Unboxing the IPhone 8 Plus: Silver…or White? By The Tech Reviewer

Hi everyone- this is Kristen, and today I'm here to do a quick unboxing of the iPhone 8 plus in silver. So for those of you that follow my channel, you might have seen my unboxing of the gold version yesterday and wonder: what's going on well, basically, I unbox, the gold and, while I thought that I initially liked it after spending 24 hours with it, I've decided that the gold is not for me, so I decided to switch over to the silver. So let's take this one out of the box and see whether it's any better okay moment of truth here, I certainly hope I, like the silver better than the gold. Here we've got regulatory information, not very exciting. We have the phone, but let's put this aside for a sec. Look at the other contents of the box.

We've got our wall. Adapter we've got our lightning ear. Pods, we have a little adapter, so you can use regular headphones with your iPhone, and we have our lightning cable. Nothing exciting here, exactly the same that you would expect. So, obviously all the excitement is in the phone.

So, looking at the front side well looks pretty much like what you would expect, but the back side is going to be the interesting bit. I've been wondering whether this is more silver or more white and I. Think. The answer is that it's a combination of the two it's somewhere in between a silver and a white and yeah I do think I like it better than the gold. Let's take off the plastic so that we can see it better, even prettier without the plastic so well yeah.

If you want to compare it to a pure white piece of paper such as the regulatory pamphlet that comes with the phone, you can see that it is not a pure white, however, it's close to white and somewhere in between silver and white. Again, it's a really nice, color and I think it looks really great. So how does the silver compare with the gold that I unboxed yesterday well putting them side-by-side? Just looking at the glass back to me, there is no question, but the fact that the silver is a more attractive color. It has a nice fresh, clean, look about it, whereas the gold, particularly in certain lights, has almost a band-aid shade about it. I read that somewhere online, and you know that band-aid thing it just sticks with you once you hear that it's hard to unfair and it this just has kind of an ugly beige color in the right light.

It looks gorgeous the gold does, but in a lot of lights, not so much now, that's not true for the aluminum surrounds the aluminum surrounds on both of them are really pretty like the color, but I think that Apple kind of made a misstep with a glass back of the gold version. I really do think that the silver is better, at least for me. I think that the silver is going to make me much happier to use over the next year so looking around here. Obviously, the sides are a metallic silver because they are aluminum. They look very nice, like the fact that antenna lines are only visible now on the sides, not on the back.

That looks much nicer, much more refined. Everything is just looking very. Very nice here feels like a very polished product. Also, we don't have any regulatory info and stuff on the bottom here, underneath the iPhone doesn't say design in California or any numbers or letters we just say iPhone and I think it has a spotless. Look I like the back of this.

The glass definitely gives it more grip than the old aluminum backs, and obviously it's a positive because it's going to enable wireless charging, which is something that I'm really looking forward to doing with my phone, so overall I, have to say I'm quite pleased with the silver, and I'm gonna stick with it. I promise I'm not going to move on to the space great tomorrow. I'm gonna definitely stay with this, because I think it's a really cool color, and it's going to go with basically all cases and as I primarily review cases. Furthermore, I'm excited about that.
