but it stayed standard for me. So far now does the screen rival high-end flagships not really, but it's plenty to get the job done, especially with those stereo speakers.
This is actually the first time I've seen 2 speaker cutouts, instead of one speaker and the other being the loudspeaker, but to be honest, it's on par with most other flagship smartphones when it comes to volume, but perhaps it's lacking a bit when it comes to bass, something that'll take much more time to get used. To, though, is software? It's me you I 11, on top of android tenants. So far, I've gotten one update to April security patch, and let's get this clear. There is nothing wrong with the software from a performance perspective. In fact, you get the highest end power, including Qualcomm, snapdragon, 865, outscore chip, 8 gigabytes of ram, as well as 256 gigabytes of u FS, 3.0 storage. But things like that navigation, pane or those convoluted settings just get on my nerves, a bit but again, I've never been nitpick about software in the past, and it's not a big deal for me.
So it'll take a few more days to get fully used to this, and the app door once enabled has some pretty useful categories to arrange your applications. But I can see how me UI 11 can be a hindrance to some there's, of course, Xiaomi's blooper on there and in particular, I. Don't think that should be present so much when it comes to the overall software experience. But anyway, there's still time for me to figure things out on me, UI and plus. We might see me UI 12 on this phone very shortly and that's something to look forward to also just as a side note a special mention to haptic feedback on the phone, because this thing works extremely well and just makes the phone feel a lot more premium, but that aside, I've also tested the camera on this phone which, by the way, has some insane specifications but also in the camera.
Application HDR is turned off by default, so just make sure when you get this phone turn it on or make sure it's on auto mode, because that means you're going to get the best out of the sensor. So, speaking of the camera, it's a quad camera setup with a hundred eighty-eight megapixel primary, a 13 megapixel ultra-wide 2 megapixel depth sensor any 2, megapixel macro sensor, and here are a few samples I've taken with it so far, including a few with night mode.8K video recording is also something interesting on the phone, but it does look slightly choppier than 4k 30fps. And yes, you also get that 20 megapixel selfie camera that sits on the display, which I don't really mind, but its dynamic range could definitely see improvements, especially when taking portraits selfies. So, as I said, it's just been 48 hours with this thing and the four thousand seven hundred and eighty William hour sell, definitely packs a punch, I charge the phone once in full, using its 30 watt charging and then in short, bursts here and there. But if you're someone who's keen on wireless charging as well, this thing supports up to 30 watts and also reverse wireless charging up to 5 watts, but yeah.
So far the 10 seems like a solid device and at 2599 theorems. Its most direct competition here has to be the 1 + 8, and it does surpass it with wireless charging. Support will also follow up with more detailed camera samples and how the phone's battery lives up in the long run, but I think things are looking fairly promising for the phone. So long as you can look past me, UI 11, that's it for this one.
