Hey, what is up guys josh here attack and real me- has done it again with the launch of their latest mid-range phone, the realm 8 pro, and it's got some solid features like a 108, megapixel camera and even 50 watts super dark charging, but if those are not in your priority list, and you're still interested in upgrading to the latest, realm there's usually an answer to that. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the realm 8, and we're going to check this out together. Give you guys a quick, hands-on and see what this is all about, so without further delay. Let's get started alright, so first things first is the box itself and if you know real me, then this signature, yellow packaging, should be familiar now at the front. There's nothing but a big number 8 right in the middle and below that is your realm logo. Moving over to the back of the box, we get a glimpse of some specs and features.
So this one comes in a 128 plus 8 gigabyte configuration and is in the cyber black color variant. There are also a few other highlights here, like a 6.4 inch, super AMOLED screen, a 64 megapixel AI camera, a slim and light design, a hello g95 gaming, processor and so much more, which we will all look at in a moment. Opening the box up will reveal the accessory packet first, welcoming you to the real realm family. The first thing, you'll see, is the usual quick manual and important information guide. Next up is your sim ejector tool and a clear jelly case with a tinge of gray which should keep your device nice and safe below.
That is the phone itself, and I can already see a bit of that lovely design. Let's just set that aside and finally at the bottom of it all is your 30 watt, dart charging, brick and, of course, an USB type-c cable with some green accents with nothing else in the box. Let's take a look at the actual phone itself. Now, if you've seen our hands on the realm 8 pro, then this shouldn't be much of a surprise, but either way we can't get over the rear panel's design. It's just a refreshing look to see.
Apart from the large camera module, you'll see a dare to leap, logo on the right side and just like the realm 8 pro, it uses a special fluorescent material that absorbs light and emits a magical glow around the camera in low light conditions its available in cyber black and cyber silver colors. But, as you can see, the variant that we have right now is the former just keep in mind that the back is made up of plastic, although it actually feels quite sturdy, so no complaints there, the glossy back, can be quite a fingerprint magnet. So if you want to keep this device nice and clean you're going to want to slap on the included jelly case with a thin and light design of 8 millimeters and grams, it also feels perfect to hold in the hand and even with the case on it, still feels quite slim, giving you less hand fatigue when used for long periods like when you're gaming. The sides of the phone is clad in a matte like finish on. The left is a triple card, tray slot with a dual sim and a dedicated micro SD slot, and on the right, are your volume, rocker keys along with the power slash sleep button, the top of the phone is your secondary noise, cancelling microphone and finally, at the bottom.
We are greeted with your USB type-c port single bottom firing speakers, two holes for the primary mic, and we still get a 3.5 millimeter jack nice. The front panel sports, a 6.4-inch full HD plus super AMOLED display and comes with a pre-installed screen protector to minimize, getting scuffed up right away and just like its bigger brother, it's one of the biggest highlights of this phone. Since last year's realm 7 only came with an IPS panel. It's also got a very bright screen, peaking up to a thousand nits, so using this under harsh lighting should be easy to do. It still does retain that single punch hole camera in the top left corner.
Lastly, the realm 8 also has a touch sampling rate of 180 hertz for a better touch experience for things like gaming. Now one of the key aspects of the realm 8 is the mighty MediaTek hello g95 gaming processor, consisting of an outscore chipset with a max clock, speed of 2.05 gigahertz for the dual cortex a76 course, and 6 cortexes a55 cores clocked at 2 gigahertz. It's also paired by a Mali g76, mc4 GPU. So if you like to play games such as mobile legends, bang, bang League of Legends, wild rift, PUBG and cod mobile, then this can deliver an exceptional gaming experience and as well as handle daily tasks without a problem. The Realme 8.
We have now comes with 8 gigabytes of ram, but there are 6 and even 4 gigabyte options that could possibly be available locally as well. We'll keep our eyes peeled for that running. The software department is real mini 2.0, based on android 11. There is a good amount of bloatware, so from 128 gigabytes of storage, only 111 gigabytes will be available out of the box, which should still be enough to store games and multimedia content. Without a hiccup.
Thankfully, unnecessary apps can be deleted for extra space. But if that's not enough, you can always expand it up to 1 terabytes via a micros card. As for security, we get an under display fingerprint scanner as well as face and lock, both of which work quite well, especially the latter. The Realme 8 is also equipped with a 5 000 William hour capacity battery with 30 watts, dark charge, support we're expecting some great results from this device, so stay tuned for our battery and charging test, as we want to find out for ourselves too quickly heading over to the cameras, we're getting a quad shooter setup and if you're, keeping up with the trend, this design should be somewhat familiar to see. That's a 64 megapixel main sensor, an 8 megapixel for ultrawide, a 2 megapixel macro and another 2 megapixel sensor for depth.
Sensing, while at the very bottom sits the LED flash module at the front of the phone. You can find a 16 megapixel, selfie shooter, both the front and the back seem to have as on board, which is going to be good for getting those stable shots. The realm 8 series is also reportedly the world's first tilt shift time-lapse video lens. So there are quite a few features to check out here, we'll get back to you guys for camera quality in our full review. So stay tuned for that.
But for now here are some sample shots for your viewing pleasure with a great design, decent set of cameras and a generous battery capacity.
